Holiday Inn Express & Suites Dahlonega - University Area

Jackie Felix is an EXCEPTIONAL AGM! She went above and beyond to ensure we had a great stay. Nate, maintenance engineer, was also extremely helpful, friendly and quick to respond to a minor room request. I highly recommend this HIExpress & Suites if you are ever in Dahlonega, GA.

Everything was nice, but the breakfast. Breakfast was very bad. Options were limited and each one of them were not healthy.

I had planned a one night stay with my daughter-in-law and 4 year-old granddaughter. I was able to check-in with a lovely young lady with no problems. We easily got settled in our room. The accommodations were very nice, and we had a nice view to be able to see the lights. I asked for a late checkout and was given a time of noon, which worked out fine. The only disappoin**ents were first the indoor pool seemed a little stained. The water was heated but not warm enough. My granddaughter enjoyed swimming before bedtime. The only real complaint was with the breakfast. We arrived midway through the serving hours. The room was packed with guests, and all the seating for more than two people was all occupied. There were two available tables that seated two people with very small round tables. We finally found one of those and were able to move a chair to the table. The small table was cramped with 3 of us trying to eat there. The worst problem was that midway through serving hours, they were running out of everything. There were foods that were gone, and they ran out of plastic forks. We inquired at the front desk for more, and they said they were completely out of them. The food was pretty good. However, the only available protein options were a southwestern omelette and sausage links. They were out of yogurt. Scrambled eggs and bacon or ham would have been good. The dining area was very congested and people were using the lobby. The dining area needs to be reconfigured.

Had a great Chris**as-time stay with family two children. It is right on Main Street with shopping all around. The staff was great. We needed assistance both days and they were happy to help. Breakfast was really good. They ran out of their delicious sausage gravy on the second day but we got down to breakfast around 9 so it was a little late. The room was very clean and everything worked well. Bathroom was clean and had no issues with hot water. Highly recommend staying here while in Dahlonega. They have two floors of parking. Didn’t know this checking in but we eventually found the basement level lot.

Very clean and quite spacious King suite! Staff friendly and helpful with any questions. Breakfast had good variety and was hot, coffee good. Can't say enough positives ref location being literally just steps away from town square. The ONLY thing a bit off was fairly low water pressure at sink for some unk reason. Overall Excellent overnight stay. Tip- theres a great tavern right across the street- great grub & drinks w quite reasonable prices.

Getting into parking garage was difficult, the gate would not open and no one would answer the call button. We later discovered that garage was full but we did not know that and also did not know there was another garage on site. Someone finally came out to help. She was very nice and helpful with all of our needs.

This location is super close to the square and walking distance many dining options & shopping!

Hotel was awesome! Would stay here again, if in the area. Convenient to the square, and local shops/ restaurants.
