This place should be shut down until it is really ready for guests. I don't know what rooms these people that are saying ”clean and nice”, and such stayed in, but the room I had was disgusting and have pics to prove it! It was very dirty and smelled like a mixture of cigarette smoke and mildew. The only place to sit in the room was either on the bed or in one of the two dining chairs at an old, small dining table. No regular chairs or tables. The mini fridge was full of water. It was supposedly a non-smoking room, but there was burn marks on the bathtub and counters and it smelled like an ashtray. The floors were horribly dirty with dirt and grit all over them. We ran out of hot water every morning. They say they are soundproofed rooms, which is a crock of crap. You could hear the people in the rooms on either side and above you. The main door looked like a dog peed on it a month or so ago and was never cleaned. The curtains were torn up. The bathroom door looked like they took an old house closet door and threw some old giant hinges on it, chopped it down to size with a hatchet and hung it. Some of the receptacle covers were broken off. The light above the sink had nicotine stains and scum on it. The tub/shower was grossly stained, and the shower rod had rust all over it. The headboards of the beds were filthy and was sloppily painted all over with cheap silver stickers on them that were peeling off. My wife slept on top of the bedspread with a sweater over her because of the condition of the beds. The lamp shades didn't even have the screw caps to hold them on, so if they got just slightly bumped, they fell off of the lamps. There was supposed to have been a hair dryer in it, so I called, and he brought this old filthy wall mount dryer and screwed it to the wall right above our belongings, letting the sheetrock just fall all over our stuff. The dryer had yellow stains all over it and smelled like cigarettes and mold, and the cord had a piece of scotch tape on it that was slimy yellow stained. It was just non usable. The room had not been cleaned or maintained properly in a long time. It was blatantly obvious! The ice machine was not working and was sitting out in a filthy breezeway. It was very dirty and had duct tape holding it together. It also had some nasty stuff all over the front of it, like bird pee or something. They just spray painted over rusty pipes to hide the rust, but it was painted on the walls behind the pipes. Very trashy looking. I reported these things to the staff and the manager came and sprayed a little cleaner in the tub and mopped over the vinyl floor with a swiffer, which just moved the dirt around, while wearing some kind of an old foolish looking concierge suit, that was worn, I guess, to try to look like a bellhop or something. He told me he was the manager when I made the reservations a couple weeks ago, but when I arrived for my stay, I spoke with the owner and he stated that he just appointed this guy manager th

Overall, this is a very well maintained, older Fairfield Inn. The front desk agents were very professional and provided my wife and I with much information regarding the shows and dining options in town. The old is kept fairly clean and everything is in good working order. However, we did have a very negative experience with a member of the housekeeping staff. Well it wasn't necessarily our experience with the housekeeper, it was more of our observation of her and her child. My wife said that her name was shannon or sheena. Unfortunately, this housekeeper was not very well groomed, looked like she was a serious drug addict, and had her child at work with her chasing her around in the hallway. The housekeeper was losing her temper and cussing at the disobedient kid, instead of focusing on the items we were requesting of off her cart. Clearly, she hadn't slept for a while and/or was sky high on drugs. At any rate, it was an incredibly unprofessional scene for any hotel bearing the Marriott name. M.aybe this housekeeper was having an off day, but this type of scene is unacceptable

My husband and I stayed one night and it was a very pleasant stay. The room was clean, updated, and seemed very private considering our location. We would definitely recommend the hospitality and would stay again.

We made an unplanned trip to Branson, celebrating our anniversary. It was one of those ‘let’s do this’ moments - we decided we wanted to see the Presley’s Country Jubilee. We love their show - saw it on our 1st anniversary & many times since, but haven’t been in a few years & just decided to celebrate our # 55 at the Presley’s! We arrived in Branson about 5:30pm & didn’t think we would have any trouble finding a room. But most of the hotels we checked were already filling up. One of the ladies told us that Holiday Inn Express had a couple more rooms available so we went there. We were able to get a room but the price!! We took it & got to our room. Very nice & clean; bed & pillows were really comfortable; the bathroom & vanity area was also clean. But when we got ready to shower, the rubber bath mat was so stained & nasty!! It needed thrown away & replaced or plenty of Clorox applied! Everything else about the room was great! Eating breakfast the next morning was a real challenge. The breakfast area & pool were on the 2nd floor so the 2 available elevators stayed full with people checking out, loaded down with luggage; & people trying to go to the breakfast area or carry breakfast back to their rooms. The breakfast area was extremely crowded - felt like we were almost stacked on top of one another. I tried to eat cereal because the lines to the one waffle maker was LONG & the line to the biscuits & omelets the same. They had completely run out of milk so dry cereal was my breakfast! There were a number of positives about this hotel - price, bath mat, & breakfast experience turned out to be negatives!
