Reviews of Tucuman Palace Hotel

I stayed there from 25/07 to 26/07, as part of a short business trip. The hotel is adequate, although it is modest. I saw many negative comments about the cleanliness and the bathroom infrastructure. In my case, I stayed in room 509 and the bathroom was brand new, with hot water pressure that worked at all times. I did notice that the room was getting on in years, but honestly it was adequate. It is a 2-star hotel, so you cannot expect the same as from a higher-end establishment. The breakfast is adequate as well, with coffee with milk, toast, croissants and juice. I think the location is fine for work, but not so much for tourism. I found the staff to be adequate, especially the night receptionist. I can point out a few details. First of all, although I found the establishment to be clean in general terms, the sheets had some stains. Secondly, the truth is that the quality of sleep was not the best, due to the constant noise of the air conditioner (I must also point out that sometimes anxiety about the obligations that must be fulfilled sometimes contributes a lot) which made it difficult to rest. Finally, I had some setbacks with my reservation. My work made the same through the Rosario agency Four Points, who in turn outsourced it to another agency and that caused setbacks. Regarding this last point, first of all, I called in the afternoon before arriving at the hotel to notify them of my arrival. The person who answered the phone, according to what they told me at the reception desk when I arrived late at night, mistakenly selected in the system that I had checked in. When I arrived, they told me that there was no reservation, which represents a tense situation at night. Then, the next day, at the reception desk they asked me to pay ARS 21,000 for the night in the Single, even though it was prepaid. Finally, after some efforts by the staff, they were able to confirm that the payment had been made, although the Four Points company had not notified the transfer (according to the hotel staff, something that I cannot directly corroborate).
