I was in town for a training and had the privilege of staying at Wildberry Lodge. The room was spacious and had a lovely view. The bed was extremely comfortable as well. The homemade breakfast each morning was absolutely amazing! The hospitality is top notch and everyone goes out of their way to make you feel welcome and relaxed! The views are absolutely spectacular and breathtaking !Will definitely stay again!

Wildberry Lodge is tucked away in the Blue Ridge Mountains. The scenery is spectacular making the views from the lodge breathtaking from almost every angle. Glenda and Ken have designed their rustic home with great care and attention to detail to maximize the comfort of their guests. The lodge itself is made of hand peeled logs with ceilings that seem endless. This makes the lodge both cozy and spacious at the same time. Glenda is a gourmet chef turning out different three course masterpiece breakfasts every morning. Glenda is a fabulous hostess and makes you instantly feel like you are family rather than just a guest. We would love to return and stay in the Blackberry Suite during the peak time for the fall foliage. Checked and the suite has already been reserved for this autumn. I can see why! We stayed in the Blackberry suite for two nights. It is located on the main floor. We loved the lodge and the relaxing setting so much we decided to extend our stay another night. The Blackberry suite had already been booked however we were seamlessly moved over to the Gooseberry suite for the final night. The beds in both rooms were super comfortable with high-end mattresses, pillows, and sheets. The Blackberry suite is quite spacious and has its own stone fireplace in the bedroom and a huge window overlooking the mountains. There is a TV in the bedroom. There is an adjacent living room with a dinette table that also overlooks the mountains. It also has a refrigerator and microwave. The living room opens onto a small deck with an outstanding view. The bathroom is enormous with both a beautiful shower and a jetted spa tub. It has a vanity with double sinks and lots counter space. The lighting was the best that I have ever seen in a B&B bathroom. The toilet is private and in its own space with a door that closes. The bathroom also houses a large closet and there you will find luxurious spa robes and other amenities and necessities. The Blackberry Suite is somewhat expensive but worth every penny. The Gooseberry suite is less expensive and smaller and is located on the upper floor. It has a bedroom and bath and has a small deck. The bathroom has a jetted spa tub. There is no shower which was not a concern to us.The Gooseberry suite opens on to a communal sitting area that is shared by the other two suites on this floor. There you will find a TV, refrigerator and various snacks. The communal sitting room is quite spacious and also comfy and cozy. The leather sofa is gorgeous and ever so comfortable. It is coupled with a huge drum coffee table that is quite unique. Glenda is quite the talented cook. All three mornings she presented her guests with three course breakfasts made with fresh ingredients. She said that she has over one hundred breakfast recipes and tries to change the menu each day so that she does not repeat the same menu twice for any guest. Every evening there was wine and appetizers which were delicious as well. There are so many notewort

The overall experience is one we will never forget. The dogs, fireplace, and the breakfast. This lodge not only exceeded our expectations, but the setting at top of a mountain was breath-taking. Definitely warrants a return.

My wife and I stayed two nights as we visited Biltmore and the Asheville area. The rooms were awesome as well as the most beautiful views. I can’t say enough about how good the breakfast was, Glenda is definitely an awesome cook and great host. We hope to go back in the future for sure!

The room was wonderful. Loved the lighting at night. The weather absolutely cooperated. The hiking trails and the hike were so enjoyable. It was more fun to get to meet and greet the cows. The innkeeper Greta and Ken were a joy to be around. and the breakfast each morning was delicious. I especially enjoyed the fire in the fireplace on Saturday morning.
Response from Property: Thank you!

What an amazing place for a quiet retreat. Our hosts were wonderful, made delicious breakfasts, and had great stories to tell. The place is beautiful. No need to go anywhere. Just relaxing in the huge living room with a book watching the humming birds come back and forth on the deck was perfect. There's also a great trail to hike and if you're lucky, you might even cross path with the three goats that roam freely in the woods.

Glenda and her husband are amazing hosts. The lodge has a very natural wood feel to it and is very clean. My wife and I went for our anniversary and we loved our stay here. The view is absolutely stunning (especially with the perfect weather we experienced). We love the goats and varied other farm animals on the property as well. My wife and I are big foodies so we were a bit skeptical about the breakfast initially. Our skepticism was alleviated at first bite of the first breakfast that came with our stay. The breakfast foods were fantastic. We particularly enjoyed the lemon blueberry French toast. I suppose there is good reason for the recipe being on the lodge’s website. Of note, the lodge is a beautiful 25-30 minute drive through the country side to Asheville. My wife and I strongly encourage people to experience Biltmore estate of you can afford an $80+ per person ticket depending on what you’d like to do there. In my opinion it is worth it. Be prepared to spend a little extra money in the estate for food and potentially wine. Thank you so much Glenda and Ken. We will be back with friends!
Response from Property: Thank you so much Joseph! We loved having you stay with us. I am glad you found Wildberry in your search - I look forward to seeing you again.

My partner and I absolutely loved the place! We stayed in the cabin suites and it was nice to be in a very private space. The views from the main house are incredible and the animals are all super friendly.

Property is set on the side of a hill with glorious views over the mountain. A log cabin with a magnificent double volume lounge area with picture window views and an out door terrace. Convenient for Asheville and lots of great walking a cycling nearby.

Just got back from the Asheville area and I couldn’t be happier about our family’s stay at Wildberry in the Wineberry cabin. The views are gorgeous, the accommodations are cozy, the main lodge areas are beautifully decorated and charming, and the food- oh my goodness, the food! Having not been to the area before I was debating between staying downtown Asheville or more in the outskirts of town to get that mountain feel. I am so happy that in all my Google searches I happened upon Wildberry and decided to go with it after reading all the great reviews. The breakfast every morning was an absolute delight- different each day, but all equally delicious. Most days we didn’t need lunch as breakfast filled us up for the day and were able to explore and hike all day. The drive into Asheville is a beautiful winding drive through the country, but a quick 20 minutes. There is so much to explore in the area, we feel we barely scratched the surface. Glenda and Darla were gracious hostesses and truly made us feel welcomed and taken care of at every turn. Southern hospitality abounds at Wildberry! The title says it all- a true gem of a place! I hope to get back in a different season, although peak fall is pretty hard to beat.

My first b & b experience and it was outstanding! The hosts were not only accommodating to any request asked but the sincerity behind the action made this stay truly appreciated. My favorite example was how breakfast was brought "down the mountain" to our area on time and it was truly gourmet quality!
Response from Property: Thank you ! Hope all is well. Let us know if you need an escape.

Glenda & Ken are living a dream. The Lodge is constructed from logs from Minnesota / Wisconsin and they both helped in the finishing of the interior. Absolutely beautiful! Our suite had a sun room and an outside deck. Each room has an ensuite bath and our room had a very comfortable king bed. The breakfast prepared by Glenda was "top shelf" better than any breakfast from a hotel. If you are looking for a great B&B near Asheville, NC look no longer! Contact Ken & Glenda at the Wildberry Lodge in Leicester, NC.

This place is absolutely beautiful!! You can’t beat the view. The rooms are fabulous. The owners are some of the nicest people we’ve met. The hot tub on the deck, along with its view, is perfect for after a day of hiking through the mountains!! We can’t say enough good things!!! We would definitely stay here again.
Response from Property: Thank you so much for the review. Have a wonderful summer.
