Appalling service and worse, inability to acknowledge failures. No mobile phone network, no information on whether charges levied for use of phone in room,no response over 36 hours to repeated requests for different pillows and repeated requests for health and safety measures to be taken (bathroom floor was dangerously slippery). Unacceptable failure, on third day, to service our room at all, and it was found not cleaned on return even after special personal request to chamber maids, Also, car park full for paying guests because of wedding, prioritised over guests paying full amount. Decided against ever booking this hotel again after over 15 years of visiting and overlooking similar failures of service. Setting of deer park fabulous but this view of deer park exploited by owners of hotel for years as excuse to provide inferior service and fittings. Wardrobes and bedroom furniture dreadfully clumsy and dated; upholstery run down. Supposedly an equestrian centre run from the manor but that ended a decade ago. Hiding behind 'history ' of 'Manor House' to offer an over-priced, run-down, feeble imitation of an elegant experience. Reviewed on Sat, 16 March 2024
