I totally recommend Le Riad hotel. It’s a great place that holds and tells history. Zeeyara restaurant is a hidden gem in Cairo. Original Egyptian cuisine, authentic, delicious food! Great ambience in the heart of Cairo. Love Le Riad. Thank you for your hospitality

Great stay, enjoyed the beautiful room and the service. The restaurant on the roof provided great views and great atmosphere. Enjoyed sitting on room terrace watching the crowds below. Every staff member was smiling and helpful. Enjoyed being in the middle of all the fun.

We stayed in the Mahfouz Suite on our last night in Egypt and thoroughly enjoyed our short stay. It was dark when we arrived (during Ramadan) and all of old Cairo was celebrating. The manager exchanged currency for me so I could do some last minute gift shopping at the Khan El-Khalili market down the street, and one of the staff even joined me later to help me bargain with a vendor. Our suite was clean and beautifully decorated. Sure, it was loud, but not raucous, and the hotel provided earplugs by the beds. We had to leave super early for the airport, so the hotel provided box breakfasts for us. I would stay at Le Riad again without hesitation!

This is a great quaint boutique hotel. The rooftop has great views as well as great food. We stayed at the Ottoman suite, it was spacious with lots of different rooms to hang out with a nice balcony. The bed was soft, in a good way, comfortable with great pillows. The only issue with this hotel is it’s great location makes it a great spot for nightlife but not for resting.

This is a great hotel, very clean, with spacious rooms and comfortable beds, located in old Cairo near Khan El Khalili Bazaar. We enjoyed walking around in the evening in this very old, very lively, neighborhood. The rooftop restaurant is very good and we very much enjoyed the tanoura dancers and musicians during dinner. The staff was very helpful. (Room 5 had wonderful decor, but was noisy. Room 10 on our return was quieter.) For us this was a much better hotel choice than a big international chain hotel.

Charming hotel right in the midst of the Old section of Cairo. Large, comfortable room with friendly and efficient staff. It’s a bit noisy in the evening but that’s part of the fun and excitement of Egypt. Felt like we were in an Indiana Jones movie!

During Ramadan there is a lot of very loud noise/music/firecrackers in the street around this hotel from sunset to sunrise. This is an old hotel and the windows dont seal any noise out at all. We were given ear plugs when we arrived but they were ineffective and painful to sleep on. We may have got 2 to 3 hours intermittent light sleep on each of 2 successive nights despite being sleep deprived. Not happy. This old Cairo hotel is atmospheric, clean and functional. V nice staff. V Good food. Excellent view of the old town from the roof level restaurant. Were charged $6.40 for a 40 gram pack of Pringles in the room (no there were no prices ) Another 5 star hotel in Cairo charged $2.40? I don't know what the noise level would be like outside of Ramadan.

The boutique hotel has suites only and these are absolutely amazing. The furnishings are a feast for the eyes and they are also very large. From the balcony you can watch the chaos in the bazaar of old Cairo. We had the Syriana Suite facing the Bazaar and it was very noisy. Thanks to our tiredness from sightseeing, we didn't need earplugs (provided by the hotel). If you are sensitive to noise, book a suite at the back. The rooftop restaurant is very welcoming, cozy and very, very good. The staff in the hotel and in the restaurant are extremely friendly and incredibly helpful. One of the restaurant managers gave up his day off to organize something for us and bring it to us on the day of departure. At the beginning of our trip we stayed at the Steigenberger, which was also very good. But this Le Riad at the end of our cultural trip was absolutely amazing. Oriental and wonderfully harmonious, a successful conclusion of the trip! Any time again!

Booked this hotel through our Memphis Tour company and it was a lovely stay! Located in the heart of Old Cairo, this hotel boutique had very friendly staff who went above and beyond to accommodate. The rooms are spacious and the staff was quick to help us when we had to change rooms due to miscommunication on number of beds. Also, make sure to check the restaurant at the top for delicious Egyptian cuisine and a relaxing rooftop. Just a heads up though, Old Cairo gets very active at night and the noise can bother some but the hotel also provides ear plugs :)
