Have just returned from a week at the Atolon. This hotel far exceeded my expectations. I cannot find fault with anything at all. After originally booking bed and breakfast we decided to upgrade to half board as it seemed such a good deal. We did expect to still go out and eat some nights but the food was so good we dined in the restaurant every evening. Our room was in block 2 on the opposite of the road to the main reception building. We had a lovely sea view and also view of the promenade so great for people watching too. Our room was basic but spotless and I found storage ok. I did take some hangers from home although there were plenty there . The room had air con which we used a couple of nights but mainly we had the balcony doors open throughout day and night. Staff were friendly and helpful and always on hand . The pool and the sea view really make the Atolon very special and the beach bar with comfortable seating was perfect for chilling and watching the sea. We came in half term and although this was not an adult only hotel there were very few children at the hotel as if I’m honest it wouldn’t really appeal to children and I’m sure there are plenty of other hotels in the area more geared up for families. We went to other hotels and bars for entertainment in the evening which wasn’t a problem.I would 100% recommend Hotel Atolon for a relaxing quiet chilled out holiday at a good price .

Pros - staff very friendly Room - clean and tidy, people say not enough storage but there are two large shelves under hanging (I always travel with more hangers) Side sea view we were in the block behind reception, fist floor sun all morning (would have preferred a higher located room) Plenty of sun beds. Pay more for drinks in the bar area but that’s the sea view and ambience i guess. Breakfast plentiful Cons - food on an evening (we stayed half board) Very little prepared food and served in large ceramic serving bowls (which do not keep it hot) so had to go to the hot plate where the chef was cooking food so slowly that large groups of people waiting for their meal to be cooked so you couldn’t get near the hot plate area to even see what there was and the chef was very slow (unlike on a morning). I don’t know how they acquire the 4 star rating, definitely not a 4 star in our experience. I was taken ill with food poisoning for two days and only ever ate at the hotel. Another lady was also ill (her husband asks us where we had purchased immodium from. Was glad to leave The food was never hot and no microwaves if you wanted to hear it.

Here now…😎 Great hotel for the price we paid through Jet2. Location wise everything is on your doorstep Harbour short distance stroll and Cala Millor walking distance and all on flat ground along the Promenade with Shops Bars & Restaurants. All the Staff we have engaged with are very helpful and all cheerful, Our room is in the building set behind the Main Hotel across the Promenade with a side sea view. But actually it was facing the Sea with the Sun in the mornings (see added photo) for Coffee on the Balcony, The Room all though basic has everything you need down to shampoo and shower gel. If you need a kettle ask at reception (free of charge as is the safe ( Bring your own Coffee Tea etc as it isn’t provided). Breakfast 8 until 10am, very well organised with everything you need Full English with (proper Bacon), fresh fruit etc.. Also eggs cooked to order by the Chef (You may have to wait a couple of minutes while it’s cooked but hey your on holiday what’s a few minute's wait haha…We are on HB terms and so far the evening meals have exceeded our expectations (but what suits one doesn’t always suit another)There is no entertainment at night anymore which to us is not a problem as it’s ready available all along the Promenade. Would I recommend this Hotel? I most certainly would 👍

Hotel situated in the best location for a lovely sea view whilst sunbathing. Always free sun beds throughout the day. The rooms in the hotel were nice and clean just needed a bit more storage space for clothes. Breakfast and dinner food was always served hot and fresh with a good selection each day. Only thing that could be improved is to maybe have a second coffee machine and another chef cooking the dishes as sometimes there was a queue for the freshly cooked dishes. Came to Majorca a couple of years ago and always came to the entertainment this hotel had in the evening including an ABBA tribute and Blues tribute. However there is now no entertainment on any evening which is a major loss as that is why we booked this hotel for this year. The entertainment space has been turned into a beach resort which you have to pay 25 euros for the beds for a day! All in all the hotel was lovely but please bring back the entertainment as it is a massive loss!!

We have almost finished our 11 night stay at Hotel Atolon . From the minute we arrived , we found staff really helpful and friendly . The hotel was extremely clean , housekeeping worked very hard . The gym was small but well equipped . The swimming pool was very clean with many sun loungers available . There is a beach club area , which is beautiful , but we didn’t use it except for a drink after our evening meal , lunch was also available there .. The food was excellent , freshly prepared with a really wide variety, chefs great. The rooms , as mentioned in previous reviews are compact , but we didn’t spend a lot of time in our room . We upgraded to sea view and it was really worth it , wakening up to spectacular sunrises every morning . Lovely Hotel , would definitely like to return .

We booked with Jet2 through a travel agent and we were not told there was no evening entertainment and this was why we booked . We request a sea view but did not get one and were not told we had option to upgrade to sea view room . The room we had was small and not 4 star but was clean and had outside space with loungers looking at brick wall but suited me . The food was good only downfall dining room far to small for the amount of guests also show cooking very slow one thing at time . The noodles are nice but cooked in far to much oil. Most staff friendly but manager needs some customer care training she walks around dining room and looking at staff they were all very busy and having your boss standing staring at you must have put them on edge . The couple we went with asked ger why no entertainment she replied its our hotel and this is what they want seems like she didn't like he questioned her about it . A must if you visit Atalon is Pepes bar just where bus drops off he is the best funny bar man . If your looking for basic clean hotel book here but not much more . 25 euros to hire sun loungers .

After reading reviews on trip advisor we booked this hotel with Jet2. The hotel is spotless and the staff friendly and very hard working. The pool area lots of sun beds and the view out to sea is wonderful. The rooms are very small, a cubby hole with ten hangers and two small shelves. One bedside cabinet and one table. My husband had to keep some of his clothes in the suitcase. When booking didn’t realise that you pay not for the room there all the same, but the view. We booked standed and we got from the balcony a wall and an alleyway and scrub land. We did mange to up grade to main hotel sea view for an extra 350 euros for ten days. The block used beside the main hotel is soulless just corridors with doors crammed one after each other. Only bedrooms in here no facilities. The bar area is now a Beach Club area with a small amount of seating for drinks but mainly Balinese beds charged by hotel at 25 euros daily. The total let down is no entertainment any more at this hotel. Could not recommend this hotel as nothing to do in an evening.

What has happened to the Hotel Avalon!! We stayed in this hotel 6 or 7 years ago and enjoyed it so much that we considered returning the following year however the price had risen and we booked elsewhere. However this year we had to change hotels due to roadworks at the hotel we booked in Sa Coma so chose the Atalon. Big mistake!! The entertainment we had enjoyed previously was non existent and the area had been changed to accommodate upmarket sunbeds for an expensive surcharge. Apart from that the evening dinners were absolutely awful. There was a chef doing show cooking but only did one at a time resulting in lengthy waiting times. The alternative to that was a choice of dishes which were presented in an extremely unappetising way which I would compare to a very poor staff canteen. This hotel does not deserve 4 stars in my opinion. The rooms are very small with inadequate storage and although they provide a kettle and cups there are no tea bags, milk or coffee included. Not what I would expect from a 4 star hotel ,

At first sight the main building looks like somewhere Clint Eastwood might put his head down in for a couple of nights in "The good, the bad and the ugly". However, once in the main reception, at the pool and in the restaurant we are talking 4 star +. I would echo the majority of the comments by those previously praising the hotel, they are well justified. My wife and I were in the Suite for 10 nights which I booked directly through the hotel about 9 months ago at a very favourable rate. I would recommend this strategy to anyone. It is a "win-win" situation. The Suite overlooks the sea and gives you access to a very large terrace which includes a huge double Bulinese Bed, 2 sunloungers and 2 parasols. No need to go down to the pool unless you fancy a dip. We were B/B and Evening Dinner which I would recommend all day long. If you're just B/B it's 20 euro per person for Evening Dinner, but if you've paid up front it's 5 euro per person included in the price. Any issues and the reception deal with them without delay. A better beach positioned hotel you'd be hard pressed to find anywhere on the island. There's also a great pub overlooking the sea (The Music Bar) a 5 minute walk towards the harbour. Would we return? Absolutely, in fact we're heading back to the Suite again in a couple of day for another 10 nights.

Lovely hotel, in a great location. Meals were very good, plenty of options. Lots of sunbeds, so no need to reserve. The staff were very pleasant, especially the 2 ladies we dealt with at reception. We loved to see the local cat, who has decided the hotel is a great location too, and home for the day. The hotel is based right in between main Cala Bona and Cala Millor. Entertainment was OK, to be fair, entertainment isn’t our cup of tea, so we only caught an occasional song coming back to the hotel. However, the place was full every night, so it must be good.

Excellent hotel , brilliant staff , food amazing , Mariana (superstar) pool attendant during day and waiting on tables at night has the biggest smile at all times , small issues rooms are adequate size wise but very limited for hanging space for clothes , and restaurant can be cramped when waiting for the show cooking

The hotel is right on the sea between Cala Bona and Cala Millor. Rooms are either side of the promenade with restaurant overlooking the pool. The buffet dinner was consistently the best we have ever experienced with different choices for the six days we were there. The staff were excellent, very helpful all the time with a smile for everyone. We never had a problem getting a poolside sun lounger even though the hotel was more or less full The evening music entertainment outside on the patio was good and varied. A kettle and fridge in the room was a bonus but bring your own tea/coffee, though there are a number of small supermarkets close by. Finding fault is a struggle but the bedrooms could do with a 2nd bedside cabinet rather than a table. Already thinking about going again next year.

Didn’t stay in the hotel but went most nights for the entertainment. We don’t normally do hotels so this was all new to us. The entertainment was outstanding with particular mention to the Michael Jackson tribute band who were absolutely amazing. The Michael Jackson impersonator was so good that if you closed your eyes you would think you were listening to the man himself. The choreography from all members of the band was outstanding and it was a fabulous night. Drink prices were great for a hotel given that you are seeing a first class show, with a glass of wine €3.75 euros and a pint €4 euros. I must also mention the waiting staff who were really efficient and pleasant particularly as the place was mobbed.

Didn't stay so cannot comment on rooms etc. Ok. So this place advertises outside on an 'A' board in the street what entertainment is on that night. We went in to watch, ordering drinks while we were there. No questions asked. Towards the end we were asked if we would like any more drinks to which we replied we didn't. We were then asked if we were staying in the hotel. We said we weren't and were then told if we were not guests we shouldn't be there. We were confused as to why the entertainment is s advertised in the street for all to see, that it didn't state it was for guests only. (Why advertise in the street if this is the case?) and why we were not asked the same question when they took previous drinks orders. There were several other couples from our hotel who were also there who were not questioned To the management at the Atolon. Make the rule clear?
