The room was pretty good among the few hotels in Ceuta, but there was a fire on the day we checked in, so it will probably take some time to get it back up.

As I walked into the lobby I wondered what the weird smell was that air fresheners were trying unsuccessfully to cover up. I registered and asked about breakfast. "The restaurant is closed". Not a word about its having burnt down. I eventually realised from reading the previous review in German that there had been a major fire and that the sprinkler system had failed. One whole wing of the hotel is closed off. It's extremely annoying that there was no notice given nor any rebate offered. Even worse, they only managed to get the Internet WiFi back up and running on the afternoon of my second day. I had spent a fortune both on roaming fees and in cafés that had WiFi. This is when the lack of even one English-language TV channel on the room became a real pain. The staff saved this review from one star. However, I can't say that I enjoyed my stay and would not book again for the foreseeable future. I'd advise others not to either.

Hotel is fire-damaged. The place stinks of smoke. The restaurant no longer exists so there's no breakfast (burnt down). The internet didn't work for a whole day. One whole wing of the hotel is closed.
Aircon was minimal. No English programmes on the TV to compensate for the lack of Wi-Fi. i had to spend much of the time outside where there was Wi-Fi in cafes and so on.
No warning given or rebate offered.
i advise not booking here for the foreseeable future.

Bit disappointing, looks like this was a glorious hotel in its day but has gone downhill a bit. Situated fairly centrally next to the pedestrian *****, it can be walked from the port in 10 minutes or so. Window and blackout curtain did an excellent job of keeping out light and street noise. My room was large, quite large but sort of empty-ish. Huge bed. The floor looked like very nice polished dark wood, but the room did lack some light. Storage space was fine (wardrobe was a weird no-door design.) Bathroom was aging, some of the fittings coming off the wall. Only one small white light in the bathroom, very dark…. Small minfridge which was not working. Wifi worked fine. There was a medium-sized flatscreen, could find only Spanish channels. Was not possible to access HDMI input. Breakfast was OK, fairly average.

Tv in the room next door on at volume for 16 hours, do not disturb on the door. No answer when knocked on. Reception said room was empty from day before. Nobody had been in the room for 20 hours. Reception staff miserable and unhelpful
