What a gem. Newly refurbished to a style that reflects the buildings character. Nice muted organic tones with lots of plants and paintings to attract the eye. The staff were wonderfully friendly and helpful and the breakfast was just right for a day on the walls. Would definitely recommend to family and friends. Non smoking with a smoking area on the rear terrace that made the stay absolutely perfect for us.

An excellent find, I'll certainly be recommending it to others. Every detail of this hotel was excellent, the staff were really friendly, helpful and prepared to do whatever to make our stay good. Our room was spotlessly clean, water, biscuits etc. were replaced each morning. A kettle and variety of drinks was a nice touch. Breakfast was really good, plenty of choice, nice fresh fruit, pastries etc. The cooked food was individually done to taste. Restaurant recommendations were spot on. Our two night stay was excellent value at £159 including breakfast. A useful tip is to research parking before going, Chester isn't cheap so good to find something close, I used the shopping centre on Pepper Street, the NCP is costlier. I really can't praise the staff enough, everyone was helpful with a smile. What a wonderful hotel well placed to explore Chester on foot.

Great staff and facilities. Chef Dill and Nicola were fantastic! The location was very convenient. Close to attractions and restaurants. The hotel was also very quiet. A bit of a hike to the room. We were there during the racing meet, that was very interesting.

Great boutique hotel inside the city walls, great location. A beautifully refurbished hotel with great staff, very friendly and informative. The breakfast was amazing, great selection and a relaxing inside/outside area to choose from.

We stayed 2 nights. It has been our best and favourite accommodation in the UK. The rooms are beautiful, spacious and spotlessly clean. Super comfortable and the best bed and pillows by far. The staff are just so helpful, friendly and very accommodating. also very knowledgeable about the town and surrounding area. Would stay here again and recommend to others. This is a great place to stay, nice location in town and short distance to the river. The hotel is clean and the staff were excellent. The breakfast was absolutely magnificent, nice change from buffet breakfasts. The continental breakfast you help yourself the cooked breakfast is served and it was delicious. We would definitely stay here again. Thank you for making our stay so enjoyable, wonderful staff you have.

what a fabulous find. The room was spacious clean and had an very smart new bathroom. The public areas were lovely as was the restaurant.The staff were super friendly and helpful and Lucia on receptions was a joy. The breakfast was the best we have had anywhere well cooked quality ingredients and the staff again friendly and a breath of fresh air. Would definitely recommend and will absolute will go back.

Just spent two nights in this lovely hotel in Chester. The hotel was spotless; our room was extremely comfortable, and the choice at breakfast was awesome. Staff were so friendly and helpful. We'd stay there in a heartbeat if we visit Chester again and recommend it without hesitation.

This place is brilliant. Everything spot on. Building, cleanliness, location wonderful staff, superb breakfast, comfortable bed, tasteful and attractive decor, recently refurbished. Can't wait to return. A special mention for Lucia, Nicky and Becky. So friendly and helpful they made the visit so enjoyable, lovely ladies!

Excellent two nights stay at this lovely newly refurbished hotel. Friendly staff from the moment we arrived at reception to bar service to breakfast service. Everything was spotless and nothing was too much trouble. Great selection of breakfast items and hot breakfast items cooked perfectly served with plenty of coffee, tea and juices. Won't hesitate to stay again when in Chester.

Spent two nights here recently and can't fault the place, staff very friendly and attentive, full.of good ideas for places to go in chester. Beds very comfortable, our was huge, clean and modern rooms. Hotel probably not suited for those with disabilities just due to the steps.

Just had a lovely two night stay with my wife at the Townhouse, can't fault it, from the moment we arrived and the very friendly welcome from the young lady on reception, our room was really nice, very clean and comfortable really stylish and well appointed, very comfortable large bed with great pillows, great powerful shower, great breakfast with lots of choice. Would like to thank all of the friendly welcoming efficient staff for making our stay so enjoyable. Hope to go back soon.

First return since refurbishment. ..they have done a great job it all looks great. Comfy beds and pillows good choice for breakfast. Great location for visiting Chester and still has the same friendly staff really glad we came back and will no doubt return again in the future.

Just returned from an overnight stay in The Townhouse, Chester. What a fabulous little hotel! Perfect location for the city centre and beautifully decorated throughout. The staff were wonderful, so friendly and accommodating. I would 100% stay there again and will recommend it to anyone visiting Chester.
