Hotel Springs Makuhari

I booked this room type during a trade show. I stayed in a smaller room for the first two nights, then moved to this double room for the next two, and I think it was fantastic! It even had a small balcony. It's also relatively close to the exhibition center and the subway station. There are tons of places to eat nearby, plus an outlet mall to browse.

I chose this hotel specifically because of its long history, and it absolutely lived up to expectations! The lobby, corridors, elevators, and rooms all exude a grand 90s style, and the room doors even retain the old-fashioned key entry. My room also had a walk-out balcony with panoramic city views. The hotel's location is excellent, right next to Kaihin-Makuhari Station. Around the station, there are many restaurants, and an outlet mall on one side. On the other side of the hotel, there's even a Sushiro. The staff were all very friendly and helpful, and they offer luggage storage. The only minor drawback is that some of the authentic vintage fixtures, like the faucets, were a bit difficult to use. Also, the hotel follows environmental regulations, so they don't offer full daily room cleaning.

I always stay at Spring Hotel for my business trips because it's so close to Makuhari Messe. There's a bus stop right downstairs with direct buses to both Haneda and Narita airports, which is incredibly convenient. Plus, there are tons of restaurants nearby.

The room was spotless, and the hotel staff were incredibly friendly. I unexpectedly started my period, and the Trip.com agent helped me communicate with the hotel to quickly resolve the issue, which was incredibly thoughtful!

Decided to attend Tokyo Comic Con last minute and booked this hotel. Hotel prices always skyrocket when there's an event in Makuhari, so there's not much you can do about that. The hotel itself is quite old, the lobby is grand, but the front desk area is small and the service attitude wasn't great. The room size was moderate and it even had a balcony, which is quite rare. Unfortunately, it faced the parking lot, so there was no view. The facilities were a bit dated, and the bedding was very uncomfortable. The floor had new laminate, which was nice, but the downside was the noise. The hotel breakfast area was pleasant and the variety was quite good, but the taste was just average.

The hotel is quite close to the station, about a 7-8 minute walk. The facilities are a bit old, but there are a decent number of power outlets. It's quite convenient for getting to the convention center; it takes about 20 minutes to walk back leisurely after the event. There are no convenience stores nearby, so you have to go closer to the station to buy anything. Overall, it's good value for money.
