Baymont by Wyndham Cincinnati

I CANNOT SAY THIS ENOUGH . . . . DO NOT STAY HERE! ! This by far was the worst hotel we have ever stayed in. It is rundown and very much out of date. It seems to be a transient hotel. I can not believe it is a Wyndham brand. This has tarnished my perception of Wyndham. I would never stay in another Wyndham hotel. First let me start off by sayin, the pictures on the Web site are very deceiving. We stayed here for the Cincinnati Music Fest 2022 an ALL the guest who I came across were very displeased. They as we did sat in the lobby for an hour calling around to other hotels. Unfortunately, everyone was sold out. We contemplated sleeping in our truck. Before entering the hotel, as we pulled up we said ”WTH!!!” The outside is not well kept AT ALL. The bushes around the hotel are dried out. No inviting curb appeal. The canopy over the entrance of the hotel had cords hanging down from the ceiling along with huge holes. It seems as if it is ready to collapse. Then when you enter in the lobby there was a bucket with dripping water right at the check in desk. The furniture in the lobby was old, scratched up and needs cleaning. The elevators had panels missing from the ceiling and the rug was dirty. The WHOLE bathroom and room really needs a good cleaning and a paint job. The let out sofa clearly needs cleaning. There were rust or something splattered on some of the walls in the room. Breakfast is included but the serving dishes did not look presentable so we ate out. For the price we paid, and we know Cincinnati hotels jacked up their prices because of the Music Fest, but it was not worth it and again I caution you NEVER stay at this hotel. We live and we learn. Stick with what you know to be a great place to lay your head in your home away from home. If we could have gotten our money back and stayed somewhere else, we would have ran there.

My husband and I stayed at the Fairfield on our way home from Florida. The hotel is being renovated now. The lobby and room that's used for the complementary breakfast are very nice and modern. The breakfast itself was very good - lots of choices and everything was fresh. The room we had was small but very comfortable. The bathroom seems to have been recently renovated and was very nice. The furniture in the room was comfortable and thoughtfully designed. The bed was VERY comfortable. We would definitely come back to this hotel in the future.

First of all, I wasn't even going to write this review. BUT... I got the email from Comfort Suites/Choice Hotels asking for feedback.... and when I kept trying to leave this review, it would not let me! Maybe an algroithm prevents me from leaving the bad review. So... here is what I tried to leave as my review on their feedback form: ***We have stayed in several hotel this summer across the Midwest and mid Atlantic states. And... this one was the worst. But this was the location we needed. The good: Coffee! 1. Very good coffee available 24 hours in the lobby. 2. The mattress was comfortable. The Bad: Everything Else. :-( A. Workers moving a safe using a luggage cart when we arrived. (I don’t know if we used the same luggage cart, but the cart we used had a flat tire and did not roll. B. Had to sign up for a 40 minute time slot to swim, (covid) but when we arrived, they were only two people there... and the door knob to the pool area is broken and when we left the pool area we saw people from the neighborhood going in the back door to the pool area I guess to swim?? They had suits on and towels. Also, jacuzzi (hot tub) was closed? Holiday Inn Express in Ironton hot tub was open in July.) C. Very dirty room. I bumped the plastic cover on the air-conditioning and it fell right off and the inside was caked with mold. Gross! Dirt/dust on floor. D. The air-conditioning unit fan kept shutting off. We like constant fan noise all night for background white noise. E. No fruit at breakfast. Could have had cereal and fruit and milk. But the only thing was muffins. (Muffins are a fancy word for cake.) Our family got three muffins and went back to get another one and a huge group of kids came to the lobby and took all of the muffins. They were loud kids and sort of rude. other hotels we have been to the Summer had served grab bags of meals to go, or cereal and fruit, and a Holiday Inn express we stayed at even had a hot breakfast made to order from the lady working. So..... Mostly, this place needs Deep cleaned. If we have to go back for business, I’m going to try the Hampton Inn across the street. This was not an acceptable stay. Sorry

We stayed here three nights in October. Extremely clean, well-managed facility, recent complete upgrade of all interior spaces. Staff -- from front desk, to bartender, to housekeeping -- are extremely customer-focused, professional, and friendly. Accommodations are quite comfortable -- on par with Marriott's Courtyard brand. An extremely good value. Very surprised it wasn't more crowded.

I used to study at UC, and now I go back to school and feel that the change is still quite big. This hotel is newly built, the facilities are relatively new and very close to the school.

I just got back from a week stay. Overall it was a nice hotel and I would reccomend to anyone staying in the area. It was a short drive to King's Island, Cincinnati Zoo, Newport Aquarium, and other attractions. The hotel was very clean. The kids loved the pool. There was a cart with clean towels to use in the pool area, so no need to bring a towel. There is a washer and dryer across their hall from the pool. It was only $1.50 each. Breakfast was very good and had several hot and cold options. If anything ran low the employee quickly filled it back up. The one employee,I think her name was Cathy, was very friendly and my family looked forward to talking to her in the mornings. The downfalls to the hotel were that the walls are thin and we could hear the guests in the hallways and the people in the rooms beside us. Thankfully we had respectful guests beside us and they were quiet during the night. However if you need to sleep during the day I suggest bringing earplugs. At check in we were told they would clean our room on the 5th day. I understand because of Covid there isn't daily housekeeping. However, I think every five days is too long. We didn't have anyone clean our room during our stay. We were there from Sunday to Sunday. We had to stick our garbage and dirty towels in the hallway. Two different times during our stay we had to go to the front desk for toilet paper and clean towels. We also ran out of shampoo. Thankfully it was on the day we were leaving. Even though our stay wasn't perfect we would defiently stay again because of the employees and cleanliness of the hotel.
