The Richmond Hotel provides a great place for travelers to relax after a busy day. The Richmond Hotel is an ideal choice for travelers who want to take in the sights and sounds of Cairo. Boasting a convenient location, the hotel is just 1km from Misr Cairo Central Station and 18km from Cairo International Airport. Just a short walk from Nasser Metro Station, traveling to most city destinations is a breeze. The nearby area boasts an abundance of attractions including The Egyptian Museum in Cairo, River Nile and Khan el-Khalili. This hotel makes a great place to kick back and relax after a long day of sightseeing.
It is an old hotel, I had no problems and it was very good. The breakfast was great. Only the rooms are very noisy from the street, even during the middle of the night. The location of the hotel is also good, close to Tahrir Square.

Very professional 5-start hotel in the center of Cairo. The staff are very friendly and helpful. They have all the information and assistance you need! We had a nice view of the Nile. Restaurants at the hotel are very good. Will come back again!
It is not far from the Cairo Museum in the downtown of Cairo's old town. In a small alley, it is more difficult to find. It is recommended to translate the hotel address into Arabic. The local driver in Cairo is not very good at English. The hotel room is generally watered in public areas. The service is quite enthusiastic, the floor is relatively low, the door is locked at night, and the hotel does not provide slippers.
Very spacious unit. Warm service beyond expectations. Two individuals were literally amazing. Mr. Ayman the bell captain and Amira in the lobby. They ironed many cerious problems and difficulties we were experiencing. Our k thanks and God bless them
Because I left for Cairo International Airport at 2pm the next day, I rushed back to Cairo from Hurghada and booked this hotel for one night, but it was surprisingly good! The hotel is very large, like a small apartment, with a small living room and appliances such as a stove, a large refrigerator, and a microwave. It's a pity that I only stayed for one night.
Facilities: outdated, full of age
Hygiene: general
Environment: Surrounded by a swimming pool, watching an open-air game at night
Service: The girl at the front desk is very good, arranged early check-in, the main facilities are relatively old, others are OK
Pay attention to Google map, do not navigate by the English name of the hotel, otherwise you will navigate to a village in the city 8km away, just remove the address of the jewel, check the hotel address before navigating
#Praise#Safety, hotel smell, mosquito control measures, room layout, convenient transportation, satisfaction with nearby activities

9.1/10
GGuest UserI have traveled to several countries and stayed in many five-star hotels. In a poor country like Cairo, I am really surprised that there is such a high-end and cost-effective hotel. This hotel has cured me of all the travel fatigue for half a month and made my children happy. .I am happy. I feel like I am a princess 👸 being pampered. And I am really high-end and classy. The ceiling of Egypt.
FFarisalhosniI recently had the pleasure of staying at the Hilton in Zamalek, and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. Nestled on the tranquil island of Zamalek, this hotel offers a perfect blend of luxury and comfort, making it an ideal choice for both business and leisure travelers.
From the moment I arrived, the staff was incredibly welcoming and attentive, ensuring that every aspect of my stay was seamless. The check-in process was swift and efficient, and I was delighted to find my room impeccably clean and well-appointed, with stunning views of the Nile River. The bed was extraordinarily comfortable, providing me with restful nights throughout my stay.
One of the highlights of my visit was the hotel's dining options. The breakfast buffet was diverse and delicious, offering a wide range of local and international dishes to suit all tastes. I particularly enjoyed the freshly baked pastries and the made-to-order omelets. The on-site restaurants also did not disappoint, serving exquisite meals in an elegant setting.
The amenities at Hilton Zamalek are top-notch. The fitness center is well-equipped with modern machines, and the outdoor pool area is a peaceful oasis where I could unwind after a day of exploring Cairo. The hotel's location is perfect for sightseeing, with many of the city's attractions just a short drive away.
Overall, my stay at the Hilton in Zamalek exceeded all expectations. The combination of excellent service, comfortable accommodations, and prime location makes this hotel a standout choice in Cairo. I look forward to returning on my next visit to the city and would highly recommend it to anyone seeking a luxurious and memorable stay.

RRaneem.AfifiIt was an nice experience. I stayed there for two nights before my flight. The location is just a few minutes from the Airport and the perk is the free shuttle service.
GGuest UserLovely smart hotel. Several restaurants. Massage and gym. Staff very friendly and helpful. Hotel nice sbd roomy. Rooms spacious. Would stay there again but if you want to be in the town centre with many shops you need to stay closer to city centre as this, was, about 30 minutes from airport. It didn't matter because everything is a short cheap taxi fare away. Also it's next to a military camp where you can see and hear the soldiers marching from your balcony. If the bugle noise bothers, you at 6am then maybe not for you. Also, but not related to the hotel you'll be woken up at 4am by the, wailing from the mosques but you can't really get away from that can you. The hotel I understand is, owned by the military and so you'll often see soldiers stay there. They weren't any trouble. In fact it made you feel safe.
GGuest UserThe staff here is very friendly and helpful. I met so many lifelong friends here, even travelled the country with a couple people I met here. The common room is air-conditioned and comfortable. Breakfast is good, but the same everyday. The bathrooms are clean and I like the curtains on the beds in the dorms. I would definitely stay here again.
AAnonymous UserIn general, it is not bad for me to stay in a single room with a common bathroom for 10 nights.
Above all, I would like to express my gratitude to the staff's efforts to manage the City Hostel clean which is too old and out fashioned building.
* Location & Transportation
Without noise, it is the best location to stay. It is located at 2 2-minute walk distance from Attaba subway station that connects to the Ramsis Railway Station and the Egypt Museum, only 1~3 stops away, charging 6 EGP per way. Of course, you can go to both by walk in 20 minutes. It means you can also enjoy the Nile riverside which is close to the museum.
And it is a 2-minute walk distance from the Attaba market which is the biggest public market in Cairo and so many locals visit to buy their livelihoods stuff at a cheap price.
In addition, you can also walk to the Al Azhar Mosque and Khan El-Khalili traditional market in 30 minutes, and St. Marc Coptic Orthodox Cathedral in AL Azbakeya in 10 minutes
Two problems I experienced are firstly the noi⁹sy from 8 am to 3 am outside the building due to market area and cars' horns. It took 3 days for me to adapt it. Any room in the hostel cannot escape it without changing the windows to soundproof ones. If you are sensitive to sound, it is better to find other lodges in a residential area or modernized ones.
Secondly, its location on the Uber taxi map and other maps is not accurate, so drivers have some problems in finding the city hostel. I have to meet them in front of the KFC next to the Attaba subway station. The signboard of the hotel is too small to recognize it.
* Building and room conditions
Like many other buildings in Cairo, the hostel building is old and shabby. The interior design and facilities are also outdated. However, the staff manages it so clean, particularly a common toilet and shower room.
It is quite convenient a washstand in each room.
However, it is bad there is no electronic kettle to boil water in a room or a common space. I could not enjoy my tea or coffee time at any time. I have to ask for hot drink water every morning when receiving breakfast, and store it in my tumbler.
It will be better to provide a tea or coffee service area in the hostel.
* Cleanness & Safety
Cleanness and safety are very good. I have no issue with this.
* Services
There is no basic service that most guesthouses provide in general: toilet paper and drink water.
Wifi is too weak to use the internet.
Other services like laundry are satisfied.
* Others
During my stay, I couldn't enjoy having an exchange time with other travelers. I think it is because there is no reason to stay in a common space where only sofas and a table are. Largely guesthouse provides a commonplace where guests enjoy better the internet or drinks including tea or coffee and foods, which makes guests meet each other naturally and structurally.
In conclusion, if the hostel provides basic services like toilet paper and commonplace with drink water and electronic kettles, it will be much better.
And it is necessary to change its signboard so that is more recognizable.
Except issues I mentioned above, it is a very good budget lodge.
AAnonymous UserSemen (male ejaculate) on the window was a disgusting surprise, but it fit with other problems (usb ort needed fixing & only worked with TV on, dreadful cold watery ”alfredo” that had no spoon for tasteless sauce, demand for cash to pay room service that robbed me of taxi money I'd saved to see souk, disappointing breakfast with ”beef bacon” a whitish chemical sausage, inedible noodles & boiled ”curried vegetables” & general vibe that was creepy for solo female. Novotel in Abu Dhabi did so much better!
The average price for hotels in Cairo is US$102 on weekdays, and US$102 on weekends (Friday-Saturday).
