.We had an inside room without a balcony. It was huge ,with sofa ,coffee table. Very clean We were offered to upgrade to a balcony but it was very windy so probably wouldn’t have been able to sit out. Staff were lovely and we had breakfast and there was a huge choice to suit everyone .

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel which is close to several beaches. We found plenty of free on street parking a short walk from the hotel. The room was comfortable, but a bit smaller than what had become used to during our visit to Majorca. Breakfast was good, with the usual assor**ent of meats, cheeses, breads, fruit, and made to order eggs. We had a quick lunch at the hotel our first day and the food and service were good. It was not our best hotel, but still not a bad choice. What would have made it better would have been a friendlier, more engaging staff.

I give this hotel 0 stars because our money was stolen right from our room!!! We arrived from a trip and left our things in the room, we checked that the money was there and left for dinner. After dinner, from about 10 o'clock in the evening, we celebrated the engagement with my fiancé and our friends at the bar and returned to the room after 12 o'clock at night. We have photos and videos that show us sitting downstairs on the bar. After that, in the morning, we noticed that our money was missing, 250 euros from us and 500 euros from our friends. We didn’t pay at the bar, but left it on the account of the room, so the employees honestly knew that we were not in the room now and would not go back soon, and most likely at that moment from 10 to 12 pm they stole our money. We talked to the hotel director, but she did not want to help us and said that she trusted her employees. They also printed out a document for us from the system, which showed what time the entrances to the room were and it showed that someone entered our room while we were sitting at the bar. When asked how this could be, the director replied that she did not know. We have filed a statement with the police and hope that this issue will be resolved. Our friends' money was stolen directly from the safe, which means this cannot be trusted either. The hotel director denies everything and claims that we ourselves entered the room, but this was physically impossible, since we were at the bar all the time and there are photos that confirm this. After we left a bad review on one of the services, the hotel director accused us of lying! There was no assistance or assistance, no one offered compensation for losses or a discount for accommodation. I do not recommend this hotel, you may end up completely without money. Because of this, we were unable to buy gifts and souvenirs when we went to the city of Palma! We are very upset and because of this incident we will most likely never fly to Spain again!

Nice Hotel good foot but the rooms are very basic and small for a 4 stars Hotel. People of the Hotel are very kindly and the view from your room is fantastic . Rooms are very small and very basic . Just to expensive for a 4 stars Hotel.

We have stayed in Colonia San Jordi several times before but wanted to try the Universal Marques. There are many very positive things about this hotel: - Location is excellent - Room - we had a superior sea view, it was lovely and spacious with great views - Cleanliness of the hotel is superb - Staff professional, helpful and polite - Gym - basic but does the job - Food - delicious, lots of healthy choices, freshly prepared and tasty. You have to chose either the earlier or later sitting in the restaurant in the evening and you keep the same slot and table for your stay. - Pool - you have to book and pay for sunbeds. This is an excellent idea but if you are not sat on them other people can use them who haven't paid. This causes tension when you ask people to move. If you book and pay for your beds others should not be allowed to use them, staff need to make this clear. So, the one big issue we had is that everyone smokes and its awful. By the pool people just sit and chain smoke and generally couldn't care less about those in the minority who don't. Its disgusting to be surrounded by smoke all the time and not relaxing when you have to keep moving away. There are tables by the main entrance to the hotel with no smoking signs but people just sit and smoke, especially after meals so you have to walk through a smoke cloud. Even when you try and sit on your balcony everyone is out on theirs smoking. If you are looking for fresh air this isn't the hotel to stay in unfortunately which is a shame because otherwise our stay was perfect. Perhaps the hotel could consider having smoking and non smoking areas to accommodate those who don't smoke who seem to be in the minority.

Very middle scale hotel with fine location in south of Mallorca. Best beaches are reachable by car from the hotel, es Trenc beach reachable in 15-25min walk. Breakfast is great. Sea views from hotel are nice. Mind that all shops and central port with restayrants are located at least 20min walk from hotel. Nice promenade along the sea that starts straight at hotel, great for runners, some nice vistas, but enough with 1 walk. Sunbeds +umbrella on the beach cost 25 eur. Car rent for 2-3days is recommended to see places around, much nicer towns are in 30min drive - Cala Figuera, Santanyi and others.
