Mixed reviews left me wondering what we were coming too but in nearly every aspect of the the hotel has been great. Let's start, bungalows are lovely and plenty of room in apartment. Food is very nice at dinner too, breakfast is fine. Pool bar happy hour is great and in general drink price ok. Though food at pool bar is not brilliant and overpriced. All staff are on the whole very friendly. The entertainment 3 nights was bit mixed though so maybe needs improvement. The complex has lots of Spanish and European family visitors as well and the strict life guard makes the superb pool idea for swing. There is a very decently priced supermarket with the hotel too. The real only negatives are the main strips is a freebie bus or taxi away but as we are HB its really a not big deal. Million dollar questions is would I comeback, yes definitely as nightlife is not why we are on holiday.

We booked a superior bungalow what we got was a Butlins type chalet ripped and moth Eaton curtains, we were visited by several cockroaches and smaller but similar type bugs , we had breakfast and evening meal ( we did try to eat it but gave up after 3 days and we then had to go outside to eat ) . Our “ bungalow “ was immediately behind the bar and the entertainment area and to the side was the arcade both areas were extremely noisy day and especially at night when the “singers” were entertaining and also right under our bathroom window the barrel store so every time the barrels were changed it sounded like a brass band was coming through the wall. Don’t be fooled when the waiter comes to your table and asks you what you want to drink it’s extra not even a complimentary drink with your meal we were chased down the corridor for 2 Fanta drinks . Safe to say we will not be back .
Response from Property: Thank you very much for visiting Caybeach and for sharing your experience with us. We are sorry that your experience was not fully satisfactory We have taken notes about your comments to study the implementation of improvable actions. Yours faitgfully Caybeach

I stayed at the caybeach princess for 7 nights with my boyfriend. The hotel as a whole is lovely, the pool is beautiful and there are plenty of sun beds and parasols around the pool. There is no rush for sun beds, one day we went to the beach for the morning and came back to the pool for around 3pm, and there were still beds available. A little disappointing that no balls or inflatables are allowed in the pool, however we still had lots of fun in the pool anyway. The rooms are clean, and the cleaner comes almost everyday with fresh towels. The facilities in the room are great, the shower is lovely and the beds are very comfortable. The food at the hotel is not the best. We ate at the snack bar on a few occasions, and had breakfast and dinner in the restaurant once. As a vegetarian, the options are extremely limited, and if I were to eat in the hotel all week, I would have been restricted to pretty much just pizza. The food we did have from the snack bar isn’t great, and the evening buffet was not nice, with not many options. The breakfast was okay, but again as a vegetarian I was extremely limited. We chose to eat out for most meals instead, and found a nice restaurant called mr kale about a 10-15 min walk from the hotel, but it did hinder our day having to leave the hotel for breakfast and lunch. The majority of the staff at the hotel are friendly. The reception staff were extremely helpful, and answered every question we had. Taxis can be booked from reception and arrive in a matter of minutes. we did seem to find the bar/restaurant staff a bit rude, also adding to our decision to not eat at the hotel after the couple of days. The location of the hotel is extremely quiet. This could be ideal for most, but it was maybe too quiet for us. We got a taxi into playa del ingles most nights, which is around 10 mins away in a car and would cost us around 7€ a night but was worth it for a bit more of a nightlife, and a wider selection of restaurants and shops. The hotel offers some entertainment, bingo everyday, some evening entertainment, and a few pool tables. The cocktails from the snack bar were lovely. There is a small shop in the hotel which we used frequently, it had everything we needed and we found no need for trips to the supermarket. There is no music around the pool which we would have enjoyed, but some might prefer the peace and quiet. The caybeach princess is definitely tranquil, and we had a lovely relaxing hotel, despite a couple of flaws, but nothing we couldn’t look past.

Have been here 7 times over 12 years. Bungalows are dated but housekeeping in very good. If you're looking for peace & quiet, this is for you. Two pools, very well maintained. We always go self catering as the food isn't for us. A taxi to Playa del Ingles promenade is €5 each way with a choice of restaurants. There is a shop on site with plenty of fresh pastries for breakfast. Fresh bread & English bacon for lunch. There is a kids club in the evening but not much else. The staff are happy & friendly. I'd highly recommend if you want to relax & unwind.

If I could give zero stars I would , I would stay well away from this hotel Firstly, we went self catering and bought some of our utensils and other stuff with us from home. We noticed a few things had gone missing and having searched the bungalow top to bottom we couldn't find them. So we went to reception to ask if the cleaner had accidentally thrown them out . When I asked the receptionist if they could check with the cleaner, the cleaner came and started calling me a liar Then after some discussion she said she would check the bins, then low and behold our stuff came back in 2 minutes. Now I will leave the jury out on this, if you think how many rubbish bags are collected on a daily basis ... To find ours that quick either they store the bags in numerical order when throwing them away or well ... They have been a bit light fingered On the cleaning subject the cleaning was so poor, they literally just sprayed some perfume stuff and that was classed as cleaning, We found ourselves constantly asking for towels and bed sheets which should just be a standard part of the cleaning job, it was quite frankly a disgrace Next we had some neighbours who were just ferrel and so noisy and disrespectful, i'd never quite seen anything like it, for example they urinated on the sun bed, sat in it and just laughed. Granted the hotel staff can't do much, but when informed they were so rude to my other half it was unbelievable, who ever was at the check in desk Saturday afternoon could do with a lesson in decency and manners Lastly me and my partner were so fed up we left early, and the receptionist on Saturday evening who could also do with some training, I said our stay was terrible and his response was and I quote "no worries" and we checked out . Quite frankly a joke to be honest This hotel is a complete and utter disaster class and I would urge people to avoid this like the plague

Staff could not have been better - so helpful and obliging. Apartment clean and spacious good selection for breakfast, no sun lounger wars. Nice and quiet. If anything could be improved it is the lighting at the bungalows and on the way to them, my friends Mum has some visual difficulties and outside lighting is poor at night. Also lack of short cuts from bungalow to reception and door.

The whole place including areas around villas is very clean. Kids and parents can enjoy the clean, big pool every day. There wasn' t enough parasols and sunbeds. I think is very important when all customers can have accses to swimming pool chairs, tables and parasols.
Response from Property: Thank you very much for visiting Caybeach and for sharing your experience with us. We wish to be your next option on your next holidays. It would be such a pleasure to help you in all you need. Warm regards from the South of Gran Canaria Caybeach

On my last day at Cay Beach Princess, as a solo female, I loved it. I booked a superior/premium bungalow, which as far as I can tell the only difference is you get a slightly bigger bungalow but with sunbeds. I was self catering so can't comment on the food, tho it did smell good! There is a small shop on site which is open from 8am-8pm. It's a fair price in general, tho you can get a bigger variety at Faro 2 (15 mins walk) If you're self catering like me, I'd say go to Faro 2, much cheaper on fresh food and booze. I came for a wind down, so didn't do a lot. I did walk to Lighthouse (30mins) and Dunes (40mins). I took bus 32 (from behind complex) to Peurto Mogan which was 4 euros and 30min journey. Peurto Mogan is very pretty, have a look about and stop for a drink/food but only a 2hr visit really. I got the bus 1 back (drops opposite complex), as 32 doesn't run late, but it's a coastal route and takes 1hr, you do feel like an extra on Italian Job !! Cay Beach is a very quiet resort (which I loved), pool opens at 10am, shuts at 6pm, no real entertainment apart from lunchtime bingo. I think kids might be a bit bored, the pool rules are strict, there is air hockey and a pool table but I'm sure they charge Other than a Fri/Sat night singer, there isn't anything else. Most of my neighbours here go to Yumbo centre of an evening. I'd say this resort is perfect for anyone wanting a quiet getaway in the sun. Me, I loved it and ready to book again, as a solo female traveller I felt welcomed and safe. Top Job Cay Beach!

The hotel was absolutely fantastic we had the best holiday. So clean lovely staff the breakfast's were really good and the pool snack bar also very good. After 10 everything is silent but we used to go into town as taxis are so cheap. The little shop is well stocked and plenty to choose from. I really couldn't fault this hotel.

The hotel was ok. But the staff was very unpleasant, the young tall gentleman was very rude, he insulted us a lot, if someone doesn't speak Spanish, it doesn't change the fact that they don't understand. If the hotel does not accept Polish tourists, they could have informed me.
Response from Property: Thank you so much for sharing your experience at Caybeach. We are sorry for the incidences experienced during your stay. This is certainly not the quality of service we want to provide to our guests. We have taken notes of your comment to check this situation. Of course everybody is welcome at our hotel, and english language isn´t any problem in any moment, in fact most ot of our guest speak english. Yours faitfully Caybeach

Second visit to Cay Beach Princess. Last year my Husband and I stayed 2 weeks , bed & breakfast also dinner on 4 or 5 nights. There was always plenty to choice and staff friendly and helpful. The standard 1 bedroom bungalow was clean and we enjoyed the peace and quiet of it's position. Cleaners in most days with towels if we needed them. Whole complex was kept spotless. We returned April this year with our family to celebrate our Golden Wedding, staying in 4 bungalows. I was a bit worried when I read some reviews about cold pool etc but our family age 14 upwards all had a great time at the pool and a few laughs with Natalie and Carlos at the pool bar. Food at the pool bar was good too. Thank you to all the staff for making us welcome.
Response from Property: Thank you so much for sharing your experience at Caybeach. We really appreciate your kind words regarding our staff. All our team work with enthusiasm everytday to make our guests feel at home. It would be a pleasure to see you again! Kind regards from the warm south of Gran Canaria Caybeach

Just returned from cay beach from a weeks stay last time we were here was 2003 when children were younger thought we would revisit on our own as we had good memories we weren’t disappointed still quiet clean, taxis cheap missed faro 2 this time for somewhere to walk used to be full of bars and restaurants only 1 bar 1 restaurant and supermarket still there such a shame we did eat in the restaurant it was really nice. Went to lighthouse most nights lots of restaurants to choose from had breakfast a couple of times definitely worth the money pool beautiful lovely and refreshing can’t understand people saying it’s too cold who wants to get in a warm pool when it’s hot. My only complaint would be shower room on our last day all flooded not a nice experience and I also think the door to where all the luggage is kept should be locked anyone could walk in and out. We would return if we found a good deal
Response from Property: First of all, thank you very much for sharing your experience at Caybeach. This is a very value feedback for us that we really appreciate We have taken notes about your comments to study the implementation of improvable actions. Warm regards from Maspalomas. Caybeach

I read previous reviews and was expecting a quiet resort in a slightly remote area with little organised entertainment. That was what we wanted and was exactly what we got. This is definitely not the place to go if you need lots of things to do organised for you. I don't understand previous reviews complaining about the Caybeach Princess being boring. Clearly they have not read reviews before booking. We loved this place and had a very relaxing week. I hope it does not change into the Butlins some seem to want. We had the basic bungalow which was excellent. With a large lounge and dining area, separate kitchen and bedroom it was as good as any apartment or suite I have stayed in. We went half board so did not need to use much of the equipment provided. There was a comprehensive range of kitchen equipment plenty of glasses, cutlery and crockery. The food was delicious and varied. At breakfast eggs were fried to order. This meant a slight wait at times but was well worth it. Yustin, our favourite chef, prepared perfect eggs every time. We are going back for my significant birthday in January. We have booked the top bungalow with private pool. Not cheap but I know it will be perfect for us. I would highly recommend the Caybeach if you want a quiet, relaxed holiday in a very clean resort. Do not go here if you cannot provide your own entertainment.
