Hotels near Evergreen Plaza in Coolspring Township

We stayed here for a night over 4th of July weekend. I will admit that I was pleasantly surprised! The hotel itself is clean and linens and furniture seem to be in really nice shape. The bathroom was spotless and even the windowsills were clean. The carpet in the room was in need of replacement but it was clean, just worn. My only spots of discomfort were the hallway and elevator. Both were really stuffy. It didn't seem like the air was working in the 3rd-floor hallway at all. Additionally, I noticed a sour smell around the ice machine, but we didn't use it so I can't confirm what the source of the smell was. The pool appeared well-kept and clean, although I would have preferred the door to the pool maintenance room to be kept closed. (It sits right next to the elevator.) Breakfast was standard fare, but good--eggs, sausage, waffles, and several grab-and-go options. They did run out of several things, but they were actively restocking them, so no complaints there! The hotel is about 10 miles from Washington Park Beach but very close to both fast food and sit-down restaurants. Front desk staff was friendly and helpful. One last thing I will touch on is that while we were there, we witness someone coming in and insisting on being let into a room that was not in her name and she didn't have a key. There was no evidence that she was connected with the person that rented the room, and the front desk attendant was firm about keeping her out of the room. Instead of escalating the situation, she called the authorities and had her removed. I would feel safe here, with the decisions that staff make when it comes to security, and also, I would feel reasonably comfortable leaving belongings in the room when gone. Adding in that we got a really good last-minute deal through one of the travel websites, this was a great spot for a great price!

Property was nice, and service very polite and generally helpful. We had a good stay. Breakfast was done very nicely. I would stay again if I was going through this area. There were minor maintenance issues, but they were being actively worked on.

We have been here several times and the place is very clean and comfortable, breakfast is quite varied and can make your own pancakes or waffles, the Manager is Hispanic and is very well-oriented to activities in the area of Michigan City

Car hotel, the hotel's overall facilities are very good, relatively warm and comfortable, breakfast and service are generally a little distance from the airport, if it is closer to the place to go, then recommend
