Holiday Inn Express Mesa Verde-Cortez Reviews

A very satisfactory stay experience. Short drive to Mesa Verde. The service at the front desk was friendly and provided us with some emergency situations of temporary control in Mesa Verde National Park in a timely manner, and also kindly printed a notice to us. Meets Holiday inn standards.

We've stayed in several hotels that were supposed to hold families but many of them have really cramped and thoughtless layouts. This room was pretty nicely laid out with the twin beds off in a separate room which had a TV and PS3 in it. The king-size bed was centrally located which made it double as a place to sit while conversing. There was a desk chair, a foot rest, and a comfort chair, so if you have 6 people in the room you have to sit on the bed. The bath and sink were off to the side and mostly out of the way which was really nice and better for privacy. The sink was outside the bathroom so one person could be taking a shower and another could be getting ready. Made mornings more efficient. Breakfast was good. Overall a great place to stay!

When we have stayed before, breakfast was awesome, this time not so much.. The cheese omlets were all burned but the cheese wasn't melted! One morning the pancakes maker needed filled. There was half biscuit, bacon. We eneded up going out for breakfast at a restaurant

We had an excellent stay at this hotel and the breakfast was wonderful! We have 2 toddlers with us and they really enjoyed the variety of breakfast so we didn't have to worry about what to eat.

The hotel was nice and the staff was friendly. Heated indoor pool and hot tub was nice for my family. I could hear everyone in the rooms around ours which was a bummer. Above us, the room adjacent to us and the hallway were all very loud and we could clearly hear it all from inside the room. The breakfast room was also very crowded, however the staff was quick to replenish breakfast items and coffee. Water in the hot tub was black which was weird too. They claim that it’s due to the filtration system but I’m not so sure. Great location. Very close to Mesa Verde National Park which was amazing!

The people were so loud above our room. Called the front desk to have it fixed. Noise and stomping continued all night.

Didn’t ask if I was an IHG rewards member. So I’m not being credited for the stay. I really dislike having to go out of my way at ihg hotels. It also stinks that ******* doesn’t have IHG rewards as an option in the profile, though it has a long list of other rewards programs.

Nice hotel and friendly staff. Room on the third floor across from the laundry was somewhat noisy. I had to keep my earplugs on all night. Surprisingly generous breakfast was definitely a big plus. I would stay again if traveling through Cortez.

The best breakfast ever! It had bacon, omlets, pancakes, biscuits and gravy, cereal, yogurt, juice, toast, bagels, and pastries. The only bad thing was the water came out of the faucet light tan instead of clear. I think it might be a colorado/New Mexico thing. I’m from out of state and our water is not the color of this hotel’s. It did not get us sick. Perhaps their water isn’t filtered?

The person at the front desk was really helpful with informations about the area. The hotel was clean and breakfast was appreciated.

Good breakfast but tiny and crowded eating area. The room was fine, although the bathroom smelled mildewy. No visible mildew. We had four registered guests and were charged an extra guest fee, but we were supplied with three towels every day, which was a little annoying to have to go ask for an additional one. Pool was ok, pool room was way way too hot. Hot tub water was brown-tinged with weird things floating in it, so we skipped it.

When we visit Cortez we always enjoy the convenience of the Holiday Inn Express. Clean property with great service.

After a very long day driving, it was awesome to be greeted by the lovely front desk lady with the sweet smile. She was very nice and welcoming and our room was clean, quiet and exactly what we needed to get some rest before we continued on the next morning.

We got to the hotel early and the clerk was very nice and allow us to check in, room was very clean and breakfast the next morning was well prepared and delicious.
