Great location if you wish to have a more quiet getaway on an otherwise busy Tenerife. Pool is excellent and a 2 min walk from 2 beaches.

Fantastic hotel with great service. Manuel & Felix provided excellent service at lunch time, advising us on local specialities. Very clean with excellent food. Rooms are spacious and very clean. Room service is excellent. Plenty of sun beds and pools.

Had an enjoyable two weeks at Gran Tacande. The catering, entertainment and bar staff are all very helpful and go out of their way to make your holiday enjoyable. The dinner menu is on a weekly cycle, so repetive if you are staying two weeks It is a lovely hotel but is looking a little tired. The main pool is in need of an upgrade. There are quite a few cracks in the pool and a number of holes in the concrete floor which could be dangerous if trodden on. We pre-booked a particular room when we stayed last year. On arrival we were told it was not available. This was not quite correct as we could see it was unoccupied for most of our stay. We had a side sea view. Well, you could see the sea if you hung out of the balcony, and only saw the sun late afternoon. Unlike other hotels loyalty is minimal. 5% discount until the tenth visit when it rises to 10%. Upgrades- Never been offered one. Will we stay again, we are not sure.

We have returned to this hotel due to previous great experiences and have not been disappointed. The rooms are spotless as well as all public areas. Food is excellent and plenty of choices every night. We chose to upgrade to half board and this is excellent value. We had a very minor issue with the room, which was not the fault of the of the hotel, but they dealt with it quickly and efficiently. Thank you. When choosing where to stay for a relaxed atmosphere, excellent food and facilities along with pleasant and helpful staff look no further than this hotel.

We had a lovely stay, and would return to stay again should we return to Tenerife. The resort location is great, very close to a lovely beach and in a quieter area of Costa Adeje that suited us perfectly, but still close to all the action. Rooms were spacious, very clean and serviced swiftly each day, the pool areas were lovely, we had a fabulous spa treatment and very much enjoyed the indoor spa areas. Breakfast buffet was varied and high quality.

Pros: I’m very familiar with Tenerife. This hotel is in a great location, walking distance to lively area and also quiet / beach in the opposite direction. Clean, spacious rooms though minimal bathroom privacy (seems common these days). Friendly staff. Nice pool, pool bar. Lovely buffet breakfast. I travelled with friends and the hotel was a great base to explore. Important to note that it’s a relaxing/quiet hotel and seems more geared to couples / adults - maybe not much to do for kids 3+. Cons: no issues.

The whole experience of staying at this wonderful hotel is almost impossible to adequately put into words. From the moment of arrival, the friendly, efficient and smiling welcome ensures that right from the start you are comfortable. All of the amazing staff go out of their way to make you feel relaxed, happy and so obviously love being there as it shows in the better than 5 star service. Reception staff, luggage guys, cleaning staff, dining room staff and pool and bar guys keep everything at the hotel in immaculate condition and it is almost as if your every thought or want is anticipated without being intrusive. Rooms, pool area and hotel facilities match the top notch service standards as does the food. An absolutely perfect experience and we will be back soon. Thanks to everyone, you are amazing. Four of us stayed at this lovely hotel. We done bed and breakfast but we ate there two nights as well. The interior of the reception is lovely and as to was the welcome.. The food is exceptionally good and the choices are great. It was my wife’s 60th birthday and the hotel gave us a lovely treat of a bottle of Cava in our room one day of the stay. The evening entertainment is quite good to with a variety of singers or soul Dj’s. It was quite busy on our stay and we always had no trouble with any service. My reason for a four and not a five is like I said it was busy and the sun loungers were virtually all gone by 10.30. Yes you would get one,maybe ? but they were few and far between. Why does the hotel not clamp down on these people who lay their towels out before breakfast and don’t show up until the afternoon. The only ones that were available were probably in the shade all day or beside a Childs pool.. The hotel is lovely and our stay was great. I would recommend this hotel and hopefully they get a grip on these sad people that have to lay out their towels.. Five star hotel, so sorry I had to give it four.

Stayed at this hotel in 2020 and couldn’t fault it, possibly was newly opened then! However, arrived this time 4/5/24 and have been very disappointed, hotel looks very run down. When we arrived it had only been opened for spring/summer for 4 days, there didn’t seem to be any preparation for their opening. We booked the gold level room including outside hot tub, on arrival to the room the hot tub cover/ balcony area was dusty and not clean, all glass and windows of the room were filthy, room smelt dusty like it’s door hadn’t been opened for a year. We soon realised there was no air-con on in the room and was told it only works when it hits above a certain temperature, it was not below 25 degrees once on our visit, this resulted in the doors/ windows having to be opened for our stay (I am 6 months pregnant and I couldn’t even count the amount of mosquito bites by the end of our trip) after asking 3 times we were given a fan that was very old and useless. The room only had one pillow each and the extra quilt in the wardrobe was dusty with no quilt cover on, such a shame that the hotel hasn’t been well looked after it has much much potential. However the evening bar staff were lovely big will not be returning.

Great experience from check-in to leaving. Nothing was too much effort for any of the staff. Special mention for Laura at breakfast who really looked after us. Reception was as friendly a place as I have ever experienced. Great location also.

The hotel staff are superb throughout the hotel from reception, the waiters at mealtimes and cleaners. There is so much space and plenty of loungers, choice of pools and good evening entertainment. The room are clean and water and coffee replenished daily. I was disappointed that due to having a swim up pool outside the room, the sitting area was in the shade, also there is no privacy as all the rooms face around the main commute area's. Therefore, if sat on the terrace it was noisy, people walking by and staring in constantly, no privacy and no peace. We were red level and had access to the upstairs facility which is unattractive. The pool is shallow and more like a plunge pool, there were children in the pool constantly. The service from the bar in this area was hit and miss. Orders for a snack took ages, constantly chasing up and reminding staff of what we had ordered.

What can I say? Have stay here on numerous occasions over the years and always enjoyed our stay. Rooms are good and comfortable with excellent views, and all facilities are what you would expect from a 5* hotel. Excellent location 100 yards from the beach and close to a number of excellent restaurants to suit most tastes and pockets. Staff are excellent and breakfast is an event! Returning again in Nov.

Very confusing booking system ! We had booked a room with a view two weeks before our arrival , uploading our passport photos etc via a third party booking system called Hotelverse . Previously Ruth (my wife) had tried to book directly through hotel Gran Tacande in February but was eventually directed onto Hotelverse. Upon arrival we were told that the room with a view we chose was no longer available and that we would be required to pay another 63 Euros to change it . Hotelverse had sent an email to me two days before arrival informing me that room was no longer available . Not sure why they e mailed me as my wife was dealing with the holiday via her email – I had never heard of Hotelverse . We complained upon arrival then were offered a choice of two other rooms without paying the 63 Euros that Hotelverse demanded . I asked to have a look but they insisted that I pay the balance of £2,563.74 before they would show me the rooms . I payed . The room we ended up with was good but the views were inferior to our original booking . We were then given a free option to the sauna and swirl pool on a one hour daily basis . It seems like the Hotelverse system is new and has not yet been integrated fully with the original Hotel Gran Tacande booking system ! Or .....you only 'select' a room thinking that you have booked a room after paying a deposit then Hotelverse makes the final call . I don't want to end on the negative as the holiday was, on the whole, a success . All staff were really friendly ( they did not look too tired ) , the pool was always kept clean as was the hotel . The food was exceptional for the price bracket . The restaurant by the pool is good value for lunches , and serves up a delicious mango salad . Lastly , a quick thanks to Angelica our cheerful waitress . Thanks also to the professional Yoga instructors : Nataly and Roscio - I was a complete novice. Ends

This was our first time at this hotel , but we have stayed at several others in this area . First impressions were good.A friendly reception at check in . The hotel is attractively set out. We stayed in a gold level swim up room . The room was comfortable and well equipped with a very comfortable bed and a large and powerful shower . Nespresso coffee was provided . The swim up pool is a nice feature but because of the layout of the hotel was west facing and therefore got no sun until late afternoon , making it and the terrace less usable. The facilities of the hotel are good with nice grounds , pools and plenty of loungers. We liked the gold level with its infinity pool and bar service , The restaurant was good with excellent breakfast providing plenty of choice. So too dinner (we were on half board) with good freshly grilled fish and meat as well as sushi and stir fried dishes . Entertainment was by and large of a good standard. Above all we found the staff universally friendly and helpful . We would seriously think about returning.

I didn’t want to take the chance of staying in a poor-quality establishment, so I assumed (incorrectly as it turned out) that a 5-Star hotel should ensure that my family and I had a holiday to remember. Little did I know that I’ll be remembering it for all the wrong reasons! Below, I have detailed just what went wrong from the start: - I think it's pertinent at this time to allow you to understand why this particular hotel was picked because in my industry we talk. A few years back an entire production and crew visited Tenerife on location for the last Jason Bourne film, I asked my colleagues for inspiration and I was recommended Gran Tacande, clearly standards have most definitely slipped. Saturday, February 17th 2024. ● Having checked in, we entered our room, took our shoes off in our private hallway, and started to unpack. However, I could feel something under my feet. When I looked my feet were becoming black from the layers of dirt and grime on the floor which had a really greasy coating! That’s when we started to look around and saw that the whole room was dirty and didn’t appear to have been cleaned in some time. ● To make matters worse, there were only two sets of towels, slippers, bathrobes, etc., laid out for us even though there were three of us in the room. ● We were getting frustrated and hot by now, which was when we discovered that the room air-conditioning wasn’t working! We went down to Reception to complain. ● We pointed out the above issues to Carlos at the Reception Desk along with details of white specs of dust under the glass for making tea and coffee (we can only hope it was a creamer for coffee). The white specs continued down the cupboard and there was chocolate smeared on the edge of the glass! ● However, rather than give us his attention and respect, he got distracted by the phone ringing whereby he raised his hand to my face and gave me a stop sign as he answered the phone! ● I couldn’t believe how rude and disrespectful he was to me. I was so shocked at being treated this way that I just stood there when I really should have demanded to see the Hotel Manager. He continued his conversation for some time in Spanish, leaving me standing there fuming. Finally he realised just how angry I was becoming so he put the phone down and promised that all of our issues would be sorted, without giving us any apology. This was not a good start! ● Taking Carlos at his word, we went for a walk. Unfortunately, when we returned to our room that evening the air conditioning still didn’t work. The room clearly hadn’t been cleaned as there were still dirty marks and black hairs in the room! ● Having been travelling all day we were too tired to go back downstairs, so we went to bed and decided to complain in the morning. Sunday morning, February 18th 2024 ● I decided to start the day fresh and take a shower. The shower had a rain shower head attachment along with a handheld shower that was so badly corroded into place that it couldn’t b
