Awesome experience! The overall daylighting of the hotel is very good, people will feel bright as soon as they enter the hotel! All the details are also in place, including toiletries, bedding, catering, and the environment are great! And we must praise Ctrip! The price of this hotel on Booking is much higher than Ctrip. We stayed for two nights, and the tax-included price on the booking went to more than 7,000. However, the price of Ctrip was more than 5,000 for two nights, and the Ctrip system also reminded that if you book one day and one day separately, the price can be more favorable. Finally, we booked two nights with more than 4,000 tax-included price.

Hotel was excellent at first was given a basement room with a view of the incan wall but I did not know it was artificial light. Requested to move rooms even though more expensive for a window on an upper floor but was given a free room change to the 4th floor with a small window but at least had natural light. But this request was only granted on my second try as the first agent who checked me in informed me the hotel was completely booked out even though all sites including their own showed additional rooms with windows. Service was excellent in the hotel and the buffet breakfast was delicious with the omelette station. In the reviews they mentioned there was an alpaca on the hotel grounds but the little animal was never seen except for the old ladies near the front entrance with baby alpacas asking all guests if they would like pictures for a fee.

There are many beautiful places to stay in Cusco, but this is truly luxurious and unique. Set in a historic building, the layout and organization of the hotel is spectacular. There are multiple courtyards to explore, wonderful public spaces to absorb the history and splendor, and an amazing staff with warm, Peruvian hospitality happy to serve you. There are beautiful scenes to take in at every turn, and the guest rooms are grand and inviting. We stayed here for two nights, so were able to spend leisure time enjoying the property. We also had dinner at the restaurant, which was outstanding.

It is about one kilometer away from the Weapons Square and important surrounding attractions. Opposite it is a larger market for local fabrics. They can also pick up or drop off the plane for free. Really worthy of recommendation, it’s late, the next day, I’m excited to go early, forget to take pictures.

This is a beautiful building in a great location. The doormen and reception staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was spacious and clean with most amenities. I was however quite shocked to find paper cups in the room to drink tea from. I’ve never come across that before! I had to put one inside another so’s it didn’t bend when I picked it up. The bed was large and comfortable although it was quite noisy from very early in the morning as breakfast starts at 4.30. Breakfast was adequate although we found it hard to get orange juice. Papaya was the juice on offer . The bar and restaurant were very good. A great hotel in a great location to explore Cusco.

We stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn in Cusco for 4 nights total - 3 before our Inca Trail trek with Alpaca Expeditions and 1 night after the trek. We arranged with HGI to store our large luggage while we were gone for the 5 day/4 night trek. Very simple process to do this and all our belongings were kept safe and sound and returned to us in good order. Overall the HGI was a good place to stay. It is is about a 15 minute walk from the Plaza de Armas, uphill all the way. We didn't mind so much since that helped get us ready for our trek. It's in a quiet area. The Plaza is quite busy and noisy, and was especially the night a political rally was being held. I was glad our hotel was not right on the plaza that night. Rooms were a nice size. Our first room was a king-size bed with a view of Cusco. The second room had a view of the courtyard. Both had hot showers, room safe, blow-dryer, and toiletries. One thing to note is that the hotel floors are reversed from the norm. You enter the lobby at street level and then go DOWN to floors 1,2,3, and 4. Ask for a room on Floor 2 or below. Floor 1 is right underneath the lobby and we were kept awake by the sounds of walking, chairs scraping, etc. until quite late at night after we returned for one night after the trek. The breakfast buffet was plentiful and offered quite a variety of choices. The main reason we give this HGI only 4 stars is for the laundry issue. After a week in Peru, we needed to do laundry when we arrived at HGI. Yes, there are laundry facilities in the hotel. However, you can't just put in a few soles, add your own soap, and wash a load. Noooo, they have it fixed so that you MUST purchase a packet of tokens, detergent, and softener from them for a whopping 52 soles!! That's outrageous and taking advantage of a ”captive audience.” Well, not these guests. We simply bagged up our laundry and dropped it off at one of the dozens of laundry shops on the street right around the corner. It cost us 36 soles AND we supported a local, family-run business. Win-win. And boo on HGI for boasting about laundry facilities they actually charge an arm and a leg to use.

Forever grateful. #YoMeQuedoEnCasa For future travelers: This hotel is affordable but doesn’t skimp on the amenities, the 360 Sky Bar is amazing and offers the best view of Cusco. It’s breathtaking! The staff is so wonderful. (Please treat them well!) They make you feel like family! Food is delicious and has a good mix of traditional Peruvian food with choices for everyone. The bar has excellent drinks. I suggest you try some traditional ones. The room is comfortable with hot water, and ample channel choices for all. The WiFi is the best that I had at any hotel in Peru. Overall. Excellent value for for money!

We stayed 5 nights at the Tierra Viva Cusco Centro and was pleased with our accommodations. I am not going to lie when you pull up to the front of the hotel, it is a busy street and not much to look at. Once you go in, it has a beautiful courtyard and you no longer hear the sounds of the street or city. Our room was spacious for 2 people and the bed and pillows were comfortable. The front staff were always helpful and accommodating with our requests and questions about Cusco and where to find certain things. They assisted us with several taxis, which made transportation easy. I would highly recommend this hotel.

We stayed at Hotel Taypikala for our weeklong stay in Cusco. The hotel was nice, the staff was very accommodating, they even prepared sack breakfasts for us to take when we had 4am pickups for our hiking trips! They have oxygen available in the lobby if needed and staff at the desk 24/7. All the staff speaks English which is so helpful. Hotel is within walking distance of the main plaza which is great. The breakfast in the mornings is delicious with a lot of selection and the dinner at the restaurant at night is great and convenient after long days of hiking! Highly recommend this hotel for your stay in Cusco.

The gentleman working the desk got us checked in quickly on the night we arrived. He answered all of our questions and was very pleasant. The following morning, we had a wonderful breakfast and the lady doing the cooking was very accommodating and helpful. The room was nice and clean, so no complaints. The property was very nice as well. The morning that we checked out, the same gentleman called us a taxi and made sure the driver didn't make us pay more than was necessary. What stands out about our stay is the overall value. The price was crazy fair for what we got. A friend and I booked the triple room which was on the top floor and had three beds, which was great to spread out our hiking gear on / repack etc. Breakfast was amazing, the tall gentleman who cooks was super friendly and sweet. Eggs cooked to order, fantastic coffee, fruit and juice! Front desk service was good but nothing over the top. We did purchase a bottle of wine from their selection and it was spoiled (we are both in the wine and liquor industry) but when we told the front desk staff they did nothing about it. That was a bit odd. If you've never visited Cusco, beware of the super loud firework boom sounds starting about 7 am and throughout the day. Its a call to mass or to celebrate and the first time we heard it we freaked out!!

We spent 3 nights in this hotel. As a hotel, I'd greatly recommend it. Rooms were comfortable. They had coca tea in the lobby to help with altitude. Breakfast was OUTSTANDING. A great choice of foods and drinks. Lobby was very pleasant waiting area. The front desk staff were very helpful and would recommend restaurants and call the taxi to take us there. Because the road in front of the hotel is totally torn up (this is temporary), you have to enter via the back door on another street. This is a major issue when taking a taxi back to hotel because they don't know where to go and we always had a difficult time with being dropped off far from the hotel and walking on a hill at that altitude. But like I said, this is only temporary!!! Wifi was good here too.

Excellent option when staying in Cusco historical center. The hotel is very comfortable, beds, bathroom, everything was perfect. Located on a quiet street, away from the noise but within walking distance of the main square, museums and restaurants. Breakfast is perfect. The kindness and attitude of all the staff is notable. Something very important to take in account: they have 24hs oxygen supply for guests in case you need it due to altitude sickness (you never know how your body react at altitude). you can ask for it even if you do not feel so bad and want to enjoy better your stay. I had to use it with my kid and wife.

Unbelievably kind service. The entire staff was so warm and helpful every step of the way. The hotel rooms are small but very clean and neat. The hotel is centrally located and made it easy to walk around the city. There is a fire pit and coffee station. It’s a simple hotel and is the perfect place to stay in Cusco. Loved their breakfast offerings. They even packed a breakfast to go when we had to leave early for a day tour.

Three stars given for the positives: Excellent location , walking distance to everything. Comfortable bed. Excellent hot water and water pressure . Economical price. This is a 2 star hotel however , so just be prepared for a few hassles. It is very loud for sleeping , bring ear plugs. All the rooms surround an open courtyard so every door opening sounds like a gun shot . The included breakfast is hardly enough to feed a small child. (If you want an actual breakfast you have to pay extra.) the building is very cold and dark all the time , the lights are literally never on. And the front door is always locked at all times of the day so you have to ring a loud bell (which of course can be heard by all the rooms ) . The staff was overall friendly and helpful, some much more so than others. I asked for a glass of water , looking at pitchers of water in the kitchen area, and after arguing with me about having to buy a bottle the older manager lady poured me a small glass. And then that night I asked the night guy for a glass of water before bed and his manager made a point to tell the staff not to give me a glass of water. I understand water costs money but this seemed over the top and the very opposite of hospitality. That combined with the attitude they gave me left a very bad taste in my mouth for this hotel. Maybe spend a few bucks more and get a better experience elsewhere

Stayed 3 nights with friends and greatly enjoyed our stay. The beds were comfy, the hotel looked super cool, they had free coca tea (10/10 recommend trying), and the breakfast was also available to-go if you had an early morning day trip. Shoutout to Gilbert from room service who was incredibly friendly, helpful, and cheerful during my first day in Cusco while I was suffering from altitude sickness and stuck in my room. Keep in mind that almost all hotels in Cusco only enable the heaters for a window of time: in our case, this was 7pm to 7am which was perfectly cozy for the night, and we never had any issue during the day since we were either outside or the weather was warm. The hotel has lots of hot water for showering which was a great relief after a long day outside (this not something that is guaranteed throughout Cusco hotels).

They stored my luggage while I was gone for a few days on a trek as well as before my flight and they also organized my airport transportation. This is a smaller hotel (labeled on the outside as ”Amaru Inca”) just a few blocks off Cusco's Plaza de Armas (central square)--about halfway up the hill. Free Coca tea and Muna tea (to help with elevation and help you sleep, respectively), and clean water, are always available. Rooms are smaller but clean and beautifully decorated--the woodwork and furniture, the architecture feel authentic. The included breakfast is generous with custom omelettes. Staff (including Rosmery and Maria in the breakfast area) are friendly and helpful. I needed a couple of late-night (11pm) blankets, which they were happy to provide.

If you want a central location with great access to the city of Cusco, Hotel Plaza de Aramas will fill that request. Located on the southwest corner of the Plaza de Armas, this hotel puts you directly in the active center of Cusco. The staff are more than polite and helpful. When we had early expedition departures, they provided a sack lunch and even stood by to ensure all was safe when we waited for our rides at 0300 in the morning. The rooms were quaint and clean. Our room was off the street and it was wonderful as we did not have to contend with any possible traffic or noise from the Plaza activities. There is a fabulous little restaurant on the second level, that is always full with either hotel patrons or guests from the community. They were more than gracious in allowing us to store our luggage for 4 days while we hiked the Inca Trail. The price is also right with breakfast included with most rooms. I highly recommend this hotel due to location and the great service they provide.

We arrived at Turiwasi without any real expectations of a hotel. After all, ”boutique” encompasses so many things... Upon entering we were transported into a beautiful place with original Inca architecture at the very back (huge monoliths). Liz greeted us and showed us to our rooms where we found them to be quite big and with all the necessary things one needs on a short stay. When we left for the daily tour I found a guidebook on my way out and Liz was kind enough to let me borrow it for the next few days (even the days when we did not stay with them). Breakfast was delicious (especially the coffee). And the staff were kind enough to offer me some of the coffee grains they use for me to take home with me. Sadly, we left earlier than expected and I did not get to take the coffee with me, but the staff did everything possible to get it there on time. The location is incredible. You are 10 steps away from the Plaza de Armas.

Hotel was excellent at first was given a basement room with a view of the incan wall but I did not know it was artificial light. Requested to move rooms even though more expensive for a window on an upper floor but was given a free room change to the 4th floor with a small window but at least had natural light. But this request was only granted on my second try as the first agent who checked me in informed me the hotel was completely booked out even though all sites including their own showed additional rooms with windows. Service was excellent in the hotel and the buffet breakfast was delicious with the omelette station. In the reviews they mentioned there was an alpaca on the hotel grounds but the little animal was never seen except for the old ladies near the front entrance with baby alpacas asking all guests if they would like pictures for a fee.

The hotel was nice, the staff was very accommodating, they even prepared sack breakfasts for us to take when we had 4am pickups for our hiking trips! They have oxygen available in the lobby if needed and staff at the desk 24/7. All the staff speaks English which is so helpful. Hotel is within walking distance of the main plaza which is great. The breakfast in the mornings is delicious with a lot of selection and the dinner at the restaurant at night is great and convenient after long days of hiking!
