It’s a nice place if you relish staying in a preserved courtyard, giving it a really nice old charm. Room is lovely and the owner is very helpful to provide information and assistance. They have a lovely GS as well and a new kitty.

Very nice and comfortable hotel, old original style. All worked pretty well and staff was friendly. Nice breakfast too.

We had a lovely stay at this hotel, which is as beautiful as it looks in the photos. It can be a little tricky to find at first, because it is down a quiet side street off a main pedestrian walkway in the ancient town. We were dropped off at the nearest road by our taxi, and it took us about 10 minutes or so to find. But I think if you contact the hotel beforehand, they will help you. After the busy hustle & bustle of this tourist streets surrounding it, the quiet calm of this courtyard hotel is amazing. Our room was large, with a very comfortable 4-poster bed & pillows (mosquito nets around the bed, most welcome), a spacious bathroom, and a small seating area. Sure, the décor is a little old now – some bald patches in the carpet, the automatic curtains a little temperamental – but the fact that you are staying in such a beautiful, historic building makes up for it. There are no glass windows, just wooden shutters that open onto the central courtyard. And the AC is a free-standing unit in the room, rather than an integrated system. So if you are looking for a sleek, modern boutique hotel with all mod cons, this is probably not the place for you. But if you want the experience of staying in a comfortable, authentic building in the heart of the ancient city, then I highly recommend this hotel. Our breakfast was lovely, and when we told the staff we were vegan, they made us rice noodles, vegetables, fruit and toast. So accommodating and friendly. We had one small issue towards the end of our stay, when we returned to our room and found that the TV had been replaced with a broken one (large crack in the screen). I reported it immediately, but didn’t really get a clear answer as to why it had been swapped out and it was never replaced. Other than this, our stay was lovely – friendly, comfortable and very atmospheric. I would recommend this hotel.
