All are good, the front desk staff is very friendly, but the room window is dead. It is estimated that in order to change the air, the bathroom ventilation fan has no switch, and it keeps ringing.

Hi Ryan, We were in room 702 for 6 nights. We encountered many problems mostly with room maintenance, street noise and housekeeping. We requested daily room cleaning and it was very poor or non existent until last night when we actually had a decent room cleaning and closer to what was expected. There was something spilt all over the door entrance into the bedroom the entire stay and never cleaned. One day housekeeping came but didn’t leave coffee or towels. On 2 mornings during the 6 nights the alarm went off at 6:00 am. This was not the first night or 2 nights in a row. My guess is an unhappy housekeeper deliberately did it. I reported several room problems a couple times but they were never addressed. The entrance door rubbed and made a lot of noise. We also had to pull it to make sure it locked when we left. The door to the refrigerator is falling off and rubbing, the Airconditioner blows to much in the living area and not much in the bedroom making it hard to sleep in one room while the other person is watching tv in the living area as it’s to hot. The shower door hits at the top and feels like it could break. The drapery pull rod came off the 2nd night and never fixed. The room is also very dark and needs updating. Customers should be told of the highway noise, it makes it very difficult to sleep.

We have stayed here many times over the last couple of years while visiting our son at SMU. The location can't be beat....and they price gouge because of this, especially for weekends when special events or football games are going on. The website does a very poor job distinguishing between the different types of suites, so you really never know what you are actually going to get when you check in. They could do a much better job at cleaning. It's never been horrible, but the bathrooms do not feel clean and the showers often have an odd sour smell. Also, we have not had good experiences with the quality of the food at the onsite restaurant. I would never choose to stay here if it was not so convenient for our SMU visits.

Honestly I can say that Kendrick is the best person for this job. He is understanding and goes above and beyond to do his job and always makes sure that we were well taken care of, while we are here waiting to get into our new apartment. And also the gentleman that works mornings there from 8 to 3. They always made sure our stay was enjoyable. I would recommend staying here bc those two go beyond to make sure their guests are always happy. I would give those two 100 stars if I could. **Lisa**

We booked this last minute through Expedia.com after our flight was delayed getting in to Dallas. The booking went very easy. We arrived about 10pm on a Friday night. The first thing we saw when entering was the blatant show of an armored security guard at the desk was a bit disconcerting. It portrayed fear for the safety of the guests instead of insuring it as he was quite imposing and intruded into personal space. Otherwise, check-in was very quick and the clerk directed us to our room. Upon looking around the property seemed to be in need of some TLC, but it was not in a poor state. We were tired, so we went on to our room. The room itself was on the 4th floor, right off the elevator. It was spartan, but appeared clean. There was a seating area with a tiny kitchenette-style area and a small LCD TV. The TV ”Guide” channel also did not display any data, so we had to resort to channel surfing. The batteries in the remote were very low, so it was difficult to change channels. Upon entering the bedroom, we encountered a king-sized bed which barely fit in the space. There was only one outlet next to the bed which worked, and one of the reading lights was non-functional. We inspected the linens and found them clean and the pillows did not immediately crush. Upon looking at the window, we had a great view of the side of an event center. And the lock on the window which was supposed to keep it secure had been broken off (part of it was laying in the window sill). Moving to the bathroom, we found a nice sized bathroom with a huge Jacuzzi tub. My girlfriend set about to fill it and take a bath. It took quite a long time to do so as the water pressure was not good. Also, the temperature of the water was either ice-cold or scalding hot. There seemed no way to get it to be even a bit ”warm”. The sink was cracked, but did not seem to leak. The exhaust fan ran, but did nothing to clear steam from the room. We slept well in spite of the sirens along the streets and then went down to try the breakfast. It was very typical of this chain and included the typical cereals, powdered eggs, bacon, turkey sausage, and pre-made biscuits with canned gravy. Nothing special, but about what I would expect. Checkout was easy, as we had paid via Expedia. Some things I learned the day after, though, were a bit alarming. So, some advice to the hotel: When checking in, it would be nice for the front-desk clerk to inform the guest that they will be automatically enrolled in the IGH rewards program. It would also be nice if they informed the guest that there will be an additional charge to their credit card ”as a deposit” before the charge occurs. While this was supposed to have been reversed at checkout, it has not yet been reversed at my bank. These two things indicate poor business practices. Overall, it was about average for what I have come to expect from a Holiday Inn Express anywhere in the country. So, 3 stars.

I’m a guest in this horrible hotel n have my friend in another room who I referred her to this hotel n who is with a kid. I feel bad for their suffer. In addition to many issues with the brand n service at this place which I mentioned to their management, we are struggling with power outage, no water at all, no heated water when we had it earlier, no WiFi. The front disk are not helpful or friendly n usually don’t pick up the phones, or their phones are not working. They close at night n there is no way u can get help. I received a text from the service provider to report any power outage more than an hour, which is not the case here. We’ve been getting the warmth in our cars n charging our phones to survive. Looking for bottled water from the grocery stores to use it for washing in the hotel room. I see other guests suffer too unable to unlock the doors n feeling cold when no one is there to help. I approached the front disk many times but they have no emergency plans or answers.. it’s not a place that u can get your basic needs in a trip for the money you pay.. or a place that you can shelter at n find warmth or water..
