Check-in is available at 3pm. The room and bathroom are large, but the windows are smaller than the room. The windows of other rooms in the building opposite have no view. The windows are locked and cannot be opened. I contacted the front desk and said that all the windows in the hotel cannot be opened, but because there are ventilation facilities, There was no feeling of depression during my stay. The bed was comfortable and clean. WiFi is slow. The location is close to the city center and a 30-minute walk to the train station. The service attitude of the hotel was poor. I paid in advance to stay for 3 nights. Due to an emergency at home, I only stayed for two nights. After many negotiations with the hotel, the hotel would not refund the remaining 1 night's prepaid room fee.

The hotel facilities are very new. It feels good to stay in it. It is quiet and not noisy. The breakfast in the hotel is very rich. The attitude of the service staff makes me feel very comfortable. I will stay here again next time

If you needed just a bed for the night without any frills then ok, but had to hunt for a car park, toilet seat broken, extractor fan not working in bathroom, decoration felt old/tired, carpet was dirty and worn, staff didn't want to be there!

Evacuated 4 times in 2 nights. Claimed under Good Night Guarantee but no reply so far. Premier Inn used to be so much better at this.

Lovely hotel, just don't eat there ! Fish wet inside, dry chips hard peas, microwaved tiny sticky toffee puddings, not worth the price we paid, didn't risk the breakfast following morning! Left most of it

On arriving in Derby I started to look for this hotel according to my sat/nav I was close after walking around the bus station & ****** twice I eventually found the entrance not clearly marked & some 500 yards from any where you could park your car to unload my wife is disabled so I went in and asked how I was meant to get her & the luggage there & was told if I broke the law & parked in the taxi's only bay I would be ok for 10 mins there. To which I said no I asked for a credit note not a refund & was met with a No I cannot do that from the manager. I wouldn't mind so much but later this year I have over a £1000 worth of bookings booked with them not good

Having stayed in a few Premier Inn locations for both business and leisure I was pleasantly surprised with Derby City Centre Riverlights. Staff service was friendly and impeccable, cleanliness of the room was pristine as was the layout of the room we were very impressed with the bathroom facilities of the room. Would definitely stay again and would recommend to friends and family. We did not stay enough to use the restaurant but would not hesitate to do so next time.

The Hotel is well situated for the Bys Station and City Centre. The Staff were friendly, yet professional and very helpful. The Buffet Breakfast was very nice indeed. The Room was very clean and tidy, with the usual ammenities. The view of the River was great. My only criticism of the Room is the Shower, as the water pressure and temperature were both a little poor, but acceptable. The Car Park at the Derbion Basement was quite close but nearest pedestrian entrances appeared to be closed due to redevelopment work, which meant a walk in to the Shopping Centre. Overall, I would happily use the Hotel again.

We have been coming here for some years now. Its not too far from us (we live near Matlock) but it means we can go for a night out to the cinema without having to worry about buses turning up or being cancelled later on. The staff seemed to change a while ago, maybe a year ago or more? The ones who had been there for a long time seem to vanish (although when I asked about them, the staff member claimed that nobody had left but as a regular user - sometimes at least once a month, you do notice.) And they were replaced by a new younger team who are all very friendly. But the last few times we have been, we've waited at reception expecially in the evenings for people to come. And it doesn't give a good look when they come back in from their fag breaks outside the main entrance where they have been chatting with friends. There was barely any milk. And he assured me it would be refilled. But when we came back later it still hadn't been, in fact it was empty still the next morning. So I don't know if they had run out or it just hadn't been done. The same staff member was on when we left as had checked us in and she remembered where we said we were going. she was lovely and chatty too. It was clean. But its looking tired. However the bed was soft and the air con was working nicely. Although it did warm up through the night. The price staying here this time was more reasonable than Nottingham which was where we were travelling from. For future users who may find the same thing. You can get the red arrow service from the bus station which gets you to Notts in 30 minutes.

The price has gone up, the quality has gone WAY Down! The menu in the Thyme Restaurant is about the least inspiring thing I have ever seen. The plates are bare and of such low quality. Sort it out. If this trajectory keeps going the way it is going Premier Inn will die. The meal deals are a business convenience but don’t serve this rubbish, it demeans us all.

Easy to check in, clean room with all the facilities. Comfy bed and quiet. I would recommend double-checking the last half mile of your journey off the inner ring road as quiet busy roads with a bus station and taxi ranks. There is no parking near the hotel. I would that you use the NCP Siddalls Road Car Park opposite the hotel to park - cheapest rate around, and then walk to the hotel to register.

As usual the room was ok. The restaurant was anything but ok, I ordered soup as a starter, when it arrived, it was cold and still frozen. Then the burger, it was dry and over cooked. As this restaurant id apparently undertaking a trial with a new menu, it is failing, massively reduced items, the price is same but the portions are much smaller.
