Good location and the private parking (paid) was a bonus. Dinan is a very pretty town with lots of history.

This charming boutique hotel being Centrally located in the historic part of Dinan with private parking is a rare find. The staff were very accommodating & helpful nothing was too much trouble. Sadly we were only here one night on route from Spain to UK. Highly recommend this hotel and we shall definately return for longer. Dinan is stunning. Thank you to the owners/staff for making our stay in Dinan so memorable.

We stayed 22 years ago when we bought our apartment. But due to an accident my wife had she was unable to use the stairs there. We had no second thoughts but to book the HOTEL ARVOR. The service the rooms are fantastic. Car parking available also a bonus. The management brilliant nothing to much effort. You also have the benefit of good selection of restaurants in walking distance. Be advised by management. Plus good advice for golf people and courses in the area Thank you for the help here M&C

We almost stayed at another property outside of the walls in Dinan. But we were very happy we opted for Hotel Arvor as it is right in the heart of this beautiful medieval city. We were able to walk to all of Dinan's sites - the chateau, shopping, restaurants, and the port (don't miss going down to the port!!). Staff here had booked us dinner reservations well before our arrival, and was a great help with getting us parked in the lot right next to the hotel (you get your own personalized parking space!). The little square right outside of the hotel buzzes with activity during the day, but empties out and becomes nice and quiet for sleeping. Very happy with this choice!!

This hotel is right in the middle of the oldest part of Dinan. Lots of shops and restaurants just steps away. About a block from the weekly market. Room was quite spacious for one person. Pleasant and comfortable. Staff were pleasant and friendly (and willing to put up with my attempts to speak French). Elevator a plus. Breakfast included Breton specialties: little pieces of Far Breton, and premade crepes that you could put jam or honey into. I bought some cheese at the market and cider at a shop and the staff brought it out for me to eat in the breakfast room. Another day I ordered a cheese platter and glass of wine. They also offered main courses at a very reasonable cost but I didn't try them.

We spent two nights here. Lovely traditional hotel in the heart of town with free parking adjacent. Our corner first floor room looked over the square and clock tower and, though simple, had all we needed. Continental breakfast was ideal. Would recommend

I stayed at the Hotel apartment "The Boudoir" for one night, with my family. The apartment was in a narrow old street just 50 metres away from the hotel, on the first floor of an old refurbished house near the Old Clock Tower. Excellent location. The apartment didn't have obviously an elevator, but this is quite common in a medieval town as Dinan. It was well equipped and quite comfortable. The staff of the hotel was very kind and professional, they are ready to satisfy any need of the guests tempestively, even before your stay. Very good experience

When planning our visit to Dinan, I had been considering another local hotel. After arriving there, my family and I were so thankful that Hotel Arvor was our ultimate choice. Its location right in the center of town is absolutely perfect. They offer parking too (although tight and for a nominal fee), which is a real bonus. Inside the hotel there's a charming dining area where we enjoyed a nice breakfast, as well as a lovely cheese platter they prepared for us (we ordered) one afternoon. Spotless rooms, attentive management/staff, and superb location make this a hotel I can highly recommend.

We stayed here April 2023 for two nights and had a very nice stay. Here are our observations/experiences that also factor items such as: what we knew prior to booking (type and cost of lodging), historical variables, total value for the money and comparisons with similar experiences – we greatly appreciate travelers who have provided reviews for our vacation planning and hope this info helps you too 😊: THE GOOD STUFF: • Hotel staff accommodating, friendly and helpful. • Elevator available • Parking next to hotel, very convenient, paid for as part of stay • In historical section of town, wonderful location • We had a corner room (called one queen, upper) that had three huge windows that opened, glad we had these as it was a bit warm while we were there • Excellent water pressure • Good breakfast – food was spread out in different rooms. Choices included: fresh fruit salad, dried fruits (prunes, apricots), jams (tiny jars), fresh eggs (cook your own in hot water bath), meats and cheeses (individual servings on saucers covered in clear plastic wrap), coffee, tea (many choices), juices (orange, apple); pastries were brought to table (croissants, baguettes, sweet) • Toiletries provided: soap, shampoo, tissues • Daily housekeeping AWARENESS STUFF: • WiFi minimal; have to log back in each time returned to room • Toiletries not provided: Lotion, conditioner • Bed very hard • Small bathroom • Sink drained very slowly • Since hotel is in historic section, if you are driving, you have to go past a ‘Do Not Enter’ sign on the road to access parking. • Reserve and pay for parking in advance when you make your reservation NEEDS ACTION: • Check sink drainage • Provide guidance on how to access parking prior to guest arrival

In the middle of Dinan, so unbeatable for location. Car parking is very tight and needs to be booked in advance - good manoeuvring is needed! the room was a decent size. Breakfast was odd but nice. There is a lift.

The hotel is located in an historic building right in the center of Dinan, which is itself a beautiful medieval town and excellent base for exploring this part of Brittany. Despite being in a very old town with narrow streets, accessing the hotel's car park from the main road was surprisingly easy. Parking is a bit tight, as others have noted, but we really didn't have any problems with it. This is rated as a 3 star hotel, and therefore there are some sacrifices that should be expected, such as no air conditioning, lights in hallways that automatically turn off, outdated bathrooms and furnishings, etc. But while it's not a luxury hotel, if you are willing to make some concessions, you can't beat the location and cost, and the building itself is quite charming. We were in a Family Suite, which had a large living area with a bathroom, a loft area with two single beds, and a 2nd floor with a King/Queen bed and its own bathroom. A lot of space. The locks to the bathroom doors needed to be fixed, and I actually got locked in the bathroom once. Fortunately, my wife was able to open the door from the outside using a pocket knife that we brought with us. While it was a bit dated overall, the room was nice enough for our purposes. We were there in June, and it was a bit warm without air conditioning, so we left a couple of the windows open at night, which was fine except there was some street noise from people walking by at night (not really from cars though, as there is very little road traffic). Also, there is some type of bird (maybe pigeons or owls) that live in the nearby buildings and start hooting like crazy when the sun comes up in the morning. So, while it was kind of charming, it served as a natural alarm clock when the windows were open. It is a short walk to numerous restaurants, cafes, bakeries, etc., so we did not eat breakfast at the hotel. Service was very friendly. Overall, we were happy.

The location on Dinan is superb, with close proximity to many excellent restaurants and shops. We had the corner room and enjoyed wonderful views of the village. The furnishings are adequate, all though a bit worn. The Bathroom is ok, if you don’t mind stepping into a tub for your shower. Skip the breakfast as there are better options elsewhere. Note that your GPS will probably not properly direct you, as there are many one way and closed streets during the day. There is free parking at the hotel, but it is Very tight. The Service is generally very good, but can be very strict……

very friendly staff and pleasent stay in old centre of Dinan. They created parking opportunity for me with even my name. I only had problems to boil the fresh egg right in the device. I hope to come back soon.
