Reviews of Travelodge Edinburgh Park

There is no free internet available, you need to purchase it for 3 pounds a day for two devices. It is a 12-minute walk from the train station and a ten-minute train ride to the center of Edinburgh. There is no hairdryer in the room. You can borrow it from the front desk or store your luggage. The hotel staff is friendly.

Clean and comfortable. Cooked breakfast available but vairable in standard over the 2 mornings. (Slow service, long waits for fresh hot food to come out) but overall handy to have it available. This hotel is NOT in edinburgh park but very much in South Gyle, 20-25 min walk to south gyle tram, 20 min walk through an industrial estate for Edinburgh Park tram station. (We had a 3 yr old with us) and walking down the side of a dual carriage way wasnt really an option for us. Ann who checked us in was lovely, she was very much multitasking the reception and a busy bar. The lady on checkout was very nice too sorry didnt get her name (long dark black hair!) Overall the hotel was clean, friendly and well presented with staff always available. Our impression of a hotel advertising as "Edinburgh Park" would be that the hotel was in that area and as it wasnt it caused us to change our plans during the evening times which was disappointing.

They were absolutely brilliant from start to finish and genuinely went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. Both were incredibly friendly, helpful and attentive, and nothing ever felt like too much trouble. It’s rare to come across service that feels so genuine, but they were warm, professional and clearly take real pride in looking after guests. They’re both a real credit to the hotel and exactly the kind of people you want representing your business. Thanks again, Anne and Lauren — impeccable service and massively appreciated!

We had a wonderful stay! The room was spacious, spotless, and very comfortable. ​What made our trip exceptionally smooth was the location and convenience. South Gyle station is just an 8-minute walk away, providing a direct, fast train right into Edinburgh Waverley and all the main city center attractions. ​The biggest highlight for us was the ample parking. The staff were incredibly accommodating and kindly allowed us to leave our car in the car park for a few hours after checkout so we could explore the city center hassle-free. Highly recommended, and we would definitely stay here again!

I am so pleased with the cleanliness of the toilet. When we checked in two years ago, I was quite frustrated because it was a bit untidy and the air conditioning was not working properly . That’s why I was reluctant to book again, but I’m glad I didn’t hesitate to come back. Kudos for the big change!

Got a friendly welcome on my arrival in the early hours of the morning. My room was extremely clean and comfortable. Was happy with the price and the location.

I liked the room, commodities and the breakfast. Price was a little bit steep, but understandable due to end of season, supported by good level of tidiness. It's far from the centre, but Uber costed only about £15, which is really not bad for Edinburgh. It has a nice pub/restaurant next door. It's an alright location, if you are coming for an occasion and would like to rest away from the noise. We mostly met Joy at reception and she was very helpful.

Quiet area yet working reachable to city. Clean rooms, friendly staff. And yummmmy food! Ann was very pleasant and kudos to the chef!!

The receptionist Joy was amazing to us. Explained every detail to us with smiles all over her face. She deserves a raise 🌚

I booked a super family room and it was spacious enough for three people. Staff was really helpful and supportive. I enjoyed my stay!

I had a really wonderful stay at Travelodge Edinburgh Park, and a big part of that was because of the amazing hospitality from Mathi. Mathi was extremely kind, helpful, and welcoming throughout our stay. He genuinely went above and beyond to make sure our experience was comfortable and enjoyable. He also guided us on how to explore Edinburgh, shared useful instructions and recommendations, and made sure we had everything we needed during our stay. It’s people like Mathi who can truly make a hotel experience special. His friendly attitude and willingness to help made our trip super amazing and memorable. The hotel itself was also a great place to stay, and having someone like Mathi at Travelodge Edinburgh Park made the experience even better. Ella hizo que nuestra estancia fuese muy familiar más que en un hotel gracias a ella estamos en casa. We stayed for three nights. The location is near the city, though you need a car to get there. The facilities are well-adapted; they have you fill out a questionnaire regarding your needs and safety measures, which is appreciated. They don't clean the room, however—that is something that could be improved. The staff were all great, but I’d like to give a special mention to Ann. She made our stay feel very warm and personal—more like being at home than in a hotel.
