Thank you to Alan and all the staff at Bishops Table Hotel. You have all been extremely helpful in the run up to our stay and during our stay. Your hotel/lodge was very clean/welcoming and comfortable. Great range of breakfast to choose from. We wouldn’t hesitate to come and stay another time. Many thanks xxx

Excellent comfortable stay, very good price for the area. Lovely big room and comfortable bed. Plenty of tea, coffee etc plus complimentary water and biscuits. Our second stay this year and we'll be back thank you. Excellent location to explore the local area.

Stayed 1 night in room at back. From 3pm on, other guests partied in courtyard right next to rooms with takeaway food & alcohol. Skeleton hotel staff. Only on call after 5pm. Restaurant closed. Simple buffet breakfast. Would not stay again.

Lovely spot and great staff! We stayed for one night only as it was our short get away weekend. The receptionist lady was lovely and super helpful, bed were comfortable and bathrooms clean and tidy. The restaurant is still closed unfortunately however with the wide range of restaurants that Farnham has to offer it does not make a difference. The hotel is very close to the Lion and Lamb Yard, about 10 minutes away from the castle and right in front of university so if you’re looking for a place to stay at while visiting someone at university- this is a lovely spot. We will definitely come back!

Great service, comfy beds and lovely breakfast. Staff are so friendly, couldn’t fault them. I can’t have dairy and breakfast was adjusted for me, plus it was brought to our room. Great location for a wedding at northbrook park. Would stay again.

Been using the Bishops Table Hotel for years and always look forward to a relaxing stay. The Manager, Warren and staff ensure your stay is comfortable, relaxing and stress free. Cannot state enough how over the years the staff have added to making stays a pleasure. I understand the Hotel is closing at the end of December to be turned into apartments - what a loss to Farnham! Sending a big thank you to past and current staff for making many stays memorable. Bon voyage!

lovely period room, excellent modern bathroom with a large walk in power shower. Free parking at the rear. Great touch that the 2 rooms I booked has a flask of cold fresh milk for tea and coffee. Really nice friendly staff. Great value for money too.

An overnight stay in a hotel in central Farnham. A very clean hotel with friendly staff. Not a large amount of facilities, no bar working, only a continental breakfast. But plenty around for food and drink. Hotel very clean, not a lot of parking.

A nice well built, cosy hotel in a really good location. Small carpark but well built and maintained. The room was sizeable and was comfortable (although no bin in the room was odd). The night sleep was nice but be aware the hotel lacks any sort of air conditioning and most windows open out onto the main street below, doing little to avoid noise. The breakfast is a very basic continental offering, with no other food being served. The odd thing during my stay were the housekeeping staff. We had agreed a late checkout (12) but at 9:30am I had a knock on my door to see if "I was still there", which was odd as hotels have software to monitor room check-in and check-out. The fact the key had not been returned yet must have been a giveaway too. Not half an hour after this there was another knock. But with waiting no time, the staff tried to open the door right away and walk in, trying repeatedly (luckily I had locked the door, as I was getting changed). Upon me saying hello through the door someone said sorry in a rushed way and left. Not another half an hour after this I was in the bathroom and someone UNLOCKED THE DOOR and opened it and left as soon as they saw bags and suitcases still in the room. I should add, all of this happened with the do not disturb sign on the door! After this the front desk rang the room and hung up upon me answering the phone. To be honest this is poor and one of the most basic things you do not do when running a hotel. If the sign is on the door, you do not disturb. I could understand if we had stayed late, or they had forgotten about the late checkout. But all of this happened even before their standard checkout time of 11am.

Four older adults and five young adults stayed to attend a family wedding. We really liked the hotel and found it much better than the reviews suggest. The location is brilliant - very close to cafes, shops and restaurants. The staff were helpful and friendly. You could park on site. The continental breakfast was fresh and well supplied. The staff kindly laid up a table in advance for our party. The tea and coffee in the rooms was good quality, with fresh milk daily. We liked the outside courtyard, which had plenty of seating. We thought the hotel was good value for the location. One thing to note is that the rooms weren’t all the same size, with one of them (in the coach house) rather small, with a very small shower room and nowhere to put toiletries and suitcases. So ask for a room in the main hotel if you want something more spacious.

34 of us stayed for one night in this hotel, the night before our daughters wedding in Farnham Castle. The manager Warren was extremely helpful and made our stay that much more welcoming, without him the stay may have been totally different. We all booked over a year ago when our daughters wedding was initially booked for May 2021, but then Covid struck and everything was postponed. When initially booking we had a cooked breakfast included in our special rate but when we all arrived a year later we were informed that the restaurant was closed due to Covid and that we would have a continental breakfast brought to our rooms. Of course we were not happy about this but as we were a large party and already booked we had no choice. Warren the manager changes this for us and opened the restaurant so that we could all go downstairs to have breakfast, even though it was still continental. He also opened the bar for our party and tended bar himself. The rooms were all quirky, large rooms, had everything we needed and were clean and comfortable. Even providing and iron & ironing board in the wardrobe. Shower was a bit hit and miss, but it’s an old property. Location is great, in the centre of Farnham and there is parking, (through a quite tight arch into the courtyard behind the hotel) although it can get a bit tight. It helped that our party all knew each other so we could block each other in and then create a bit more space. Again Warren was on hand to help manoeuvre and guide the cars into the correct places. We had a transit van and managed OK with a bit of breathing in. All in all a good night, would have given 5 stars if a cooked breakfast was available, the continental was a poor selection.

Great location and free parking was a bonus especially being on the high street. Staff were friendly and the bathroom was modern. Unfortunately some of the lights and plug sockets didn't work and the bedroom was a bit tired and could do with a bit of renovation.

This property should not even be called a hotel. The on-line portrayal says there is a bar and restaurant, but not so. They are only dark unused rooms. As near as we could tell in the eight days we stayed there, this is the only bar or restaurant that is shuttered, apparently due to covid terror. Our room was crowded with not even a place to set our suitcases other than the floor. Room maintenance consisted of us putting any trash or used linens outside the door. From noon to sometime in the late afternoon and then for all the overnight hours no management or staff is on the premises, so don't have a crisis during about half of the day. The absence of a person during daytime hours was especially vexing to us because we ordered and paid for two covid test kits to satisfy the 48 hour before departure requirements of the airlines. These kits were brought to the hotel front door but no one was there to receive them. We had to resort to traveling to the next town to visit a test center to meet our travel requirements, This cost us an extra $ 375 in addition to the undelivered $240 tests. For all of this lack of service we were charged and paid the full room rate. WE WOULD NOT VISIT THIS HOTEL AGAIN EVEN IF IT WERE FREE.
