Because the hotel is an old-fashioned building, there is no elevator and no sound insulation. At night, people can hear people going up and down the stairs.

I’d stay here again even if I had no particular business in Folkestone. The hotel is very homey and with the renovation it is extra comfy. The staff were very professional and kind. Breakfast was of very good quality, with great variety and always at the right temperature, organized and clean.
My only problem was with the wifi in the room. It is a deal-breaker for me because of work but they said they are looking to fix it so I hope they do for future better stays.

Wish we had stayed longer. Its a beautiful hotel. Plush rooms and bathroom. We were passing through and had only booked it only for a night stay but left wishing we had longer to spend in the room.

The hotel is undergoing complete renovation on some floors, lifts not working, plastic covering stairs, noise and disruption was clearly evident and the hotel should not be open, from a health and safety perspective and for the enjoyment of the stay, really disappointing that this information was not made available when booking, it’s actually quite shocking that a large group like best western operate like tthis.
