A group of us went to the black forest for a yoga retreat - the hotel was wonderful, cozy, clean and very modern. The food was very good - every meal in a beautiful cozy setting with fireplace. If anything it was almost too much food - we ordered 7 courses both nights - 3 courses would be enough for me anyway :-) The spa area was pretty and the spa services (massage, facials and foot reflexology) were excellent - ask for Ana Maria! It is set in the black forest so there was a nice hike of 1 hour to get to the beautiful village of Freudenstadt with nice stores and cafes to enjoy.

We stayed at the Hotel Grüner Wald for 3 nights over carnival with 3 couples. We booked the same as a year before because we were very satisfied. This time we had even better rooms in the area above the restaurant. The hotel has a nice big indoor pool and 3 saunas. The relaxation room is a bit small but an extension is being made for it. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the atmosphere in the hotel is very pleasant. What disappointed us this time was the food, which we loved so much the last time we visited. The salad buffet didn't have the variety anymore and it was the same at lunchtime and in the evening. The menu offer was good for fish eaters but not so for vegetarians where it was very bad one evening and also for meat eaters the Gordon bleu with fries on the third evening was the best. This continues with the choice of appetizers and dessert. All in all, the promise "enjoy culinary delights" was not kept. When I checked out, I didn't have the feeling that my complaint was really taken care of.

A really nice wellness hotel. We have already got to know the very good hotels in the immediate vicinity - the Hotel Grüner Wald can easily keep up! Dinner and breakfast are excellent, our room was modern and super clean, the staff are super friendly and courteous, the entire ambience is modern with a traditional touch. Totally recommended!

Zum 19. mal war ich nun im Hotel Grüner Wald bei Familie Hoyer und Team. Die Entwicklung seit 1999 habe ich miterlebt und war auch diesesmal wieder begeistert. Der Familiäre Charakter, das ausgezeichnete Essen, die Sauberkeit der Zimmer und vom Aqua Viva sind hervorzuheben. Ein nettes, motiviertes Team gibts sich Mühe den Gästen alle Wünsche zu erfüllen. Die Küche und die Verwöhnpension sind einfach nur zu empfehlen. Die 5 Sterne sind mehr als verdient.

Nous avons opté pour l'offre "happy days". Nous avons passé un très agréable weekend, sans quitter l'hôtel en voiture: excellente sympathie de l'ensemble du personnel, chambre de catégorie A spacieuse et très confortable avec grand balcon appréciable avec ces fortes chaleurs, petits déjeuners avec buffet richement garni, diners avec 6 plats dont certains étaient à choisir exquis et bien présentés, beaucoup de possibilités au niveau du SPA, un jardin bien au vert où nous avons pu nous relaxer à l'ombre. Ce qui est à noter c'est le calme qui a régné pendant tout le séjour. De plus cet hôtel typique de la forêt noire bénéficie d'un environnement bien vert avec ses prés et ses forêts, où les possibilités de promenades, footing et marches sont immenses.

Établissement que nous recommandons chaudement ! Une belle adresse au vert, pour se reposer et se faire chouchouter! Nous avons été séduits! Nous étions en pension 3/4. Tout le personnel est aux petits soins du matin au soir, et la cuisine est délicieuse ! Les chambres sont spacieuses,la literie correcte et la vue très jolie ! L’espace piscine, SPA et le jardin sont agréables et bien équipés. Propreté et hospitalité sont au rendez-vous. La prochaine étape pour ce bel établissement pourrait être l’installation d’une piscine extérieure et pourquoi pas un jacuzzi! Nous gardons un excellent souvenir de notre séjour au Grüner Wald. Merci à toute l’équipe !

Die neuen Zimmer der Kategorie B sind sehr schön gestaltet. Hier haben wir uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Wellnessbereich hat uns für die wenige Nutzung genügt. Hotel liegt schön ruhig. Das Essen war sehr gut. Sehr freundliches Personal. Frühstück und Mittagssnack konnte auch draußen genossen werden. Insgesamt waren wir sehr zufrieden und kommen bestimmt wieder.
