Quick check in, lovely clean room with great views, five minute drive to Yellowstone. Will definitely stay there again.

Very nice ,room was cute with a yellowstone theme.we had everything in our room that we needed.we loved how quiet it was.

I'm so glad we stayed here! Few people in the area in January at Yellowstone but a lovely time to be here! So glad we werent; staying right in the town of Gardiner though only a ten minute drive. The view here is so lovely; the log cabins warm and cozy; everything you need and want. I could hibernate there all winter…

My daughter and I are traveling to the Pacific Northwest and wanted to stop in Yellowstone. Last minute booking and could not have been more pleased with the Inn. It’s a wonderful place to stay!!

We absolutely love this little getaway spot. Janette is super friendly, punctual and accommodating. The rooms are clean and the beds are amazingly comfortable. It's perfectly quiet and quaint. Elk in the front yard and beautiful views of the river and bacon slice.

I’ve never slept so well in a hotel as I did at Yellowstone Basin Inn. I wanted to take the mattress home with me. The breakfast was good with many options. I had blueberry pancakes and a BLT hard boiled egg. Delish!! Bonus was, we got to see elk across the road.

Owners were so pleasant and helpful. Overall it was a terrific property. Would definetly stay there again

The property is in a unique position with a view of the mountains directly in front. The property is a long way outside the town of Gardiner and there is nowhere to eat nearby. Food in Gardiner is limited unless you are fond of burgers and fries. There is apparently a mobile food truck that delivers to the facility but we did not use it. The room was clean and comfortable.

Second time here. Rooms are very comfortable and clean. Owners very attentive and assist in making for a great stay. Rural location with great views. Highly recommend!

Unfortunately we did not make it to this Inn due to a bad car wreck on the way to Yellowstone. Our cancellation was 2 d before arriving so we were not able to avoid cancellation fees which are the total amount for the stay to be paid. I contacted the Inn and told the owner we would not be coming, she told me if she was able to reserve our dates with a new customer, we would avoid paying for those dates. I feel like this is above and beyond what was expected. Luckily she was able to re book 3 out of the 4 dates. We are so happy to only have to pay for one night. We totaled our vehicle so our trip was ruined. This made the situation a lot better and will recommend this Inn to anyone needing accommodations in Yellowstone. Thank you for your consideration in our situation and making our day better! The ratings are not based on actual stay but I was unable to reveiw this property without doing them.

I was interested in this hotel because of the recent renovation and included breakfast. When checking in, I notified the front desk attendant that we had vegetarians and they indicated that there would be vegetarian options for breakfast, including egg, onion and cheese casserole. When my family arrived for breakfast there were only 4 small pieces left. We waited patiently for the next batch to arrive, but it had sausage in it. When I asked the staff person about vegetarian options, she indicated "I made 45 pieces for 33 guests" and left it as that. She said well, there is cereal and sweets. No interest in making sure my family was fed appropriately. I was really surprised by this lack of care or customer service.

The property sits in a beautiful location. Reception was pleasant and maps were given. However, the room needs updating. I don’t know if the comforter is washed between guest stays because it’s a quilt and dark. I imagine it’s not cleaned often. The shower felt like I would fall through the floor or break as it’s plastic and extremely slippery! And there was some sort of rolling air conditioning unit on the floor in the room that was extremely noisy and did not cool the room. We had to open windows on opposite walls to get some cross ventilation to cool the room - and if course by 2 AM we had to close them because it got down into the high 30’s. So not a great night’s sleep. And at over $300 a night I expected this to be more of a resort experience. It is not. Also, take the key with you every time you leave because you get locked out of your room. These look like regular door knobs in a house so that can throw you that they lock automatically. They should let guests know this. Also the parking is lacking if it’s full, which is was, so after coming back from dinner we lost our spot and went around to the back for overflow parking. I found this very unsafe in the no lights lot as there could literally be bears or other wildlife wandering about and it was very trashy in the back. This discouraged us eating the free breakfast in the morning. The nicest thing about the room were the towels, new and fluffy, and the drive back into Yellowstone is extremely close. We won’t be back.
