Pyramisa Suites Hotel Cairo

Thank you to Eslam and Essam for the warm welcome and the excellent hospitality at Pyramisa Suite Hotel Cairo!

The hotel is a value for money option in Cairo. They serve a plethora for the buffet breakfast and it was delicios. Dinner buffet spread choices were lesser in comparison to breakfast. The room is clean and spacious, however, being at the top most floor (Level 8), the water pressure was not too good. All the staff were very warm and welcoming. Safety is good with security checks done upon entry. There are also 2 gift shops, a pharmacy, Starbucks and even a massage centre within the hotel premises. As it was winter, I did not have the chance to try out their pool. Overall, it was a pleasant stay and would definitely be patronising them again.

We arrived at 9:45pm on 31st December, went to reception desk to check in. It took us about 5-10 minutes, but the room we were provided wasn’t same to what we have booked. On description was clearly saying “the view to the city and river” with balcony. When we entered the room all the windows were locked with no any sort of views from it. After we went back and complained, reception stuff could only say “sorry, we have no other available rooms for exchange”. Only one alternative option is to pay extra $65 dollars for a better room. And that was New Year Eve and 2 hours before midnight. We had no other options as to get that upgrade and pay this money. Very disappointing experience from 5* star hotel. Recommend to be ver careful before you book any room at this hotel.

We had an issue at the arrival, the room we have booked wasn’t available, for the first night we accepted an alternative solution, a room very noise and blind windows, the second day the attitude of the front desk operator was really bad, and only after escalated to the manager we solved the problem. The hotel is in nice location, but it’s a bit old, the breakfast buffet is very nice and various. The room are clean.

The first night was horrible. Not only the shower water was not adjustable and it was boiling, but also there was party music with drum beating until 5am in the morning. After I filed a complaint, they switched me to a room in the old building. Everything was fine. However, with the price I paid, this was really not acceptable. I will not choose this hotel ever again.
