Ravenswood House

What a lovely place to stay! The location is stunning, as was the beautiful view from our four-poster bedroom window. The hosts Lisa and Sandy, were so welcoming and nothing was too much trouble to them to ensure that we were happy, and had everything we needed to make our stay as enjoyable as possible. Their knowledge of the area, and places to visit is admirable. The room was very tastefully furnished to a high standard, and sparkling clean (thanks to their friendly house-keeper Margaret). We had the best nights' sleeps on the comfortable mattress and pillows. Some lovely touches in the room included complimentary sweet goodies, and spring water with the ability to replenish tea/coffees etc. whenever required. The continental style breakfast offered a good selection of; cold meats, cheeses, boiled eggs and fresh, tasty artisan bread. In addition, they provided yoghurts (kept cool on a cool plate), cereals, fresh fruit and hot /cold rinks/juices. All in all, our stay was perfect and we could not fault a single thing if I tried! We will definitely stay there again should we re-visit Fort William in the future.

We had a lovely time at Ravenswood. Lisa and Sandy were fantastic hosts. They gave great recommendations for dining out and did everything to make our stay enjoyable. The room was beautiful. Excellent water pressure in the shower. Breakfast was delicious. Lisa makes amazing granola. Would definitely stay there again.

Had a lovely two night stay. The room was spacious and comfortable with a beautiful view. The bed was so comfortable, we slept great. Everything was very thoughtfully appointed and well designed. Breakfast was great, and the home-made granola was fantastic. We really appreciated all of the information that was provided ahead and planned trips to Neptune's Staircase and the shipwreck. We also took advantage of the restaurant recommendations. This was a great location for the steam train, we took photos from the viaduct in the morning and road the train in the afternoon. This was a very convenient and lovely stay.

The room was spacious and well appointed with good coffee/tea maker, fridge and the view was marvelous. Breakfast was fresh with many options. The B&B is comfortable and homey and the hosts Lisa and Sandy were most attentive and accommodated my lactose intolerance as well.

It's a home away from home! You can tell a lot of time and thought has gone into making Ravenswood a perfect place to stay. The beds are comfy, the toiletries are local, every thing good quality. The owners are friendly and really helpful.

Lisa was a great host. She greeted us warmly and the facilities were fabulous. We loved the honesty bar with a good choice of local drinks and the breakfast was really good. The rooms were well appointed and bed very comfortable. Would definitely return.

Stayed for a couple of nights. Large room with views across the Loch. Just over five minutes from the town centre and only a couple from Neptune's Staircase, the collection of canal locks, Breakfast was continental ham cheese bread yoghurt cereals. Will use it again when next in the area.

Had a wonderful stay. Great location with stunning views. A gorgeous room, very comfy and cosy. Our hosts were very welcoming and friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Lots of dining and tourist suggestions. Yummy breakfast too. Highly recommend

Recently stayed here at Ravenswood, and what a gem of a place it is!! Nestled just outside the town of Fort William in the Highlands. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here -- the room was lovely. But is was all the extras that made our stay even better. Absolutely loved all the personal touches in each room and the showcasing of local stores decor - pillows, blankets, soaps and lotions. Loved these touches so much that have checked out their websites and ordered some of them to ship home! Our room was spacious but it was nice to be able to go to the breakfast/common room. Our stay included breakfast and Lisa's homemade granola - delicious!! The B&B is conveniently located to many places you can do day trips to - Isle of Skye, Fort Augustus, Loch Ness. The Jacobite Express/Harry Potter Steam Train goes by the B&B four times a day! Will be making a return visit! We stayed in a variety of B&Bs and Inns during our 17 day trip and Ravenswood was, hands down, our favourite :)
