Glenwood Hot Springs Resort

Firstly this is NOT a resort. It is a pretty basic hotel and the lodge is very dated and the rooms are very average and dark and in need of some updating. The young man at reception during the evening was extremely friendly and went out of his way to be accommodating. Most rooms have a small patio with lovely mountain views and the beds and pillows were comfortable. There was a shabby chair in the room which was frayed around edges and didn't look overly clean. There is a fridge and coffee maker which is nice. The hot springs are about a five minute walk down the road from the lodge. It is a shame that the lodge could not have an entrance just in front of the hotel as there is an exit gate there and it would be easy to access people through there with some type of card system. Admission is included in room price and a full breakfast at the pool grill each day. The breakfast was a fully cooked breakfast and there were also continental breakfast options. The springs are great and the new addition of various different tubs is lovely. The kids slides and chutes are also lovely. Puts it in competition with Iron Mountain Hot springs and much better for the kids. I was concerned by the lack of life guards at the springs but it was early season, mid week and I hope that it picks up during the summer season. Overall when you factor the price of entrance to the hot springs for two days the room costs are not excessive but the pictures and website are somewhat deceptive as its not a lodge! Its a basic hotel close to some wonderful hot springs.

I was very disappointed with the value. We paid $400 before tax for a $200 room. The room was small, dowdy, on the "Garden level", and the mattress was old and rutted. The staff were very nice, and the breakfast was good, but overall, we did not get what we paid for. I could have stayed at a 5 star resort in Colorado Springs for the same price (I checked).

Pros: Friendly front desk staff. Nice lobby. Comfy bed, quiet room. They appear knowledgeable and helpful. Cons: Very dated rooms, old beat up furniture for a place that calls itself a resort. But then it was $375/nt. Towels- cheap and thin. Old as well. Hot Springs was a large pool- nothing like the pictures. Water in one side was green and you could see the paint peeling off the bottom shallow pool. Ick! Free breakfast was subpar compared to other hotels with free breakfasts. Lack of food options. Good to Know: They are under construction- building a second pool for kids out in front so entrance to the hot springs is a 10 min walk. Exit is quicker.

Stayed one night on a cross country road trip. Nice rooms, and great location. Lodging includes a nice hot breakfast and entry to the amazing hot springs. Overall a great stop and solid value. Recommend for anyone, especially couples or families, desiring a unique stay in the heart of the Rockies.

Glenwood Springs is a very friendly and efficient resort! The employees go out of their way to help you! It is very clean and the facility has everything you need. The pools are up to date with more features and pools being added. I highly recommend Glenwood Springs! We are definitely coming back!

The bed was comfortable, food good, friendly staff, relaxing hotsprings pool. Evening time steam and lights so pretty. Cool nights warm days hot water's

The beds really are the best, but, our balcony shared a light that also light the hallway with a window to the hallway right in the middle of our balcony. Not only did we not have privacy, but the light never shut off, blackout curtains were not tight. BUT still a great place to stay and just won't stay in a room like that again.

Loved it!!!! Best views, pools, beds and food. Would highly recommend doing it!! Especially as a family vacation for a weekend.

I use cash for most transactions and most time don't need to count my cash back. Yet, today I give them $100 for a $43 & the cashier hands me my change yet does not count it back. So I count it and it is wrong, as she gave me $37. So, then she hands me $5 & $10 & is still short $5. So I tell her and she makes me go get in line again. I have come here for almost 45 years and very disappointed. Count your cash
