We hired out the swimming pool today for the first time for an hour and the pool was amazing it’s been well maintained the cleanliness of the whole pool area and changing area was great. Great service easy to book highly recommend the best place we’ve hired out. We will definitely be back to book again. Absolutely loved it the kids had a great time.

Private hired the pool with a friend for the first time this evening. Hadn’t really done much research into the pool other than it looked like what we were after for an evening swim. I am particularly fussy about swimming pools, I have a real issue with things being clean. This, for me, was disgusting. The pool is surrounded by carpet which was soaking wet, you have to take your shoes off before going in but clearly this rule isn’t followed by everyone as there was mud on the carpet. Socks got soaked and feet then got filthy. I didn’t dare go in the toilet bare foot as the floor looked disgusting. It had a very ‘cheesy’ smell and the water didn’t look particularly clean. We got in and swam anyway, the water was fairly warm so that was a plus. There was blood in the side of the pool I noticed about half way through our swim. Getting out and changed is a mission as there’s nothing to put clothes on apart from the wet floor without being in view of the cctv camera. I couldn’t wait to get home and shower as I smelt like cheese, no other way to describe it. Won’t be going back, there are better private hire pools in the area.

Booked this venue after cancelling swim lessons to teach our little ones privately as an ongoing weekly event. First visit it was unbearably cold and even worse in the changing / toilet facility . Tried again the following week and the adults decided not to swim as couldn’t bear the cold . Now looking for another venue , shame as it’s so close to home and would have been looking to book this weekly ongoing .

Rooms smelt damp. Pool water green, carpet around pool smelt damp. Shower goes from boiling to freezing without touching anything - unable to use! Breakfast basic, and room freezing. Can hear people in the room next door. Avoid

This is without a doubt the worst place we have ever stayed. We arrived between 6 and 7pm with an 18 month child. Problems started as soon as we arrived. We were emailed and told about the contactless check in and how to enter our room. Well, after locating our room in the dark we found it was locked with no way of entering. We called the owner who told us that it was definitely unlocked and it was contactless check in. Once he had investigated himself he found it was in fact locked however he then went into the room to check that it had been cleaned!? We then entered a freezing cold room which had NO working heating other than an electric fire. I asked to swap rooms but the owner just came back with a second electric heater … not ideal with a toddler. We booked the family suite so our little one could sleep in a separate room to us however we couldn’t keep the heaters on all night due to risk of fire so we heated one room and all went in together. Well our little one got so cold we had to bring her into our bed and go out the next day to buy her warmer pyjamas. NO EFFORT WAS MADE TO FIX OR IMPROVE THE HEATING DURING OUR STAY. If you were thinking of booking the family suite don’t bother. There are no pictures of it online only other rooms which are potentially nicer. It is basically an old converted garage. Online a bath and mini golf were advertised … that doesn’t exist. After our first night my husband took our little one to the pool for a swim. Again it was locked up and he had to call the owner for access who was in bed asleep and miffed that he’d been called. My husband then had to uncover the pool himself and recover when he was finished. The owner came down during their swim to check on them and asked if we were warm enough. My husband said no and the response ‘is it bearable though?’ We did not pay £100 a night for is it bearable! It gets worse. There was a blood stain on the wall in our room and mould on the wall. The shower was a trickle that was either too hot or too cold … again not ideal with a toddler. In the breakfast room we were aware of how basic the breakfast would be however we were forced to dine in another freezing cold room and the place mats were covered in mould. This was our first mini break as a family to create some memories with our little one and it was completely ruined by this shoddy, inadequate accommodation. We reached out to the owners for some compensation for false advertisement and to give them the opportunity to apologise for our terrible experience but they have refused and continue to take advantage of good people while swanning it up in their house and using our money to redecorate their own home. Again don’t be fooled by pictures you see online. That is of their house which certainly is not a hall and not the freezing cold, mouldy accommodation they have fooled people to book.

Good things; quiet, comfy bed, bottled water, shower gel & hand wash. Bad things; car park full, uneven path to room, lack of cleanliness (e.g. hair in both plug holes, used contact lenses from previous occupant had been left on bedside table & carpet not clean), breakfast area not clean with lack of food choices, hot tub broken (we did not know this until the day before we arrived when I asked about it). lack of swimming pool availability, only 1 toilet roll, poor TV signal.

I arrived at 10.30pm last after driving down after work for funeral today. Bloke came out in to the car park to tell me I was room 4 and pointed me in right direction. Went in and the room was freezing and no word of a lie was overrun with mosquitoes - armed with a can of deodorant and and a pillow I killed at least 30 before I could finally settle for the night at 11.30. The room is very basic, cold tiled floor, no colour at all and mould on the ceiling above the shower. Now none of this is normally anything I would complain about but as I was going round to meet my dad for breakfast he was talking to the bloke and had obviously said about the amount of mosquitoes. The guy simply threw his arms in the air and said I can't do a thing about mosquitoes and walked away. This level of dismissive rudeness has really bugged me!!!!! Especially because actually there is something you can do, don't have windows wide open unless there are nets in place! Clear the mosquitoes BEFORE your guests arrive. Provide a bloody fly spray! Also while I'm on the breakfast that is provided is literally toast, a choice of three crap cereals and a bowl with 2 oranges and 2 apples in. Very disappointed and absolutely would not stay again. Some pictures of what was left of the mosquito carcases. If I'd known the guys attitude would have been so crap I'd have photographed all of them!!
