Hotel Morales Historical & Colonial Downtown Core Reviews

This hotel is not what you see described. When we booked it showed as 4 stars but now shows as 3 stars. The place is dirty, staff is not very friendly, breakfast absolutely to avoid. We were given a room in the cloister without windows.and the loos had a very bad smell.....we were changed room to then have a very dirty room, broken furniture and NO HOT WATER.......the hotel and Trip did not seem to care at all and we were made to pay one night penalty to cancel the reservation.

Some of the rooms in this hotel do not have windows. My boyfrined said the pool was dirty so I did not use it. The room was. Breakfast was okay and cheap. The highlight of this hotel is the location and its historic charm!! The security at the hotel was very good and the staff was very professional! Hotel does have a certain charm!

Stayed there for a night and they were very accommodating. Staff was helpful many times. Very quiet and peaceful and also historically beautiful.

A heritage property built in the late 1800s and fully refurbished in the early 2000s. The room was comfortable with dual pane windows that made it very quiet. There was no street noise at all. The air conditioning worked very well. The WiFi was stable and fast. The bed was ok. More storage in the bathroom would be welcome. The breakfast buffet was adequate, and did not seem like a decent value. However, dinner in the same restaurant was excellent. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay here again.

The front desk staff was very helpful, along with the concierge service all excellent. I felt appreciated and valued..I loved my stay. Would definitely stay again

Súper location, distance to cathedral really close, the hotel is close to great shopping, pharmacies, near a park and the area is alive with you g people and tourists.

Absolutely loved the transportation provided by the hotel. We used them to take 7 of us to and from the airport, to the Tequila Tour train station, and to and from Cantaritos el Güero. We felt safe and felt as though transportation was a great price. We also enjoyed how close this hotel was to other places. We walked a lot in the day time to different food locations and shopping areas and the farthest we had to walk was maybe 15 minutes. Great location.

Great place to stay very clean and the staff very professional and friendly I highly recommend this to anyone

we were greeted as soon as we entered the hotel, the lady at the front desk told us were getting upgrades on our rooms since we were VIPs, that was very nice, she informed us about all the things this VIP entitle and they were fantastic, we didn't use any of them since we were just spending one night, and had to leave at 2 am since we had to catch a very early flight. The hotel is at a great location, very close to the Cathedral and many dining options.

Located in Centro this property has it all, excellent service, good food and a breakfast buffet; location to shopping. Staff were friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean and well maintained

We stayed at this hotel because we wanted a historic building to experience the Historical Centro Guadalajara atmosphere. We could have stayed in a modern building on Plaza Armas for the same money but you can stay in a modern hotel anywhere. We wanted the feel of the historic area and this hotel offered that. It offered it in a very well maintained historic building with updated a/c, cable tv, bathrooms and security to make sure you always felt safe. We faced the sqaure and had a great view from our Juliette balcony of churches, the spires of the Cathedral, and the old city all around us. I say definitely stay here to experience historic centro Guadalajara! Restaurants, shoping, historical buildings, easy transportation options were all around the hotel!

The property itself is amazing. It’s such a good looking hotel. I love the look and feel of it. The restaurant has the best club sandwich and fries I’ve ever tasted. We did have a huge issue though. We turned on our ac unit at night and I was awaken by water sound. It was dark as I had my infant son sleeping in a roll away crib. So I turned on the bathroom light and put ac unit was gushing out water!! Like legit pouring out water! I quickly turned it off and threw towels Down. I didn’t want to deal with switching rooms late at night so we just slept the rest of the night without it on which ****** bc it was hot. Total inconvenience in that aspect. I have video of it dripping water as it continued for about an hr.

Wonderful hotel with unbeatable location. Only complaint is the pillows, they are too hard. And breakfast buffet is average.
