The staff at the front desk were very polite and helpful. The check-in desk is located at Level 5. There were no signage to indicate that. The check-in and check-out process were completed smoothly. I must say that the overall service quality and the cleanliness of the room was outstanding… as I was travelling with my wife & daughter, the front desk staff ( named Yan) was very thoughtful and attentive. I requested for a rope for my daughter and Ms Yan also brought me baby slippers & toothbrush which was a pleasant surprise… I would surely book this place again for my upcoming trip to Guangzhou later this year

Guangzhou Gymnasium/Baiyun Mountain
First of all, the hotel has strict special management, but check-in is convenient and fast. The room is clean and tidy. Breakfast has both Chinese and Western options. There are not many varieties, but it has the basics. There are many rest areas and places to chat. There is the Grand Admiralty Reservoir outside. The air is good and it is very quiet at night. , especially the excellent service, the housekeeper Sien followed up the whole process, and received her gently, patiently and warmly. I will definitely see her next time I come.

Guangzhou Gymnasium/Baiyun Mountain
The location is relatively remote in Guangzhou, close to Baiyun Mountain. But it's close to the meeting place, so I personally think the location is good. But it's not very close to the subway station, so it's easy to take a taxi in and out. The hotel is generally satisfactory in all aspects. The breakfast varieties are quite diverse, including Chinese and Western options. The only thing is that there are no fried eggs. Buildings 1 and 5 of the hotel are accommodation rooms, and buildings 2/3/4 are exhibition halls and conference halls. There are standard rooms in Building 1 and superior rooms in Building 5.

Element Guangzhou Baiyun

The Element is well appointed, a picturesque hotel & convention center complex. The staff are helpfully & friendly. I had many meals at Marriott within the complex and the food is excellent & the chef as well as the kitchen team deserve much praise for their service. I would have liked to see at Element a washer & dryer facility for a long stay hotel brand just like they show on the website, but alas this Element did not offer such facility. For a new hotel many maintenance issues from doors broken, water leaking, mold, broken windows, just to name a few things that need to be addressed immediately. As the staff seem very concerned the management seems to be preoccupied with their own business and not the business of hotel operations and owner property protection. The attitude of management is “I am busy” therefore these small details are not of concern. But in fact it’s a complete reflection on poor management from the top. I hope management can make changes and improve the quality and efficiency of doing repairs maybe even have the proactive approach to maintaining the integrity of the property. I understand the property is new and the construction team is still working on their list of things that need replacing or repaired. They need to have a MOD on call 24/7 and available to come to address issues as they arise. Management needs to be a leader and coach to the staff. The staff are eager and looking to leadership for a good team environment. I hope management is willing to change their mindset and focus on the details because the details matter. Overhall I look forward to staying at the hotel and look forward to seeing the improvements unfold day by day.
