I like going to island view but it's getting REAL OLD hearing the same damn names being called EVERY SINGLE WEEK!!! I've been going there over a decade now and NOT ONCE HAS MY NAME BEEN CALLED!!! Also the machines are tight as can be. I put over $200 in one machine and couldn't get a free game r bonus game no matter how much I bet!!! I understand ****** are made for u to lose but come on now. I go there UNFORTUNATELY almost EVERY DAMN DAY, with $200 and it's all gone within 10 min that's just crazy to me!!!

Where to start .. I have been going here for years and I guess it just shows they stopped carrying.. I remember a time when the food was good the rooms stayed cleaned and your shocks didn’t turn black for the floor .. I use to recommend this place to so many for the food the staff , the rooms and the fun .. the need to reinvest into the rooms and the food …also house keeping class 101 … this place use to be so amazing to have went down I hope they save it before it messes up for everyone… oh yea they only way I will eat the food is if its free I use to didn’t mind paying for it but not free is to expensive for what the offer … I am not posting this to be hateful or tell people not to go. … I pray and hope the fix it because it’s was great food clean and just amazing now it’s Sad …

We were assigned to the beach side of the Beach ****** on the 17th Floor. We walked into the room and noticed that there was water on the floor. Trying to figure out what was going on I flushed the toilet and water came running out of the bottom where the wax seal would be. I went to wash my hands and Sink filled up with water and would not drain out. We had to call the Maintenance Department to fix both of these issues. The next thing wrong was at night when we went to put the reading lights on and both sides of the beds were burned out. We then tried to turn the TV on and there was nothing but Pixels, no picture. Called in the morning and found out that Island View has TV's that you have to call Maintenance to Re-Set every time you shut the TV off. When we questioned the maintenance man he said it was the Island View Way. So if you want to TV late at night forget it, If you want to watch TV in the morning first you would have to call the maintenance man. Then we were in what you call an adjoining room with the door leading to the room next to ours. We had some people in that room who played their television so loud you hear it blasting in our room, dragging furniture accross the floor, talking so loud you would think you were in their room. The rooms have NO SOUND PROOFING and you can hear every word, door slam etc. that happens anywhere on the floor. The Beds were like rocks and the pillows totally ****** as they were small like for children. The Buffet as usual was terrible with Cold Food for breakfast everywhere. No sense picking out items to write about, it was all bad. The Dockside Deli was almost the same just a little bit better. The Beach Hotel and I am sure the Original Hotel are BADLY in need of Remodeling totally to bring them up to what you would expect from a ****** Hotel. If you want problems then stay at the Island View and if you do not stay at the Scarlet Pearl which was a great experience all around.

Clean and modern property. Rooms are nice and fresh. As for the ****** experience, you're better off just skipping the gaming floor. Slots (as other reviews have stated) are beyond tight. Nobody expects to win in the long run obviously, but these slots don't extend your gameplay whatsoever.

Bad customer service. After traveling 2 hrs on Nov 7-9 we went to check in Beach Tower and was told reservation was cancelled due to pipe problems. We were very understanding though disappointed. At that time it was said to us if you come back next week there will be unlimited buffets during your stay. I considered it good public relations and drove back home. Returned Nov 14-16 and at check in we were told about the buffets and good thru stay. No problem…..until our 3rd friend checked in later and was told it was only good one day only. I explained how earlier myself and another friend checked in and it was explained how to use it and would be on card. A man manager came out and basically told her Pick a day its not both. When I tried to explain last week what was told to us plus earlier checkin did it He than said Well, they did it wrong and thats just how it is. PICK A DAY After making us feel we were the problem I left very agitated. He even found my name in computer and removed comp for second day. Ironically, other friend who he never got name kept her comps for entire stay. This manager was determined to punish us for their own miscommunications. This happened on ****** side and not Beach tower. I truly believe one should honor what they say. Guess make sure its put in writing.

Normally, we like staying at this hotel. I think I have changed my mind about this! We had an unbelievably bad experience this past stay which warrants this review. We had a three night reservation for this hotel (11/5 - 11/8). Our first night at the hotel was nice (as expected), except for the fact that we reserved a king room and were told this room type was no longer available so we were put into a double queen room. Okay -- no problem. The bed was comfortable, the AC worked well, and we had fun in the ******. In the middle of our second day at the hotel, the power went out for the entire Beach tower. Note that the power in our room went out, however, the halls were still well-lit and the elevators still worked. We were told that they were moving us to an off-property hotel for the evening and that they were not sure what was going to happen regarding our third night. Okay again -- we moved into this off-property hotel which was nice and welcoming, and very comfortable. The next morning I called the front desk to get an update on the plan for our third night and I was told that the call center would call us with a plan later that morning (note that we had to check out of this off-property hotel by 11AM). After not hearing from anyone, I called back a couple of hours later and was told to check-out of the off-property hotel as they were only committing to cover that one night, and that they weren't sure if we had a room back at Island View for the third night. Now, not Okay! They called me after we had checked out of the hotel to tell me that they were not going to cover us for a third night at any other property, that we were on our own to find a place to stay and to pay for it out of our pocket, and that they had checked us out of the Island View! WHAT?!? What type of customer service is this?!? We were lucky to find another reasonably priced hotel to stay at for our third night and will never give our money or our time to the Island View Hotel ever AGAIN! I get it that problems happen like this, however, if they were concerned about losing customers, they would have treated us differently than they did! I'd give them zero stars if it was an option!

Booked for 3 days the first night ac went out the next morning they moved us to another room at 10:40 am. We was in the room 20 mins power went out there was staff in the hall I told the woman we had no power she told us we’ll call down stairs tell them. I told her I did not have a phone on me she told be to use the room phone that’s great ideal if the phone didn’t need power. Long story short 8pm they move us to a different hotel that was a dump. Next morning called us told us they was canceling our reservation the woman on the phone was no help told me the manager was in a meeting. I told the woman if I can’t talk to her on the phone I’ll come up there and talk. 17 min call before the woman finally said she get her to call me manger called 3 mins later she was rude said I treated her employee say she listened to the recording and I said I get in my car and come down there and it scared her employee. I explained to her if she heard a recording she know I said from the get go I had no ride. Also how did she listen to a 17 mins call in 4 mins ? I would not suggest this resort to anyone they said the hotel we was staying at didn’t have rooms but the hotel we was staying at said they had plenty of rooms

The bed was ok! The walls are paper thin. Heard people talking until after 1a.m. THEN THE CLEANING STAFF STARTED HOLLERING IN THE HALLWAY B4 7 AM. We were there for our anniversary. The food at Carter Green was ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS! The BEST STEAK I HAVE EVER HAD! Overall it was ok other than the food WHICH WAS FANTASTIC! We don’t gamble but just walking through the ****** you could hardly breathe because of the thick cigarette smoke.

Just returned home after another amazing experience at the Island View. From all the valet guys, the expedited check in service, the food and our favorite waitress, Martha, at Dockside Deli, the complimentary rooms and suites and of course the slots….absolutely the best ****** on the Mississippi Coast or in the Southeast!!! If you are looking for a place that is generous with their comps and where you can even go home with a little change in your pocket the Island View should be your “go to” ****** if you can’t make it to Vegas. Until next time…..😎
