The second stop of the Qinghai trip, I chose this homestay after reading the reviews. It can be said to be amazing. The boss is an enthusiastic and talkative handsome guy. When we arrived late, the boss had to help us carry the luggage. We were very embarrassed to do it. The first surprise we received was that the boss upgraded our room and bedding for free. The Chaka Evening Hotel is new and all facilities are in very good conditions. The hotel is located in a new commerce area in Chaka which has the clear ambition to develop more business. However, there is not much around this area and most fields are empty or under construction. Chaka Lake is a beautiful spot but the city is not so attractive. So also the hotel is not having any good spots around it. We also took the dinner in the hotel. The breakfast is okay but typical Chinese but they didn’t provided hot water for tea or a coffee. The staff is friendly and they provided extra heater and humidifiers for the cold nights. Overall, the hotel is a good choice if you stay in Chaka to recharge your batteries but it’s also good to move on after the stay.
