Reviews of La Dolce Vita Hotel

We booked a Premium king suit with city view primarily because the photo of the balcony looked lovely. The relaity was no balcony furniture on a grubby little balcony overlooking rusty tin roofs. Bathroom. there were other people’s skid marks in toilet when we arrived. Hot water? Only enough to soak your feet despite asking them to fix it. Premium suite apparently comes with a jetted tub - the only jets were if you flushed the toilet that sits right beside the bath.  WiFi. Patchy at best. TV kept pausing then dropping out. Paint blisters all over the walls.  Breakfast. I gave up and ate outside on third day. Frankfurters and baked beans just don’t do it for me. The highlight of my day was seeing how annoyed the lady who cooks the fried eggs could get. She was amazing! Asking for an omelet was like I’d kicked her dog.  The only redeeming factor was the bed was comfortable, it’s right in the Old Quarter and you don’t hear the 5am bells from St Josephs cathedral.  Basically, we paid a premium for somebody’s poo in our toilet. Woohoo.

Quite a nice stay. The bathroom had a tube. I loved the breakfast which had many options including vegetarian choices. The location was also very good.

The staff were friendly and, above all, the location was central and convenient.

Stayed here is part of our Tour book by Scoopon travel. We were not aware we were staying in three star hotels had we known we have stayed here. The towels were threadbare. The rooms were old and dated. The showers were covered in black mold however, with any complaints, you’ll find the manager asleep on oneof the couches in the lobby.

Nice hotel with courteous staff. Decent complimentary breakfast and supportive bellhop who let us keep our luggage there for a while.

The hotel is in a good location in the Old Quarter of Hanoi. The room was a little dated but very spacious. The staff was friendly. For around $25 or $30 US, they scheduled a 2-hour rickshaw tour for me, which was a great way to see the highlights of the city.

Great hotel, stayed here at the start of a tour and had booked an extra night pre-tour. Perfect location and the staff were so helpful. Breakfast was good and the rooms great.

This hotel is clean and well-maintained, with very accommodating staff who make you feel welcome throughout your stay. The complimentary breakfast offers a wide variety of delicious options, catering to different tastes. The location is excellent—within walking distance to restaurants, shops, and sightseeing spots, and conveniently close to the city. A special mention to the owner, who is incredibly accommodating and generous, adding a personal touch to the overall experience. Highly recommended for a comfortable and convenient stay.

The hotels location is great. Within walking distance of the lake, water puppet show, train street, food street, shopping. Roo.s are very small with barely enough space. Staff friendly and helpful. Number of food joints nearby.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay in Hanoi, because of the wonderful service received from Antony Nguyen, Operations Manager and his team of staff, from providing directions, to recommending tours and booking them. All of which were most enjoyable and a great life experience, including the rickshaw tour around the city to key sights. The hotel was lovely and the breakfast (included) was excellent, giving me a great start to the day of touring.

The location of the hotel is great, with shops and restaurants all nearby. Staff were very helpful and friendly. The breakfast had a good selection of food on offer. The furniture in our room was a bit dated but it was clean and comfortable.

I think this is a good three star hotel, mostly based on its location. My bed was comfortable and there was good water pressure in the shower and I had plenty of hot water. Some dirty grout in the shower and a dirty shower curtain were the reasons I didn’t give it 5 stars. Also, I found when I was at breakfast when it first opened, the items weren’t hot, including the coffee. I think they rely on the buffet burners to heat them up. When I went later, things were definitely warmer. Nice options for pho and for eggs.
