Best Two Star Hotels in Hoa Lu District

Really lovely hotel. We only got to stay one night, but the room was spacious and comfortable. The staff were so friendly, we had to check out early morning and they arrived a takeaway breakfast for us. We rented bikes from them and they gave us a great price. There’s a lovely pool but it was too cold to use during our stay!

Lys Homestay is an absolute gem. This is the second time we have stayed there and our second visit was every bit as wonderful as our first. It is run by a lovely family who do everything they can to make you feel at home. The rooms are immaculate and the location perfect. It is close to what would be considered the heart of the town but on a quiet street far enough away from the lake front square that you avoid the noise of the honking traffic. On our last visit the weather was chilly but our AC converted to a heater so we were toasty warm. The breakfast was comparable to all our Vietnamese breakfasts; coffee, tea, juices, eggs, pancakes, fruit etc. If motor bikes and bicycles are your preferred mode of transportation they have plenty of both and just received a batch of brand new bicycles the day before we left. Great location, nice swimming pool and a lovely host. We’ve booked with the neighbour Homestay but they were fully booked and moved us to this place which was literally next door and it was great. The owner is very sweet and lovely, they looked after us very well. The room was comfortable and the swimming pool is great - large and perfect to actually swim or to have a dip after a hot day. The location is also perfect, very close to Tam Coc town but away from all the loud karaoke and bars. Oh and they have an amazing doggo named Lac Lac! I would stay here again without any hesitation!

We stayed in this homestay for 3 nights in January. Upon arrival the hosts were welcoming and helpful and allowed us to check in early. The room was well sized with good ammenities. However, the room got quite cold during the night and the AC does not have a heat setting. They supply you with a small heater but this was not really enough. Suggest including some warmer blankets during winter. We also found the hot water does not last very long so it’s very hard to warm up after a day of scootering in the cold wind. There were also some animals living in our wall so was hard to sleep. The food was good and the ammenities of the place were good too - free bikes and scooters are cheap. They offer laundry and bus booking services too. There are cute kittens that hang around and the general area is nice. The homestay is well located close to Mua Cave and a scooter ride from everything else. Be aware it is very rural and you may see some shocking things around the area that are unrelated to this accomodation (think family violence, dead animals, etc). Overall, good budget accomodation but wouldn’t suggest staying in winter.

If you are looking for the best host and unforgettable view and huuuuge cozy room, you should stay here! The accomodation was clean, the breakfast (pancakes) was nice, but I am mainly writing this review because of the friendly service! The Host: Julia has a wonderful smile on her face whenever you met her. She is so helpful and friendly - it was a pleasure staying there! We also had the chance to rent a motorcycle from her - it was uncomplicated, fun and had a reasonable pricing.

What a great experience for the price we paid! The hosts were always at our service and ready to assist with any request. Once, we had an issue with an inland flight, and the gentleman at the reception promptly made a call to the airport, resolving the problem for us in Vietnamese! The property is incredibly clean and offers a fantastic pool with comfortable loungers, a billiard table, complimentary bicycles, affordable scooter rentals, and an excellent restaurant! During our stay, my girlfriend and I occupied a double room (Room 10) on the top floor. The room couldn't have been better! It was consistently clean! If you're looking for exceptional value for your money, there's no better choice in Ninh Binh than this accommodation! Thank you for the lovely time; we would definitely book again!

We can't stress enough how two days, at the very least, would do justice to the experience here. And if you're considering a journey to Halong Bay, they've got you covered too. They seamlessly arranged a luxurious limousine van for us, which conveniently picked us up right at the hotel's doorstep. Oh, and don’t miss out on the bicycles they provide – it’s the perfect way to explore Ninh Binh’s beauty. In a nutshell, if you're seeking an authentic Vietnamese experience with a touch of home, Trang An Village Homestay is the place to be. Highly recommended!
