Best Four Star Hotels in Honfleur

This is a shout out to Pascal on the front desk, this guy deserves a medal! We had a major problem with our arranged transport back to Paris & despite global roaming, neither of our phones worked. Pascal provided 200% support & assistance in resolving our issue, Then on a really busy Saturday night in Honfleur he secured us a booking at a delightful Italian restaurant close by where we had a lovely dinner, Merci Mille fois Pascal, vous êtes une étoile!

Les Maison de Lea is perfectly situated right in the centre of Honfleur next to Sainte Catherine's Church which is beautiful. From the very moment we arrived we felt welcomed at the hotel, honestly one of the warmest welcomes we have had in many years of staying in France. The very kind young lady who greeted us went out of her way to accommodate us. We had paid for parking which is a short distance from the hotel she explained how to access and took all our baggage to our room while we parked so we did not have to struggle back with it. The room itself (Chimene) was very spacious, quirky, charming and spotlessly clean. The bed was extremely comfortable and we slept well without any disruptions or noise. Breakfast was a fantastic spread with every option you could desire, the usual French selections but other lovely touches like smoked salmon and freshly squeezed orange juice. We could not experience the restaurant (which is Michelin listed) because it was closed on the nights that we stayed but there are plenty of excellent restaurants within a couple of minutes walk from the hotel. In fact, the hotel booked all the restaurants we had selected in advance of our visit for us because Honfleur can be very busy and booking is advisable. I am surprised to see negative comments from others about staff as I can honestly say that every member of staff we encountered was friendly, helpful and respectful. We loved our stay, cannot wait to return and are recommending Maison De Lea to all our friends. I am only sorry that I did not get the name of the receptionist who booked us in on the afternoon Sunday 23rd October as throughout our stay she was wonderful and a real credit to the hotel. The hotel and staff are fantastic and you could not ask for a better position to stay in Honfleur. We will be back for sure!

The hotel is hidden behind the entrance gate. There is nothing to hear except bird voices in the middle of a land property. Here you can only relax :-) The location is ideal for you to meet Honfleur (5 minutes by car) or for excursions to the surrounding area (Deuville, Cabourg etc.). Or to easily swallow and relax at the (indoor) pool. Our room ”Caravelle” was large, bright, spacious and decorated with lovely details. A highlight of the stay was the cozy breakfast on the enchantingly covered table with ” grandma haferl” and everything you need. So the day begins well! As a early ascension and tourist with full day schedule, I found breakfast time (9.00 to 10.30) unusually late, but this is the only small minute I could find.

Before we had even arrived at the property I knew we were in for a special stay. We had an issue with a rental car and the hotel swept into action the day before we arrived helping us procure a driver and tours to ensure we could make our way to the hotel and enjoy the countryside. Wow- it was amazing! We were greeted warmly as we stepped out of the car and welcomed by the friendliest reception staff. Our room was not ready and they served us champagne while we waited and showed us the property. It was only up from there - the suite we stayed in was gorgeous and very comfortable. We cancelled our reservations in town because the property was so cozy and dined on-site. Just overall a fabulous stay with excellent service. Cannot recommend enough.

The location of the hotel is at the old town, actually is a bit hard to find the entrance if you are driving there. As we are driving we miss the hotel at the first time. So for people who is driving there you can actually stop in front of the hotel and press the bell and people will come out and help you with the luggage The service is really good, they carry our luggage all the way up the room The room is big and comfy, they have bath hub and steam bath, which is really nice

We stayed for two nights in this hotel. Very positive experience from the start . Friendly and helpful staff . Very central location . We dropped off our bags and parked for free about ten mins walk away . Great breakfast in a lovely room with a view over the harbour. We were with friends and all three rooms had views over the harbour and were a good size and comfortable . Would highly recommend if you want to be able to wander around the town at ease .
