The hotel is an about 5-10mins from hua hin night market or major shopping centres. So you’ll need to commute back and forth if you want to do some shopping or for meals outside of the hotel but taxis ain’t easy to get during busy hours. We booked two rooms with garden view. The rooms felt a bit old and our boys got really bad mosquito bites all over their face, arms and legs (So beware if you are travelling with kids). There were many activities for kids (badminton, swimming, mini football, kids room) but you do need to queue for your turn as the hotel was busy. Breakfast was buffet styled and the food was ok (but nothing too spectacular) with plenty of local and western options. The spa was very good. I had a deep tissue massage and I just felt so relaxed and slept through half of the treatment. Overall, a well established resort in hua hin with a more traditional or old-school feel to it. If you are looking for a more modern resorts with newer facilities, then this may not be the place for you.

Had an amazing stay at the Movenpick. Rooms were spacious and service was awesome. Staff were amazing and food at both restaurants was really nice. The only negatives were; the hotel is not close to town or restaurants and the free shuttle only had 3 time slots per day into town (2pm, 7pm and 10pm). Our deluxe pool view room was amazing & had all the amenities one needed. Loved the little details that the housekeepers did to the room (essential oils each day in oil burner, closing curtains at night and a little tidy up of rubbish each afternoon) nothing was an issue. Loved that they also had a little buggy that could take you roud the resort if you didn’t want to walk from restaurants to rooms. If you want a relaxing quiet time get away, the movenpick is a great choice.

We stayed 14 days at his amazing hotel. We had a ”Rest Horizon” room, this is a quite large room with a true king size bed with a nice bathroom, but the best thing was the private mini infinity pool / Jacuzzi right on the balcony. We used it every day / night. Food: All the food from the giant selection on the breakfast buffet to the evening dinner in the restaurant was really good. Especially the genuine Thai dishes in was of an amazing quality. Please treat yourself with some massage, its really worth both time and money. It was helpful that this Inn/guest house was still available as my plans changed at the last moment at a fair price. Quiet neighbourhood. Well kept public spaces, spotless tiles with steep steps to rooms. My room was okay, but quite musty. Some problem in the pipes under the bathroom or a poorly maintained a/c unit! Will aggravate any respiratory condition. TV is adequate, but analog cable. Bed comfortable. Small fridge helpful, but there are no stores nearby to replenish supplies. Nowhere near the beach. A good breakfast is provided by friendly staff, and their bar is handy for a nightcapy. 8 minutes to downtown Hua Hin, or 4 minutes north to RRC Coach stop (to Suvarnbhami Airport), but fixed priced cab fares are high. In a pinch, I'd stay again, but likely not.

For our December trip to Hua Hin, my family and I were at the behest of the most unfortunate and appalling places to stay I think I've encountered in all my years of travel. Upon arrival, the outer gardens and general presence of the place seems welcoming and clean. It's when you insert the key into the room door that you get the full impression of what's going on here. Surfaces are all dirty and look as though they've not been cleaned in half a century. Rat droppings in the kitchen windowsills, water from the taps is yellow and smells like sewerage. The outside balconies are peppered with bird droppings that have NEVER been cleaned up. The drains all run slow or are totally blocked, with some black discharge coming out of them. All the faucets are loose, rusted, wobbly and damaged, there's also a very bare minimum of amenities provided for your use. The excuse? It's a homestay, so we don't do that. This place upon our investigation is only 2 years old, but it's so poorly maintained and badly cleaned that you'd mistake it for being 40 years old. The design and layout is awesome, but it's all completely let down by the lack of proper hygiene standards. On day 3, they turned off the water and electricity to the room. This is while I had a face full of soap in the shower and had to wait 20 minutes before they switched it back on. The water pressure is non existent, the temperature of the shower goes from burning hot to ice cold for no reason and by the end of your shower, you'll be standing in a pool of water due to the drains being completely clogged to the brim with all kinds of gunk. After that incident with the water and power, we decided to take up stay at another resort that's not run by a Thai company, rather a world class business that treats their customers with respect, not contempt. I had to fight tooth and nail with the agent of the villa and Agoda to attain a refund for the nights we reneged on due to the poor hygiene conditions. Unfortunately, due to possible contact with the rat droppings in the kitchen, my wife and I had fallen slightly ill for a short period of time. I was on the toilet so long that my legs went numb! The staff at the reception area were polite enough to assist us in attaining a partial refund for the withdrawal of our stay, but it was only because when we informed them we were not going to stay there anymore, they gave the room to someone else during the time in which we had it booked in. I asked them to clean the room properly because my driver would be joining us for one night before taking us to Buriram the following day. I informed him to only use the bedroom and not go anywhere near the balconies or kitchen areas. Despite us making a number of requests to clean the room properly, none of the above problems were addressed. They simply mopped the floor quickly, changed the towels and left.
