Great quality/price ratio. Humberto has a great sense of hospitality and is also a wonderful guide that can set you up for mindblowing expeditions in the area with his company Joker-expeditions services.

Used this hostel 2 times once in 2020 in for 2 weeks and another time this summer 2023 for 5 weeks. Its a great base camp for your expeditions and is run by a master guide that is always their to help and to ofer his guide company Joker-expeditions services. Very helpfulull staff that will answer you question and plan your stay in Huaraz and surounding areas busses reservations, locations guide food sugestions excetera. Can and is also used as just a place to stay in the area to sleep for a short time also.

My recent week-long stay in Huaraz was made perfect by the wonderful hospitality at this hidden gem of a home. The hosts were incredibly welcoming, and the room exceeded my expectations with its cleanliness and thoughtful design. The communal spaces were inviting, and the overall atmosphere was cozy and relaxing. The hosts' local tips added an extra layer to my experience in Huaraz. If you're seeking a comfortable and charming stay in the heart of Peru, look no further. Highly recommended!

Humberto runs a very friendly Guesthous with his family. They are all very friendly and helpful. Excellent food and no matter what you need, I´m sure that Humberto can get it sorted. Humberto is also a master of expedition logistics!

We stayed for 6 weeks at Humberto's guest house, and really felt like home. The rooms are cosy, clean, with private bathroom and hot shower all the time. It's location is perfect: 15 minutes walking from the Plaza de los Armas (or 5 min with colectivo), in a quiet and sympathic neibourhood. The whole family is super welcoming, helping, devoted. Humberto and Gladys will do whatever they can to make you fell like home. Humberto is also a mountain guide, he has years of experience, knows perfectly what he is talking about. He will always be happy to help you organizing your trip in Huaraz, giving you tips etc. We did one expedition with him, it was absolutely incredible, great organization, awesome food, very safe, and with a lot of professionalism. We will definitely come back at Humberto's soon !!!

Really great spot! Humberto is incredibly friendly and knowledgeable— the area gives a better feel for life in Huaraz- highly recommend ! Also super affordable and Humberto can give you great advice for what to do in the surrounding areas

Stayed 4 weeks at Humbertos Guesthouse...always a warm welcome and perfect organization for our tours to the mountains. Excellent Breakfast. He even organized us the bus trip back to Lima. Best Guesthouse in Huaraz.

We wen't mountainering in cordillera blanca without a guide but humberto helped us to organize everything from Taxi to donkeydriver and kept our luggage save for the time We were on tours. Nicest Person on the hole Peru trip he even helped us organize the trip afterwards to macchu picchu. And by far the best breakfest we had in any Hostel in Peru. He made It at any time we wanted it. He's helped us with everything.
