The front desk staff were very nice and helpful. The hotel itself is in desperate need of cleaning and updating.

This is your average small town, inexpensive, independent hotel. Sheets were clean, toilet wasn’t. Overall felt like a safe property that just needs to hire a new housekeeper. With that said, I would stay again.

Great little hometown run hotel! It's not a resort, but nicely kept, good responcive service, good hot breakfast and wonderful location - 2 blocks from downtown.
Well worth the cost and I'll be sure to rebook and stay here again on future overnights to Independence!!!

My stay at the Inn was terrific! The staff there are very kind and helpful plus the bed was so comfortable that it was hard to get up in the morning.

We paid to have the jet tub in our suite. The tub didn’t work. The faucet all’s dripped. That drove us crazy. The shower also dripped, and the door would not close. Overall, not a bad room but paying more to not get that and other things not working is “Not so hot”

One of the hot tubs was not working, it was heated but wouldn't bubble. Some of the outside doors could be accessed without using the key card. The biggest disappointment was the breakfast bar, choices were limited and there was no sausage or bacon.

I loved the caring concern of when we were arriving. Crystal called to check and make sure we were ok. The property needs a lot of refurbishing!! Beginning with removing the roaches!! The quality of cleaning is lacking also. We were given a room with dead baby roaches and a cricket on the bathroom floor. As I went in to use the toilet, a full grown adult roach came running out of the molding!! We changed rooms to a different hallway, and this room was used and not cleaned! poop in toilet, pop spill in sink, sticky stuff on night stand! I was ready to leave the hotel when I was given one more room which I was told was an "upgrade" room. She was right, It was clean and appeared to be bug free! I will not ever stay in this hotel again, nor will I recommend it to any one!!
