More geared towards families with children... Not much entertainment... But everything's okay... Well located... Food could be better but it's not bad... Good service.

The stay was great in practically every aspect — the hotel is very pleasant, with excellent facilities, a tranquil atmosphere, and a fantastic location. The service was always friendly and attentive, and overall the experience was very positive. However, there are some points that could be improved: access to the indoor pool is paid (€15 for only 90 minutes), changing pool towels has an additional cost of €1, and during the 3 days of stay, the bath towels in the room were not changed at all. The breakfast, although good and in a spacious area, could be more varied. In the spa changing rooms, despite being a pleasant space, only two shower rooms were available — which may be insufficient when there are more guests wanting to use the space, although it was quite useful on the last day to take a shower before the return trip. Overall, I recommend Estival Islantilla, as it offers a great experience, but with some details to be improved to be worthy of a true four-star resort.

I will not book with you again

Just coming to the end of a week at Estival Huelva, May 26. Hotel is large with grounds to match, busy week but always a quiet space to be found. Food as always with a buffet style some good some not so good. Difficult to please every one. We found it OK. There is entertainment on during the evening mostly for the kids, nothing wrong with that. Rooms OK and cleaned daily as you would expect. There are rules around the pools regarding the wearing of tee shirts, balls, inflatable items in the pools and enforced by pool attendants. Not a lot outside of the hotel, a few bars and restaurants, only visited the Titanic bar, not expensive. Really long beach but the sea is not really suitable for kids, bit rough and drops away quite steeply. All in all an enjoyable holiday but probably wouldn't return. Probably our age.

Location is very convenient and easy accessto the beachand walkway, staff are very helpful, reception guys were extraordinary at check-in , weather was a pit clod and windy, not convenient for beach enjoyment. Rooms were good with comfortable living area, pillows can be more comfortable, fixtures a pit dated, one sink was not draining well, noisy humming sound when we flush WC. Breakfast and dinner were good and varied but drinks are not included in dinner, hot pool are for extra cost which was a mandatory for kids in such cold weather.

Pretty hotel, swimming pools and sun beds are many, Food is nice different each evening with a theme. Always warm. Pool bar burgers are a big dodgy and under cooked. Drinks no issues, play room for kids Entertainment is mediocre and 10pm every night which I feel is late for the kids. Kids club awful on for 6-7 same songs and dance every night. Good location with the beach If you like not leaving a complex this is the place for you, if you like to go out and about I wouldn’t recommend Rooms clean and tidy loads a space could do with a refurb Wouldn’t say it is a 4 star resort more a 3 star

I have just spent a week here with my 6 year old son and I couldn’t have picked a better hotel for our first trip just the two of us. The room was spacious and had everything we needed, there have been reviews to say take hangers but we had 12 which was enough for us. The rooms were cleaned every day. The facilities around the pool were great, a pool bar and snack bar. The food was fresh and there was plenty of selection even for a small snack bar. The staff work relentlessly in the pool bar and couldn’t be more friendly. My son loved the pool table! There is a system in place where they provide tokens for you to collect cups and then your drinks which some people found tenuous however this meant that the pool area was not cluttered with cups and the area was always very clean and free of bugs. The pools are clean and well kept, the lifeguards are very strict but this obviously ensures safety for all guests. Balls and toys are allowed in the small kids pool. The food in the main restaurant was fantastic, the best I have ever had at an all inclusive hotel. Every night was a different theme and it catered really well to all tastes. Our favourite was the Italian night, the pasta was amazing. My son attended the kids club a couple of times which prior to him going I was very dubious about. However he loved it and the range of activities were great for him. There are shops and restaurants a short walk along the beach and a bigger supermarket that outside the hotel (although this was very fairly priced despite a captive audience) I would 100% recommend this for families, however if you do prefer a busier area and more opportunity for trips then a different location would be better suited. The staff here work relentlessly and are so accommodating and friendly. It is well worth a visit.

We recently stayed here with friends and family, and unfortunately our overall experience was very disappointing. The hotel was extremely overcrowded, with nowhere near enough sun loungers for the number of guests. One of the most frustrating rules was that if you left your sunbed for more than 30 minutes, staff would remove your belongings and towels. While I understand there need to be rules in place, as a family of five with children it was impossible to go for lunch and return within that time. The drinks system was also very inconvenient. You were given tokens to exchange for drinks, then had to keep hold of the same cup all day in order to get another drink. At the end of the day, you handed the cup back in for your tokens again. It just felt unnecessarily awkward for an all-inclusive hotel. Cleanliness throughout the hotel was appalling. The rooms were grubby, the public toilets were consistently dirty, and there was often no soap available. One evening I even walked into a toilet where there was faeces on the floor. Our room had several major issues. The balcony door did not lock at all, which made me feel unsafe and unable to properly sleep at night. The front door lock was coming away from the wall and had to be slammed shut in order to close properly. If you have three people staying in one room, expect to be extremely cramped, with very little storage, hanging space, or drawer space available. The balcony itself also felt unsafe and looked very tired and dirty. We were celebrating special birthdays for two of our friends and wanted to decorate their sunbeds. I politely checked with reception first, but the staff were rude and unhelpful, simply telling us to speak to the lifeguards. A few days later we discovered the hotel actually offered birthday cakes and celebration packages, but nobody bothered to mention this to us. Another disappointment was that pool inflatables were not allowed in the pool, despite the hotel shop actively selling them. The beach was also very misleading. The hotel description advertised a “sandy beach,” but it was actually very shelly. This was a huge factor in why we booked this hotel, so it was extremely disappointing. Overall, this is definitely not a 4-star hotel in our opinion — at best, it is a 3-star resort. Sadly, this was our experience, and we left feeling very upset and let down.

We had such a fantastic time staying 7 nights all inclusive. The staff are phenomenal. It's very well run and you always get a friendly greeting. The lifeguards do a fantastic job keeping everyone safe. The restaurant staff work tirelessly to clear empty plates efficiently. The rooms are basic and comfortable. The food is as expected when catering for hundreds of covers 3 times a day. Dont expect gourmet. There was a good selection at every meal and its constantly replenished. Drinks were lovely with slushies for kids and soft serve ice cream at the bar. The pool was big enough and we always managed to get a lounger. Kids pool with slides is great fun. There is a lovely grass area to relax in the sun. The beach is across the promenade only a very short distance from the hotel with a bar and sun loungers under umbrellas. Lovely stretch of promenade to go for walks with shops and restaurants just a short distance. Nature walk too where we spotted birds, rabbits and even a chameleon. Its a quiet town where you are forced to slow down, relax and recharge. We loved it and would definitely go again. Towels are available for a 15 euro deposit which you get back when returned. Loungers on the beach where 5 euro for morning or 10 euro for the day

got home early this afternoon from a week here with my 6 year old son and WOW!! I’d honestly give this hotel a *5 instead of a 4 our week was perfect, the food was amazing there was a different theme each night and even if you didn’t fancy that there was pizza and pasta station every evening, also a grill section where there was pork chicken fish steak etc, I saw a lot of previous comments about food being cold but I think the sheer amount of food and options it would be impossible to have everything hot but I’d say all the food that should be hot definitely was, entertainment team was great also really appreciated the amount of lifeguards on duty always one at each pool keeping an eye on things which some people can see it as too much but with having my 6 year old son with me I saw it more comforting than anything, our room was lovely we didn’t spend much time in it at all but bed was comfy and room was cleaned every day so don’t need anything more than that, I’m not a person to usually repeat a holiday destination but I definitely want to come back here as it had everything we needed and no complaints, only thing I’d recommend is to book a private transfer when you arrive to the hotel, the journey would have been 2 hours if we kept our inclusive coach but with my private one only took an hour straight from faro to the hotel and I used yellow fish so I’d recommend them, also loved that to get a drink by the pool you had to take your cups up to then get another which stopped lots of empty cups lying around making a mess which I thought was very smart and you get use to doing it once you’re there, all in all best holiday I’ve been on so far so If you’re thinking about booking here id definitely recommend and if you’re already coming you’re in for a treat
