Deluxe Golden Horn Sultanahmet Hotel Reviews

The location of this hotel is very good, only five minutes walk to Blue Mosque and Hagia Grand Mosque , and three minutes walk to Metro station at Sultanahmet, 15 minutes walk to main train station. I stayed in this hotel for three nights. My room is on the first floor with street views. The bathroom isn’t standard, maybe it’s for disable people. The views from roof of hotel are amazing, overlooking the river , Blue Mosque and Hagia. Breakfast is ok, not much fruits. I wasn’t happy about airport transport. I booked for 10 am taxi one day before, but taxi didn’t show up after 10:10. I have to walk on the street to get one. The old town traffic is very bad. It took about one hour to get to the airport IST for 1000 Turkey ‘s Lira or 30 Euros. It rated 4 star hotel, but I feel like it’s three star hotel.

Cozy rooms, excellent service, and perfect location near main attractions. Great breakfast variety. Clean and comfortable. Highly recommended for travelers!

I didn’t stay in deluxe hotel, you called when it was 12 pm that there are no available room in that hotel and you gave me another hotel which didn’t my expectations at all Its a really bad experience and I don’t want to stay at this hotel anymore and i want to cancel my booking with a full refund This is not acceptable at all .

Located in the old town, only a five-minute walk to the mosque. There are many restaurants around, but the hotel is located on a relatively quiet road with a small garden at the door. Overall, it is much quieter than those hotels facing the road. The room is relatively small. If two people's suitcases are laid flat on the floor, there is basically no aisle, but it is clean and tidy. The breakfast room on the top floor is the highlight, and the scenery from a distance is amazing. Breakfast is also okay, and there is something for Chinese stomachs to eat, but freshly ground coffee is charged separately. The only shortcoming is that the front desk service is not as warm and sincere as other hotels on our trip. The reserved room was no longer available and was not informed when we checked in. We were given a room change after Ctrip complained. But the faults do not hide the advantages, and overall I am quite satisfied.

The location is great, just behind the Blue Mosque. When you go to the restaurant on the 6th floor, you can see the Blue Mosque directly from a straight line of 100 meters, and the Sophia Cathedral diagonally to the left. In the morning, you can see the sunrise, it's so beautiful. I have to give his breakfast a thumbs up. The staff service is very good, very standard service. The hotel room is not large. It is less than 100 meters away from T1 and is convenient to take. I really recommend this hotel. In fact, it’s not far from the Basilica Cistern, Topka Palace, Museum of Civilization, and Egyptian Bazaar.

The scenery during breakfast was great. Recommended. Take photos and check in. Musa at the front desk is a very enthusiastic guy.

The hotel is in good place, you can walk to lots of attractions places. There are alot of restaurants around and transport like tram, trains and buses. The reception is helpful if you want to get a taxis with reasonable prices to the airport. Musa the receptionists is very friendly and always helpful. Thx for the welcoming environment 🙂.

Staff was super friendly and really took great care of us the view from the room was spectacular of the Blue mosque also the sixth floor breakfast area also had the great view of the Blue mosque.

The corner room was spectacular with the Blue Mosque right outside our window. We loved the total experience. The hotel decor made us feel like we were staying in the Ottoman dynasty. The staff was fantastic, and we will stay there again in our next visit to Istanbul. Sarya and Adnan, two of the many hotel associates were great.

Everything from booking with online discussions with Sarya was very helpful. Check-in went perfect with outstanding service from all staff. The hotel is beautiful and the view from the terrace restaurant was the BEST. Adnan, a hotel associate who went way beyond his job duties to help us must be recognized. Thanks for a wonderful Hotel experience.

Ideally located to easily walk to numerous historical sites like Grand Bazaar, Hippodrome, Constantine's Cistern, Blue Mosque and view from Hotel's Terrace Cafe is simply awesome.

The location is first rate. There are plenty of restaurants close by as well as public transportation to the bazaars and waterways. Lots of sites within walking distance - it couldn't have been better. The hotel is dated and worn. It is clean without question but I would say it is a travelers hotel. There is a nice selection of breakfast items and juices in a large dining room which was a plus. Staff was always helpful and an extra bonus is the luggage scale - great for the souviners we added to our baggage! I wouldn't say the AC was broken but felt more like a swap cooler in the rooms that a traditional AC. The weather was gorgeous and the windows open easily which turned out to be perfect for us!

Did not like No airconditiong in room. Safe broke down with passports in before leaving. King size bed had no bed sheets. Shower kind of crummy. Not fit to ever go back to.

A good place to stay while exploring Istanbul, close to all the historical places , also staff is very helpful and good mannered, the cleaning lady was keeping our room tidy and clean . If you want to book any tours you can just go to the reception staff and they will sort you out . Worth staying.👍
