My friend and I were staying at Mount Ararat Hotel for three nights. We were welcomed by friendly and helpful staff. Even though we barely stayed in our room, the room had everything what we needed after a long day outdoors. The beds were very comfortable, the place was clean and so was the bathroom. There were a lot of restaurants nearby and during the evening the neighbourhood became very lively with locals and tourists. We were happy that after a tiring day we could grab some food and drinks with our hotel in the close proximity. On our last evening Saleh helped us arranging the transport to the airport which was top-notch! On the other hand, we had an arrangement with breakfast included and it was slightly disappointing. It was buffet with various choices of food and drinks but my friend and I are a little bit fussy. We preferred to grab something on our way to the city centre. It is not a deal breaker though. All in all, good value for money. We were satisfied about our choice and would definitely come back.

It's a nice looking hotel, very clean with comfortable beds. There is daily cleaning free of charge. They have a fan and heating but not air conditioner but it was good for me because I stayed here during autumn time. No kettle inside the room but you can request hot water at the reception or use the kettle in the kitchen area at -1 floor. They have a laundry room, have to pay 20TL at the reception counter, they will give you detergent as well. The only issue with me was the thin walls, i could hear the neighbors snore loudly 😅 In terms of location, there are nice restaurants and cafes nearby. There is a small-medium sized mall nearby which is good. Bus stop is 3 minutes walking distance, but no metro station that is walking distance. Also no tourist attraction nearby annd it's quite far from taksim, but it was convenient for me to go places woth public transport. For the price it's worth it.

I have booked at Pera orient hotel because it offers what I want from an hotel during my travels and the feedbacks were in its favor. Just after my booking was done I stumble on a negative review that was posted on trip advisor. I was worried about my choice. But when I went to Istanbul and stayed there, I felt compelled to share my own experience, which was entirely different and absolutely fantastic! I believe it's essential to give credit where credit is due. First of all , if you are seeking a resort , Pera Orient is not a resort and it never claims to be one! My stay at Pera Orient was comfortable and pleasant. Upon arrival, I was warmly greeted by the friendly and attentive staff, who made their best to help me in every possible way and to answer my queries during my 5-day long stay. Their warm smiles and genuine willingness to assist truly set the tone for my stay. The location of the hotel is ideal. A 6 min walk from the hotel takes you to Taksim square where you can take the Metro or bus to reach your desired destination. And it allowed me to make regular daily walks on istikal street . The street is a little narrow yes, but there are plenty of hotels all around that I have never felt scared or unsafe ( as it was mentioned in the negative review). And I always took the upward direction then turn right towards taksim. I was greeted by a spotless clean room with a tasteful decor. The bed was incredibly comfortable, The housekeeping staff was attentive and meticulous, making sure that my room was impeccably cleaned each day. Coffee and tea were left daily next to the kettle (sometimes with a bottle of water). When I will visit Istanbul again , I will definitely chose Pera Orient to stay in.

I stayed here in February 2020 for 4 nights together with a friend. The staff is very friendly and the hotel is very clean. The hotel is only a 10 minute walk away from the nearest sightseeing places located in the historic part of the city. Even nearer to the hotel there are groceryshops, bars, parks and restaurants. Keeping in mind the little money you pay for your stay, you can't really complain. Eventhough, I'd like to see some changes. Since the bathroom is really small, the whole bathroom actually is the shower. Everything gets wet, so there's not really a good place to leave your towel and cloths which you obviously want to keep dry. Maybe a few hooks or hanging baskets will be a good addition. There was 1 hook though, but it was very small and broken. (see picture of toilet, there a small cabinet next so the width is about 1,20 M en the same goes for the depth. The shower is on the right wall, infront of the cabinet) It also takes a very long time for the bathroom to dry. The water isn't stopped bij a small shower edge or something and theres nothing to wipe the water with, which left us with only one option: Shower in the evenings and leave the window in the bathroom open so it will be dry by the time it's morning. Not idealic at all, considering we where staying here during the winter. Also we had to share a socket during the night to charge our phones. It would be great if there were more of them. These are all small 'complaints' so it's not too bad. Especially for the money you pay. There's one thing left I'd like to warn you for: the sounds. The hotel is very noisy. You can hear other people very well and unfortunatly we had some people staying in the hotel that didn't take this into account. Because of the noisyness, you'll also be able to hear the mosques very loudly in the early mornings, so if you don't want to, bring some earplugs. Despite of the few negatives, I myself would stay here again and so would recommend this hotel if you are looking for a cheap hotel near the old city centre.

The best point of hotel was its cleanness. It was cleaned every single day.Also staff were very friendly specially şahin. our room was very small but the view was incredible. The elevator was the worst part it was small and needs to be replaced by a new one..the walls were very thin so I could hear my neighbour's vomiting which was discussting!I recommend this hotel for friend groups and couples.i guess I will back to this hotel!

1st day arrived when we check-in our room, it is blocked by another tower building, after talked to Akin understand that there is a wedding, all room are being booked, they can help me to change another room next day, hence, next day after our breakfast, Ms Raziye managed help us with a better view room. On our last day, Ms Assel also give us some good advices; concierge gentlemen also give us a lot of good advices on local food! All the staffs are very friendly. Love this place.

What an absolute gorgeous hotel. You would never think that you were staying in the heart of Istanbul whilst staying at the Garden House Hotel. This hotel is ideally located close to the the blue mosque, grand bazaar (which is a unique experience to visit)and many more places of interest. The room that we stayed had a small balcony overlooking the pretty courtyard, the room was decorated in a traditional Turkish style and was spacious, very clean and the bed was super comfy. We had breakfast included with our stay which was lovely, with plenty to chose from. The staff at the hotel were really lovely, and helped us out when we had problems with getting our boarding passes, nothing was too much trouble for them. We decided that we wanted to go on a boat trip during our stay, the hotel offered us information on this and we booked half a day trip which was €50 each, I would highly recommend this trip as it’s a great way to see more of Istanbul, and really interesting. Overall I can’t recommend this hotel enough.

HI - I have marked this as average for a couple of reasons - the first is that when you book this hotel online they do not tell you that there are 2 wings in the hotel facing each other - the first is one is the main only with suite rooms and the other one is called the ”deluxe” wing. Also they don't tell on the website what is different between the 2 wings - we booked the hotel through Makemytrip.com website where it was mentioned that the room size was 325 sq ft and advertised as a 5 star hotel. Believing the details we booked the hotel for 7 nights - now when we check in we find the following problems : 1. The room is barely 200 sq ft in size and very small 2. The floors are stained 3. The furniture is all scratched 4. There is supposedly a balcony which is dirty and walls are stained 5. The lobby of the so called 5 star hotel was like a 2 star small lobby. So we call the Guest Relationship executive and make the complaints that this is not a 5 start hotel room - it is not even a 2 star hotel room and the area is much smaller than advertised. He agrees with us but says he is helpless - so we ask to see the manager - the manager has perfected the art of making excuses - he tells us that the room is used daily so the furniture is damaged and the area of the room is as per the original plan which was passed although the actual size is small. We made a huge fuss and asked to be relocated to the other wing - so they showed us a suite room which was nice and we asked them to move us there - they said that this would cost us 90 euros per night extra - we negotiated and settled at euro 50 per night and paid euros 350 extra for the 7 nights. This wing is fine and service is also good. I am attaching the pictures of the room in the deluxe wing - please see for your self whether this can be called as a room of a 5 tsar hotel. The hotel really needs to be pulled up for false advertising and also MakeMyTrip should be pulled up for not verifying claims of the hotels they advertise on their website.

The hotel is small, but the level of service was fantastic. The the staff all spoke English and were very helpful and friendly. The room where clean, We had a balcony room with a lovely view of the street. The breakfast was a typical Turkish breakfast. We enjoyed it. Specially the melon, feta and the cheese borek. It’s a few minute walk from the hustle and bustle of the Arasta bazaar and the Sultan Ahmet Park. I would book this hotel again.

Unfortunately, during our stay at this hotel from 21 to 28 may 2022, a pair of shoes we had bought were stolen from us, and although the hotel's security cameras were checked and it was found that the fog had been stolen, they did not accept the hotel's security manager ! We were easily robbed in a five-star hotel chain , I attached a photo of the shoe bags on the day we bought it and went to the room .

I stayed at the point hotel for 4 nights. Checked in late and had a room service. Food was nice and arrived quickly. Breakfast choices are plenty of hot and cold food options. The furniture in the restaurant is tired but it does the job. Nice and clean shower. Big desk and extra comfy seats in the room. TV wouldn’t switch on but I wasn’t in the room most of them. The Metro station is not far from the hotel to go to the old city. Overall it is a decent hotel at a decent price.

The hotel is well located, close to many attractions and also to various marine and land public transportation; which allows to go almost anywhere in the city. I enjoyed my stay in this hotel although i was disappointed with the room at first, as i found it not yet cleaned after the departure of the previous guest, luckally, it was still in a good condition. My room was in the 2nd floor, it was quite and comfortable, the wifi signal was stable and very fast. However, i truely believe that the prices are a little bit over-valued compared to other hotels. i enjoyed the breakfast, it was a purely turkich one. The staff was kind and helpful and english-capable also.

If you’re looking for a very good hotel in Beşiktaş, don’t search alot and choose this one. I stayed at Hotel Basfora in end of June 2023 and it was amazing! The location was perfect, surrounded by great restaurants and shops and it was near to the attractions places in Istanbul. The neighbourhood was peaceful, ensuring a good night's sleep. The reception staff, especially Mehmet, were incredibly responsive, welcoming, and very helpful. His warm welcome, guidance, and assistance made our stay even more enjoyable, this applies to all the other staff also. The cost vs value at Hotel Basfora was excellent, offering a great experience at a reasonable price. However, it would be even better if the price included breakfast. Starting the day with a delicious meal would have added that extra touch of convenience and value. Additionally, there were a few minor maintenance issues in the bathroom, with water flow and a broken iron and AC. The elevator was also a bit slow and the rooms are not spacious. These are areas that could be improved to enhance guest satisfaction. Nevertheless, despite these minor drawbacks, Hotel Basfora remains a fantastic choice for an affordable stay in Istanbul. Also one note: there’s another hotel called Basfora plus belongs to the same owner, make sure to read the reviews of that one too, I made a mistake by going there first but I got to know the amazing reception staff there. I was here for 5 days after receiving surgery with Dr Serbulant. He offers 3 different hotels & this was the cheapest one in his package. Dont let that put you off as we had a fantastic experience, the staff are very warm & welcoming. Everyday our room was cleaned and left smelling if bleach (absolutely essential for after surgery) There is a breakfast buffet which I want Kean as I am a fussy eater but they were more than happy to make alternatives in the kitchen (omelette etc) The staff would chap everyday to drop off fresh bottled water/tea/ coffee & for a general chat to make sure we were happy with everything. I was made to feel very welcome & again as a fussy eater I would order food online which the reception called a mcdonalds for me. The only thing I would say to change is to have bigger bins and maybe a bigger fridge. I was here for corrective surgery through comfortzone where I had a bad experience but Serbulent has upped his game & my experience here has been overall wonderful. Thank you Modus, I shall be returning here if I receive surgery in the bear future. X
