Baymont by Wyndham Jacksonville Orange Park

Convenient place with many stores and shopping around. We had a family of 4. Double bed room. The room and hotel is really old. The room cleanliness was mediocre, lots of stains, rust and even mold along the ceiling. The beds were comfortable. Sheets were felt and looked clean. All the things in the room worked. Free continental breakfast that ends at 9. Waffles, eggs, bagels, muffins, juice and coffee. The staff was not very nice but did provide one extra towel even though we asked for two. Looks to be owned by Indian but not for sure. Not too sure if I plan to stay there again.

Over chargered even though room was payed for through ******* they charged 71 to my card on top of 100 deposit. Room smelled bad and there was a lot of mold bugs

It was clean, check in was easy. There is a 100 dollar deposit as an addition to your stay cost. The microwave kept flipping the switch in the room. I also was shocked when I tried to plug in my computer into the wall. My charger didn’t work after that. I was on the side close to the highway so it was very loud if my ac wasn’t running.

If your room is by the freeway expect to be woke up every morning by motorcycles gunning it to get on the freeway. The room was ok I bought an air spray to get the old smoke/mildew smell out of the room. My room was non smoking but the carpet is very old so if that was replaced I'm sure that would help. The front staff was very kind and let me check in 30 mins early.

Better options nearby The rug was very dirty, and had to fight roaches more than once. Excellent location with shopping and food very nearby, seems ok during the day but night hits and there's no lighting and lots of sketchy looking people hanging around near the entrance and around the hotel area. Didn't feel safe being out past a certain time.

Only redeeming quality was it was a place to rest. What we didn't like, we reserved online and also had to put down a $100 deposit upon arrival. Nowhere on ******* or n thw hotels website did it mention anything about a deposit. Beds were clean but extremely lumpy. Had 2 remotes to operate the tv, no phone in the room. Coffee pot and items were so dusty. Products to use were not Dove, like advertised on the bottles. The tubs drain stop was broken. My 2 yr old did not want to bathe because she was scared of the hole. The handle for them water temp was opposite. Thank goodness, I tried it before my kids, otherwise they would have been burnt. The biggest point, the ac barely blew cold air. All of us sweated at night. This is with everything off and the ac on. In the state of FL, ac is NEEDED! Also, my husband was offered *****, literally right outside of the hotel. Do not go for the breakfast. Not anything continental about it. Options very limited. I have stayed at cheaper hotels and have had a better all around experience. Will not be staying here again. I HIGHLY do NOT recommend!!
