German Colony Jerusalem|2.44km from Gazelle Valley
We checked in to the hotel for a 2 night weekend stay. We had booked a room with an Old City view. Unfortunately, the view was of another hotel opposite, the First Station and the Mount of Olives. If I leaned out if the window and looked left I could see the Old City. The room was very tastefully furnished, with a comfortable bed and spacious bathroom with separate bath and shower. The hotel has a shallow indoor lap pool, next to a well equipped gym. There is an outdoor infinity pool on the roof with amazing panoramic views in 3 directions. It gets windy up there and the pool was very cold. There is an indoor meat bar on the roof, which we went to, but left soon after as it was freezing at night. I would recommend improving the heating in there. Breakfast was a very high standard with an excellent selection and high quality. Hot drinks and eggs are served to the table. Dinner on Friday night was the best I'd ever had. There was an extensive selection with very good meats in the carvery. The food was further enhanced by the excellent service by the dining room staff. We also enjoyed treatments in the spa. The spa receptionist was very friendly and helpful. The lobby bar serves good cocktails and food. The staff in the hotel are very service oriented, from the room cleaners, to the reception staff (apart from one rude receptionist). Fadi at reception ensured that the guests got the best service and should be commended.

The room is clean and tidy, and the daily hygiene is very good. Sometimes we don't go out and they clean the room quickly and easily.
Villa Brown Moshava - a Member of Brown Hotels

German Colony
We stayed at Villa Ba Moshava to be near our family who live in the area. This was a repeat visit to the hotel. The hotel is in a beautiful historic house that has been tastefully renovated. The terrace area is lovely. The staff are polite and helpful. There is 24/7 tea and coffee in the lounge which is great. Our bedroom was very comfortable but on the small side. When we booked we should have requested a room with bath, they were all taken when we checked in. A nice touch of luxury is bathrobes and slippers in the room. The hotel doesn't have a car park, but you can usually find parking nearby on blue and white. All in all, can recommend.
Ramada Jerusalem Hotel

Room looks a little bit rundown but it was spacious and the ensuite bathtub made for a great way to relax after an entire day of walking around in the city. It was located a little distance from the Tram stop, so if you dont know the shortcut, it could take a while to see and walk to the hotel. Breakfast selection and variety was great, enjoyed the meals thoroughly. Location was near the civic centre and National Library, so that was a nice bonus.

Lovely small hotel in a very peaceful old neighbourhood which is thankfully holding back the developers. Very warm welcome from the owners - interesting history of the family and the building. I wanted somewhere quiet but walkable (station and old city) and 100% made a good choice. From the train station I would recommend getting the light rail to Mahane Yehuda and walk down through the market, as there is a huge amount of construction around the station (no noise at the hotel though). Obviously for it's size, reception isn't 24/7, so it was a little more effort to arrange check-in/out times (compared with a chain hotel), but no real inconvenience. Room was excellent - modern / clean and spacious (separate room for my son). Touring tips: (1) do Yad Vashem - easy journey by light rail (2) for a great rooftop view in the old city, look for the Austrian Hospice (towards Damascus Gate) - 5 shekels well spent. (3) do Bethlehem (take some decent maps) - get the 231 bus over the road from Damascus Gate. (4) for an easier/quicker route to the Western Wall / Temple Mount, turn right immediately after going through the Jaffa Gate. At 8am I saw less than 10 people on my way across...
Prima Royale Hotel

I've stayed in Jerusalem many, many times in many different hotels, including the Inbal, King David, Orient, Plaza, etc. There was limited availability at our usual hotels at the time that we wanted to stay in November, so we took a chance on the Prima Royale. It is located a stone's throw away from the Inbal and the Dan Panorama. We were thoroughly pleased that the hotel exceeded all expectations. The staff were all pleasant and helpful. The room was updated, very clean, and very comfortable. The shower was good. The breakfast and Shabbat dinner were great. They weren't as extravagant as what you'd find in a five star hotel, but the buffets were extensive and the food was all delicious. This was an outstanding hotel experience at less than half the cost of the fanciest places in the area. We would definitely come back. Highly recommend!!
Cassia Hotel Jerusalem

West Jerusalem
This hotel was booked for me and I really had concerns about staying here after reviewing some of the photos. I was pleasantly surprised that our room was renovated very nicely. Aside from strange angled walls of the room, the space was great and the bathroom was updated with a lovely shower which was wonderful to wash off the tiredness of the day. The view from the balcony was gorgeous. The biggest problem with the room was the fact that it was booked for two acquaintances but the beds are put together as a single bed so there's no privacy/separation. The breakfast buffet was very impressive and delicious from the coffee to everything else. Dining area was lovely and enjoyable for our breakfast time. The lobby is also renovated but seems like some of the hotel sections are still under construction.
