I came to Kaifeng and booked the Huaqianshu Licheng Hotel online. The overall feeling of staying for one night was good. The front desk staff was warm and welcoming, and the room facilities were reasonably laid out. The most important thing to put forward was that the bed was very comfortable to sleep, clean and hygienic. After staying at night, it was convenient to eat around. The hotel has its own free parking lot. Breakfast is not bad. Good night yogurt was delivered at night, and local snack peanut sugar was also delivered at check-out in the morning.

I was originally meant to stay at this hotel for just 2 nights before heading to Zhengzhou, but then Henan was hit by flooding. The hotel allowed me to extend my stay and keep the same room. The hotel receptionists were fantastic, answered all my questions and helped me a lot, despite the language barrier. They even helped me get to a nearby hospital when I was injured. They are an absolute credit to the hotel. Thank you. The hotel is in a great location for exploring Kaifeng. All the main tourist sites are within walking distance, and the night market is only a couple of minutes down the road. If I was to visit Kaifeng again I would definitely stay at this hotel.

I took my two daughters on a staycation, and this hotel is very competitively priced compared to Zhengzhou. The pool is decent and the buffet is worth trying. Situated right next to a mall it offers enough to keep busy whilst being a springboard for sightseeing in Kaifeng. It would be good to be a little closer to downtown areas as you would need to rely on taxi services to and from to get anywhere. Still, I would come back again.
