We stayed at the hotel for a week and had a great relaxing time. The hotel is away from all the noise and has beautiful pool area which is what we needed. The staff is super nice and friendly , the food was good. I would recommend if you are looking for a peaceful place to enjoy and relax which is also not too far from shops , restaurants and even the main Faliraki street.

Just got back from a lovely relaxing week at the Achousa. After reading a few reviews we chose this place and agree with people's opinion on the lovely people that run it. Yes the room is a bit dated and basic, yes the beds were a bit uncomfortable and the shower/ bath was very small and unusual but it all added to the charm. The pool was lovely and refreshing, food and drinks at the pool bar were lovely ( my favourite was either the special omelette or chicken pitta Gyro 😋😋👌. What was endearing was that some of the other guests had obviously been returning here for a few years, that shows you how they feel about how lovely the staff are. Thank you everyone at the Achousa. Yamas ! 🇬🇷🇬🇷🍺🍺

As others have said, room was basic, bed uncomfortable, not much too cook with if you're self-catering. And rooms get hot, so you may need A/C at €35 a week. But the service from the staff is excellent, the pool area is nice, has a bar with great food - reasonably priced (€7-10), excellent service. WiFi is OK. There's another Bar, outside with a big TV. Bus stop about 150m away, used google maps for times, 15mins to Faliraki. You can also get to Rhodes/Lindos. Would recommend, and I'd return.

This hotel is one of the best places I have ever stayed and is incredible for a budget holiday. The family that run this place are some of the most helpful and loveliest people that can’t do enough for you. We arrived late and in a huge panic as my Mum had picked up the wrong suitcase from the airport. We rushed and checked in and Steven who is always on the front desk got us a taxi in 10 minutes. Stavros was a legend who not only got us there quick but even went into the airport with us incase we needed help. When we came back we had a lovely cold pint from the fabulous Susie and we were ready to start our holiday! The rooms are like stepping into a time machine to the 70’s and 80’s and I feel like this adds to the charm. They are extremely clean and the maids come every day except Sunday where they still change the towels. Steven is just the most hardworking and wonderful man who can never do enough for you. He never seems to sleep and always has a smile and is sometimes joined by his lovely wife Maria. We had a problem with the drain over flowing which was remedied and we asked for extra pillows which we were given. We were also made aware of the boat trips at reception and booked the trip to Lindos which I highly recommend! We paid extra for the air conditioning and to have a later check out and it was definitely worth it. We enjoyed salads and breakfasts on our balcony as well as a few drinks and Ice is always available from Susie or Maria at the pool bar where we had a couple of lovely meals. This family make the hotel and they are so incredibly helpful and lovely! The pool area is fabulous with a large pool and lilos and bat and balls left over for guests to play with. There are also some gorgeous cats the hotel looks after. Faliraki beach is a good 20 minutes walk but we always had a drink at the Alabama on the way. We also trekked 30 mins to Anthony Quinn bay and Ladiko to watch the sun rise. I also recommend Taverna Lelis nearby for some tasty traditional Greek food All in all If you are after a budget hotel with a fantastic location that has good connections and amazing staff this is the one for you! Thank you Steve and family we will definitely be back!!

The hotel is incredibly dated, the rooms are so basic, no tea or coffee unless you bring your own or buy it from the hotel, no Tv or radio in the rooms, the Breakfast was so bad that we only ate once, there is no soap to wash your hands in the communal toilets. The shower took so long to drain away. The place is clean but had to ask twice to have the room and towels changed/cleaned, the owners are very nice as was the pool area. The bus stops right outside the hotel which is a plus. This place could be lovely if they updated it. I will not go there again, I tolerated it as I had no children with me, this is not a place for kids, the beds & pillows are old and uncomfortable, air on 5 euros a night..!

We have just had a lovely week at Achousa , Rhodes. We arrived in the early hours after an eight hour delay from Manchester, tired , stressed and disillusioned , we were greeted with a smile by the owner and made to feel very welcome . Initial impressions of the accommodation is that it is dated and is basic but during our stay we had clean sheets and towels every day . If you did not bring your own pool towel (as they do take up a lot of room in your case) then Achousa have a basket of clean pool towels in reception for you to borrow for the duration of your stay . Accessories such as hairdryers , toasters , irons and safe boxes are also available from reception. Stephen who runs the hotel is very helpful in all aspects and will assist with any queries . The pool snack bar , run by Maria and her family is an absolute gold mine . We ate there every day , a good variety of breakfast, lunch snacks and meals for the evening , Greek and English . Maria herself is a beautiful soul who treats everyone as family . Pool is good going from shallow to deep enough to dive . It could benefit from a clean but it is coming to the end of the holiday season. Plenty of sunbeds no fighting or getting up with the birds to put your towel out . The only two negatives if any are that you have to pay for air conditioning but when you do its well worth it . The other negative is the lack of a microwave in self catering apar**ents . It was our wedding anniversary while we were at Achousa and Maria and her family made the evening very special .

I thought it would be poor value here and couldn’t believe it when we got there , really clean tidy and really friendly staff fresh bedding and towels every day and perfect as the bus stop outside takes you to Rhodes or Lindos so it’s the perfect location right in the middle and also Anthony Quinn Bay 20 minutes walk would really recommend this place

This hotel is extremely average and incredibly dated. Myself and my partner booked this hotel as a last minute holiday stay and despite it being 3 stars (I normally book for 4+) the positive reviews and photos made us decide to give it a go. Upon arrival we were given a room key and told we had to pay seperate for air con (which was not advised in our package and resulted in an extra €20). They also had no personal safe in the room and charged €10 to keep belongings downstairs. The lift to the hotel also felt uneasy and jolted so this was avoided throughout our entire stay. When entering the room it was COMPLETELY different to online photos, very dated, little decor, furniture that was broken and VERY flat, uncomfortable beds with 1 pillow (see photo). The linen didn’t feel particularly clean, many of the sheets had holes in as did our towels (suggesting they weren’t being properly checked). The bathroom was AWFUL, again dated with a broken toilet seat and broken light, the taps were covered in limescale and also not properly cleaned, differing massively from our expectations. We selected self catering, but didn’t cook once, cooking facilities were unclean, old and the kettle was dirty inside. Within the hallways of the hotel there were also many bugs, cockroaches and overall didn’t feel very clean or hygienic. We rarely used any of the hotel facilities as we wanted to spend as little time at the hotel as possible, but from glance the pool area was very basic, with no a**osphere, lifeguard or music and overall looked very unappealing. We also ate breakfast once which wasn’t great, we opted for an English breakfast which was tasteless and cheap. The only positives of this hotel was the location (we travelled by taxi everywhere which wasn’t too expensive) and the man on the front desk, who seemed lovely. The holiday and Rhodes itself was beautiful, but this hotel really ruined the experience and refused us of a clean, comfortable place to return to after long days travelling or visiting the beaches. The hotel was just not up to standard, needs serious updating and was a 2 STAR at best, will not be returning & would not recommend.
