Bir is a small town or hill station and Bir Billing is famous for paragliding. Found the Nature waterfall resort online while looking for a stay and then directly did a deal with the owner Nisha. Very nice to speak to, nice host. She gave us a deal with breakfast and including taxes and also helped our pickup from the bus stand to the resort which is about 5 kms. We took 2 rooms in single occupancy. The resort has 6 camps. Nice modern furnishing. Fairly new property. Beds are cosy though a bit smaller than queen size. Restroom is decent. They keep toiletries. They provide only tea sachet no coffee. The camps open to the beautiful valley and waterfall. Bangoru waterfall is very close by and you can trek to it but hire a guide because the trek is narrow and difficult at places. We were quite disappointed to see that there were no fans either in the camp let alone coolers or AC. Weather was hot when we arrived and it was very difficult to stay in the room without fan. On complaining they tried to arrange for a fan in one of the room but we had to settle for no fan in the other room until night. Then they arranged for an old table fan from someone for the 2nd room which almost fell but at the end atleast I cud sleep. Nisha also offered us a refund in case we decided to change our place of stay because we cudnt have stayed without fan etc. though she was trying to get coolers the same day but couldn’t. the good thing was that she understood our predicament and problem and purchased 2 new coolers the very next morning. They have cute nice restaurant upstairs cafe style. Food is ala Carte. Potato onion paranthas were good. Gobhi was good too with butter curd. Mushroom pickle was the only thing they had but it wasn’t good. Paneer gravy, dal was good too. Sandwiches for breakfast were nice. Tea was ok. They used to get food from kitchen downstairs without covering it. It turned cold but on giving feedback they started covering it with a foil. Omelette was ok. The guy who ***ages the restaurant sings and plays guitar. One can have a nice time. There is some green area to walk on and there are a few cafes and grocery shops nearby that you can try. They have a cute dog on the premises. Nisha helped us arrange for paragliding too. And provide a nice guide for the Bangoru waterfall trek. Overall we enjoyed our stay. Nice weather post the rains. Heavy downpour. Peaceful location, lovely view. Tents are sturdy and nice decor. Good material is used. Interiors are nicely done.
