Blue Viking Studios

Had a great stay in studio No1. Big room with comfy bed. Very accommodating and kind owners. Airport shuttle was cheap for 2 people Vs taxi. Studios are close to the airport. Kitchen facilities were good too. Can't fault them!

We stayed one night before we flew home to UK. we’d rented a motor home and that company offered us a free transfer after dropping the van to our overnight accommodation. We were given Pod 20. All the pods are obviously the same and completely adequate for what we need. A comfy bed, a tv (take ear buds etc). Excellent showers and a kitchen area to make coffees etc too. The whole place is very, very clean. Only downside would be that as people arrived back to spend the night in their allocated Pod, it was a tad noisy, but let’s be honest, no one sleeps properly when you’ve an early alarm call. We walked into the town of Keflavík for dinner (about 5 minutes walk) and enjoyed a very nice meal overlooking the sea. We booked an airport transfer with the Pod company for 4am and the driver (owners son in law I think) was prompt and friendly. The price was good and the staff we encountered were friendly. I’d definitely recommend using the Pods and I’d use them again.

We are 8 people . Apartments greats, clean, price very competitive. Staff very nice , Efficient, fast and attentive to any request.

Really good value compared to other hotels near the airport. Beds were very comfortable and the rooms well appointed. You have to self check in but everything went smoothly. We liked the common kitchen area plus the rooms have a mini kitchen and fridge.

Well, you sleep in boxes, it was fun for just one night stay, we arived very late at night and this was no problem at all. Compared to the low prices everything was ok. It would have been nice to be able to control the temperature in the box, but the air cycler did a fine job.

First the good. This place is clean, comfortable, and very conveniently located. It is about 5km from the airport and should be great for those catching an early flight. Now the BAD! Blue Viking Studios is located in an industrial type business area. When we arrived, in the early evening, there were parking spaces to be found. A large party was underway in the parking lot and in the offices directly below our 2nd floor room. Approximately 30+ young people were drinking alcohol, yelling and blasting loud music. Initially we thought that this was a bar, but Blue Viking assured us that it was a private party being held by the business on ground floor. Blue Viking’s management did their best to deal with the issue, even contacting the police, but the police would do nothing about it until midnight. The yelling and noise continued until about 1 AM as the party gradually broke up. We got very little sleep and we were exhausted arriving at our flight early the next morning. Our experience was brutal. The positives of this place did not outweigh the negatives in our opinion. Would not stay here again.

We had a wonderful family stay! The room was clean and spacious, the host was very kind and helpful. The amenities were great. Perfect location (close to Keflavik airport) and very family-friendly. Blue Lagoon is a short distance to reach by car. Highly recommended!
